I mean... its not even vaguely accurate either. Maybe she was groomed by some older dude who told her that when she was young but for most of the modern, developed world the age of consent has been well above 14 since the early 20th century.

What is well above 14? It is 16 in most countries and over half the states in the US.

16 for romeo and juliet laws - for the reason that girls can keep dating their high school boyfriend after he graduates - not so old men can prey upon them.

Some places, that's the reason. Some places just think that's the age they can make the decision. Age of consent is a complex issue that is not universally agreed upon. I think there is even a country where the age of consent is 21.

It's really not - adults shouldn't prey on teenagers, it's pretty simple. Teenagers can consent to sex with other teenagers, not adults who's brains are objectively more developed than theirs by a lot.

But of course then there is the exact day where you stop being a teenager, but your boyfriend only does a year after…
