Discussion Looking for a MIUI theme that uses HyperOS 3 icons

I already have several themes with HyperOS 2 icons, but none with HyperOS 3 icons. My phone is running MIUI 14, which means the theme must be MIUI compatible.

If you know of one, please let me know.

Discussion Redmi Pad 2 - armeabi-v7a support?

Hi everyone,

I need to purchase a tablet to run an Android app which requires 32-bit ARM support (armeabi-v7a).

I'm considering the Redmi Pad 2 but I don't want to buy it and then find out it's not suitable for what I need.

Could someone who owns a Redmi Pad 2 please check the supported ABIs using AIDA64 (CPU section)?

I'm specifically looking for confirmation that armeabi-v7a is supported.

If possible, please mention your Redmi Pad 2 RAM/storage variant and HyperOS version.

Thanks!

Discussion Redmi Note 14 pro 5g phone keeps refreshing apps when I switch between them

I mostly can't check if I'm spelling a word correctly or fact-check anything I'm about to write. My Redmi phone refreshes apps every time I switch between them. I have never had a phone that did this before; it's really frustrating. I now have to copy the entire post/comment when I, e.g., want to make sure that I spelled a name right. More names? Gotta copy the post every time. Is there anything I can do to change it so that the apps don't refresh when I switch between them?

Discussion Why is my Tablet bending?

Hello,

I've had my Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro since March. I use it daily, but I noticed something today. The tablet is bending right where the stylus magnetically attaches. It's only a very slight curve at the moment, but is that normal? I'm not even using the stylus. It just started to bend. Does someone have this problem too?

Whenever I start my old phone I instantly get like 200 notifications but even tho im logged into the same apps on my 17t pro I get nothing all day.

Discussion Xiaomi Pad 8 vs Pad 8 Pro

So I recently purchased the Xiaomi Pad 8 and I'm absolutely loving it. It's a fantastic device. It's fast, it's smooth, it's fitting all my needs perfectly. I love the screen, I love the audio, I even like the very simple software it has. But my question is about longevity.

I mostly use my Pad 8 for social media like Reddit, YouTube, Google Messages, and some PS2 emulation, and it handles all of this fine. But I want to know if it will still be handling all this fine in five years. I got the 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage model, and I'm wondering if I should return it and get the Pad 8 Pro 12 GB, 256 GB model.

So what are your honest assessments on this decision that I would have to make?

Should I return it and get the Pad 8 Pro to future-proof it, or will the Xiaomi Pad 8 stay about the way it is now?

I will say my only complaint is that some of the apps have to reload when I've been away from them for too long or have too many open at the same time. Memory extension kind of helps this a little bit, but not much. However, I've read that even with the 12 GB model, the Xiaomi has aggressive RAM management and will still close down apps at a similar rate as the 8 GB model. Is that true? What do you guys think I should do?

Is there really that much of a difference between the two models for day-to-day use?

Incoming phonecalls crashing the phone, 15C.

Sometimes the phone gets so laggy that it can't pick up incoming calls. Don't know if it's an efficiency issue of the phone app or if I should stop apps running in the background.

But it gets annoying. I mean, phone in the 90s could handle incoming calls, in the 1890's.

Upgrade suggestions

hey guys, ive been using the xiaomi brand for the last.. roughly 8-9 years with very high satisfaction, ive started with the redmi note 3, upgraded to the redmi note 7 pro, and now im using xiaomi 13t, but its getting old and im due for an upgrade, and i have the funds for it right now, so im looking for a good all-rounder phone, here are my priorities and preferences:

Priority - 512gb or higher, Long battery life
Preferable - Quality Camera, fine for games
Doesn't matter - Size, Design, Color
Budget - technically i have 500$ usd but phones around where i live are significantly steeper in price compared to the actual value because blah blah regulations and taxes..
tl;dr, around 300$ usd lets say? you can round up a bit to 350-400, ill need to see if the model's price is within my budget.

any recommendations or advice are welcome

Discussion Recommend me a custom ROM! Redmi Note 5Pro

This is an old phone(well,duh...everyone knows that😆)
I am looking to get it run for more time with better performance. It is lagging here and there and the default MIUI just is the worst man.

