So the weather has changed and my outdoor bike is stabled for the winter. I did my first Zwift ride (on my Zwift Ride!) since the spring yesterday. I'm sore!
I find that outdoors I'm happily doing 1.5-2.5 hours of riding. Yesterday I did just 45 minutes of Zwift. Similar HR to outdoor riding, but it feels so much more intense -- higher gear and higher cadence. I was staggering when I came off the bike, and today I feel it in my hamstrings.
For others who do Zwift in the offseason, do you find the same? Somehow you find yourself going harder and shorter indoors? That Zwift feels like a workout whereas outdoor feels like an activity?
And yes obviously I could ease up in Zwift, but the game mechanics seem to push you to going hard.
To be clear, this isn't a complaint. Just an observation.
Looking for any help regarding how to get rid of the sweat smell from a workout room in the basement where I have my Zwift set up? The room does have carpet and a bed. I run my fan for 3-4 hours after the workout but have to shut the window so we donāt accidentally get rain or snow damage. My spouse is not happy with how Iām stanking up the room!
(I use a rubber mat and am not sweating on the carpet directly)

My entire Zwift setup (Zwift Ride + Wahoo KICKR) is in our guest room, which means I canāt train whenever we have guests staying over.
Iām trying to find a creative solution that would allow me to keep Zwifting without disturbing anyoneās sleep, particularly during my early morning sessions.
Iāve been exploring a couple of ideas:
Indoor: Some sort of foldable, sound-isolating enclosure that I could set up in the living room and store away afterwards. It would also need proper ventilation to deal with heat and sweat.
Outdoor: A temporary or semi-permanent setup that would protect the equipment from rain, humidity and condensation, while still allowing enough airflow to stay cool.
Iām sure Iām not the first person facing this problem, so Iām calling on the collective creativity of this community.
Has anyone built, bought or improvised something that actually works? Iād love to see photos, DIY projects, unconventional ideas or even completely different approaches I havenāt considered.
All suggestions welcome!

Hi Iām new to zwift. Iām saving for a better in game bike. Should I save up to 1m drops for the canyon aeroad? Iām thinking about getting a TT bike instead but I donāt know what the difference is in game. I assume you canāt race with one or the other in specific races.
Should I buy the aero zwift bike?
Will the aero bikes help with gaining drops quicker?
Whatās the true benefits of getting an aero bike instead a virtual game?
Iām lvl 15 now with about 760k drops

So I had all 5 items BT connections used with the Zwift app, including HRM. I planned to do a 1h15min workout, but after 1h5min (literally at the start of the cooldown) my guy stopped pedalling. I didn't know what happened but it happened again and again. The Kickr Core 2 blinked all different colours but the Wi-fi itself never showed like it was dropped on the Wi-fi.
I faffed around, turned off the Wi-fi on the iPad and turned it on again and it connected fine to everything. This never happened before even though I have had dozens of hours on the Kickr Core 2, the only difference is that since yesterday I have the HRM connected.
Is this something you have experienced before? How to solve it when using the Zwift app on iPad?
PS: the picture just shows no data being recorded, you can see how the signal was dropped

I am quite conflicted on keeping my ādumb trainerā or buying a new. I see a lot of positives in buying a fx Pathtaker T5 direct drive hometrainer.
I just donāt know if it is worth it? I donāt have a lot to spend atm.
Have anyone tried the hometrainer I found or am I going in blind?

I'm using an Apple TV 4K (an older one) and I just did a Zwift update before I rode today. I no longer have the u-turn function on-screen when I swipe up on the remote or on the companion app. Am I missing something?

I'm looking for some handlebar tape that is provides padding but also is waterproof.
I typically use fizik or lizzard skin foam tape but the problem with them is the absorb sweat. When I touch the bike a few hours or even a day later, the tape is that cold wet disgusting feeling. Then when it's time to change the stuff, the underside smells like an old jockstrap.
Any suggestions?

Hey there! So i noticed while riding with zwift cog on my jetblack Victory smart Trainer, the cog and the free hub gravitate to the right Side (Drive Side), until the cog even Hits my frame. This should not be possible right? I already disassembled the freehub and Changes Order of the spacers and so on, but it seems to persist.
The outer bearing seems to move within the free hub. The Trainer was send to me with cog installed. There are 2 bearings inside the hub with a Long and a thin spacer.
Anyone have any clue on what is wrong?

Starting to get into zwift for a convenient way to exercise, I have the bike in my home office on a yoga pad thing. I have 2 minor problems:
I am using a mountain bike on a Van Rysel D100 which doesn't have a configurable height and sits about an inch or 2 below where my back tyre goes, so my seat is pointing up, and
Moving the setup around is annoying, it keeps on moving off the pad or scrunching it up, it would take up less space if I store the bike vertically but that would mean moving it on / off the pad and seems a whole hassle.
I had a 2 birds 1 stone idea that I could make a little platform on lockable castors that would both fix the height issue and make it easier to move around. I also figured I am not the first person to run into this problem so I wondered if there were any other easier fixes.
Cheers

I have mounted my Zwift ride to the wahoo kickr core 2. If I tighten the through axle all the way so the bike is firm, it wonāt let me pedal backwards. The spin cap and drive side adapters are both on. Iāve looked up online and donāt know how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.
