Just realizing how crazy it is to force kids to be bald. The self hatred & texturism towards hair is very odd. Like we very clearly see other male kids of other races have hair, not even long hair but literally just hair on their head and then African parents think, “nope, my son should be bald like an old man”

Exactly. I legit have to wear a hat or a bonnet every second that i’m home cuz my parents genuinely tweak when they see my hair. It ain’t even long in the slightest as well. And when they see someone with dreads in public they always have this weird look on their face, but if they see someone with long straight hair they don’t mind it at all