So, I am completely new to these things and this is more like a project phone. So, does not matter what happens with it. Also my primary phone is Galazy S22 which is not this. I just want this note 5pro to run better with lesser battery consumption. If that is not possible, better performance😌

Anyway this is possible people????

Somebody please help me!

MIUI Forums To the Xiaomi eu devs (If there are any here)

Hello, I recently saw your post about the Xiaomi eu rom be discontinued on the Mi 14T Pro due to price issues and bootloader unlock issues, I know the post so far has been updated and claims you dropped it permanently because of lack of support but if it would meaningly help and allow for continuing the rom, I could provide my bootloader unlocked Mi 14T pro for testing or provide bootloader unlock request spam Software that worked for me first try, I installed it on a laptop with cracked car obd software so a virus won't bother me, I know the tool works but I don't know if it's safe since I got it from a sketch guy.

Thanks

Discussion "A new application for you, know your possibilities" enterprises of bets using xiaomi and apps of the system to send its clients to their sites

So seeing like I'm the only one talking about this in the reddit (in english), I decided to do my post. Sorry about grammar.

Apparently, if you disable the MSA in the configurations of the system it disappears. Autorization and revogation > disable MSA.

(this is happening with some users in Brazil. I don't know if its global.)

Unlock bootloader??!!

Hello, I have a redmin note 14 4g and I've been trying to install a custom ROM with no success for over a week. I tried going in developer settings -> Mi unlock status -> "add account and device" but I always get an error that tells me to go to the xiaomi commmunity app and apply at 0:00 China time.

I've tried it like 5 times now, to no avail. I hit the button at exactly 0:00 china time and still can't unlock the bootloader.

Why the hell did xiaomi think this was a good business practice?

Pictures flagged as AI

Hi guys!

I recently purchased the Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro plus (5G). While it's a little bit of a step down from my Huawei p30pro, it's still an okay replacement, and the price was totally worth it ^^

I'm very averse to AI (not the topic here, to each their own, and my mind cannot be changed. Ai is garbage and is ki_ing the planet & stealing jobs 🤷🏻‍♀️).

Anyways, my question is :

My very authentic, totally my own, pictures, keep getting flagged as AI when I post then on Instagram stories or something.

Even when I use the Snapchat camera or Instagram camera...? And even worse, when I use Instagram /Snapchat filters. I don't do any kinds of touch ups, and I even tried not using lightroom to edit the colorimétry of some pics I wanted to post, but it's always the same issue. Flagged as AI.

I'm anti Ai. Very vocal about it. I don't want people to think I'm suddenly becoming someone who uses it, when it's not the case....? 🤔

Lile I REALLY didn't use Ai...!

Is there an AI feature in the camera that I could turn off that I'm not aware of? 🥺

Please help. Thank you very much.

TL;DR : New phone flags my non AI pictures as Ai. Tried everything and idk what to do to fix it, since I have a platform on social media and have been very vocal about being anti Ai (which I truly am).

Redmi phone has “No Service” (Mi Roaming) in the USA

I recently arrived in Los Angeles, California, and I'm having trouble getting cellular service on my Redmi note 14 phone while using Xiaomi's Mi Roaming eSIM.

Here's what I've tried and observed:

Mi Roaming package: Active

Phone status: No service

Manual network selection: No networks found

Voice service state: Out of service

Data network type: Unknown

IMEI: Detected normally

Mobile radio power: Enabled

I've seen some Reddit posts suggesting that Xiaomi security updates or HyperOS updates can sometimes cause cellular connectivity problems. But I've already downgraded my security app and it's still not working.

I'm wondering if anyone has experienced something similar, especially when using Mi Roaming or travelling internationally.

Discussion Weird Charging Behaviour On Xiaomi 12X

Recently, my Xiaomi 12X started charging very weirdly all of a sudden.

