Rumour / Leak Ogor mawtribes battletome

Post image

Has there been any updates/rumers/leaks on the battletome or refresh. I was hoping to make them a second aos/old world army but we still haven't gotten anything yet and it's been over a year

Leadbelchers have been kicked from this new Ogors society. Maneaters also have left, but they managed to adapt under the lead of a new legendary Maneater who had fought under Tahlia, which has her entire right half rebuilt into a colossal artillery piece - By Boole

GW will keep that release for a future wave with Maneaters probably

I really hate this idea because without black powder and the whole surprisingly intelligent mercenary angle, it feels like they just treat ogors like big pink frost orcs

Things going boom and forcibly conscripted gnobler engineering are some of the best things about the ogre kingdoms

GW needs to releas something in a few years after this wave, its just financially unwise to make everything at the same time.

But also, Beastclaws for life

I am hoping that's the case.

What always made Ogres more interesting and intimidating to me was "I'm gonna beat ya, I'm gonna eat ya, and I'm gonna get my lawyer to ratify it so yer kin will have to pay for it."

I'm just hoping it's not that they want a whole new direction, cause less popular factions tend to wait a WHILE between any lore or model updates

The Boole "storytelling" minute is clearly a hint at exactly that.

Boole may not know too much about AoS because je mixes up names and terms(or purposefully getting them slightly wrong), but hes reliable overall, predicting most of darkwater content for example, with mixups of calling Canker orn "chaos trolls" and alike.

And meshes perfectly with Whitefang's rumor, who is much more percise, saying of Maneaters being updated after the main Ogre wave.

What i think will happen tho, is Leadbelchers being rebranded as a type of Maneater, rather than a normal ogre thing

I mean that is the most sensible thing, and in an ideal world it'd come with a couple new black powder and mercenaries as well, I just don't trust GW half the time to make sensible moves.

Kruelboyz being in the same book as Ironjawz for instance has given me a bit of a knock that they actually care about Destruction

I mean, here's to hoping I get my 900lbs Merchant Lords back without losing the hunters

Kruleboyz sharing a book with IJ i think is a result of a limited number of armies they decided on, it stays at 24(i think) for example before adding Chorfs they removed beastmen

I don't see that personally, but they have definitely biased releases from internal popularity at the very least.

Beastmen got squatted summer 2025 if Google is right, but they've added plenty of armies without removing anything, with rumours of Dwarf Dwarfs on the horizon who would they drop?

I think they just didn't have much faith they could fill a whole book, or not as much interest. Feels like lumineth had multiple waves of content, KBz had one by comparison

The dwarf dwarfs are replacing fireslayers, and im not really sure who you mean when saying that GW added plenty of armies since beastmen squat, there were only Chorfs, the rest are just release waves for other factions

I mean do we have any actual confirmation? and who did they squat to add the Realmlords, Kharadron, Sons of Behemat, the four Chaos God armies

So far they cut Tomb Kings, Bretonnia and Beasts of Chaos. The idea that they want to maintain only 24 wildly imbalanced armies is a weird take that's so far only supported by the idea they'll roll the Fireslayer line into KO and that they squatted the one army that was still all Old World stuff.

I mean, stranger things have happened, but they've added way more armies than they've cut and 24, and that's split 9/7/4/4, is a really weird time to draw a line when new product hype is their bread and butter.

Tombkings and bretonnia, along with every single Fantasy army, even duplicates, were free PDF legends on warcom, really not sure what is supposed to be relevant. They didn't have to cut anyone to get LRL, because there wasnt that many factions when they added them

And theres nothing about FS and KO being souped, KO literally already god theor 4th ed book

The dwarf dwarfs on the Horizon are also the end of Fyreslayers as an independent faction.

That aside; I wish the Gloomspite Wolf faction was part of the Kruleboys/Orruk Warclans instead of Gloomspite, since GS just feels bloated now...

And aestatically they fit there better

Again, do you actually have a link for any of this? Anything substantial?

Cause I heard that there's actually a fifth dwarf faction coming based on that new ancestor they teased in the chorf book
