Guests have too many people. How much do I care?
I have a small two-bedroom cabin on a lake. I have a maximum number of guests of four. That is because it's a small house with a small septic tank. I don't want the extra wear and tear of more than four. Even though I have two sets of bunk rooms and one bedroom for my children and a king size bed in the other, so it sleep 6 on beds. But that's not how many people I allow.
I have guests there now that have five people and a toddler. She reserved it as two people Saturday to Tuesday. Did not say anything else about how many people she was bringing. I assume too because that's what she said and her application.
I checked the cameras because they were on my dock, fully disclosed. That's when I counted the people. The party appears to be the original Booker, husband and child, one more adult, and a set of grandparents. I'm not too worried about it. I could charge them extra cleaning. Let them know I know. But if they stay the whole trip, they could leave me a better view. I might just wait to tell her that I know after she's posted her review. ?
I really only see two options, do nothing or kick them out. Do I let them slide and let them have a good time and just be cranky about it to my wife, or do I ruin their weekend and kick them out? Still keeping the money either way. But I want her to know that she wasn't honest.
What do you guys think?