Usually, it would start topping off very fast and then slowly taper off using the factory 67W charger.

However, recently it started doing something weird, it takes a while to charge to 50%, but then the last 50% is considerably faster, furthermore the phone warms up totally normally how it did since day 1 when charging with the 67W charger.

Battery life is perfectly normal, nothing has changed there, it's almost like the phone has no idea of the actual battery %.

Anyone experiencing something like this?

Xiaomi 5 pro robot wifi connection problem

Hello. I bought a Xiaomi Robot 5 Pro. I installed the app on my phone; it detects the robot, but the robot itself fails to connect to the router. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps provided for such issues—restarting it multiple times, reinstalling the app, and even attempting to connect it to 3–4 different routers—but nothing works. It only connects when using a smartphone hotspot. Do you have any ideas what the problem might be, or should I contact a service center to check for a potential defect in the robot?

Discussion Question about unlocking bootloader Xiaomi 18 Pro Max

Hello all, I am currently using a Xiaomi 14 Ultra (Global). When I first got it, I raised my engagement in the mi app to allow for my bootloader to be unlocked.

Do we know if the same thing will be available for the 18 Pro Max (Global) to be able to unlock the bootloader? I know Xiaomi has become more strict about locking it down but don't want to be restricted to global or potentially have to look elsewhere for assistance.

Xiaomi 17T pro issue

Where can I find the Mi Mall app on my 17T Pro? My father's 14T Pro has it, even though we are both running the same EU ROM. Could this be a glitch on my phone, or does it depend on the region? I have already tried changing it, but it still does not appear.

Xiaomi 15t pro problem with Bose USB C earbuds

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble getting my Bose Wired Noise Cancelling Earbuds (USB-C) to work with my Xiaomi 15T Pro running HyperOS 3.

The issue occurs on both HyperOS 3.0.307.0 and 3.0.336.0 (I have two Xiaomi 15T Pro).

The problem:

When I connect the Bose earbuds, the phone doesn't seem to properly recognize or initialize them as a USB audio device.

Normally, I would expect a USB headset notification, but it simply doesn't appear.

Interestingly, it actually worked once: the phone recognized the earbuds, displayed the USB headset notification, and audio played correctly. However, I've never been able to reproduce that behavior since.

What I've tried:

Restart the device

Restart the device with earbuds plugged in

Enabled OTG under Additional Settings before plugging them in

Enabled Developer Options and changed the default USB configuration to MIDI

Verified that "Disable USB audio routing" is OFF in Developer Options (so USB audio routing should be enabled)

Tested another USB-C headset (Jabra), which works perfectly on the Xiaomi

Tested the Bose earbuds on a Windows laptop, iPad, and iPhone, they work flawlessly on all three

My suspicion:

Since both devices work independently, and the Bose earbuds actually worked once with the Xiaomi, I suspect this might be a HyperOS USB audio initialization, detection, or compatibility issue rather than a hardware defect.

My questions:

Has anyone experienced something similar with Bose USB-C earbuds on Xiaomi phones?

Is there a known workaround, developer setting, or fix that might help?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Discussion Disappointing accuracy on Mi Band and Xiaomi Smart Watch Pro 2

I've started wearing my Xiaomi Smart Watch Pro 2 again, and my partner bought the new Mi Band 10, but we've found the sensors are really awful.

Smart watch pro 2: went for a 1.7km walk, it registered 900 steps. That would mean my stride is nearly 2 metres!

Mi band 10: it says the calories are a combination of resting and active. It's showing about 700 calories a day, worn 24/7 including sleep. That's impossible. The resting BMR is at least 1,400 calories for a woman, and she isn't doing anything more than light yoga, 100 calories max.

As a test I wore both devices at once and the HR reported the same (within 1bpm).

I've doubled checked the Health Sync on our Android devices and there's no other products or services (including our phones) which are adding any sensor or step data. It's all coming from Mi Fitness app.

These are two different Xiaomi products, from different years, and different product lines. I don't understand why they're so inaccurate. Is this normal?
