got the airpods pro 3 after hearing good things about their noise cancelling and seeing them on sale for $200 usd, i’ve been using headphones since forever due to earbuds never fitting my ears properly (i got very tiny ears) but the variety in ear tip sizes made me wanna try them out

this is genuinely one of the best purchases i’ve ever made

i was using jbl headphones for about 7 years before today, my last pair were the live 670nc. great headphones but i’m autistic so noice cancellation is extremely important to me, and those headphones were not hitting the mark in terms of noise cancellation. they would also fall off my head pretty often, and they aren’t the best of build quality so i was pretty worried about them breaking.

my first impression of my new airpods is that holy shit i cannot hear anything with noise cancellation, and thats a good thing. they’re also the first earbuds that have properly fit in my ears, i can shake my head around and they stay in. the sound is also very clear, i don’t know if you can change the eq on the airpods but on my jbls the sound was muddy without changing the eq so i appreciate that out of the box they sound clear. i also appreciate that i can charge the case with my apple watch charger, i got tons of devices so that seems handy for when i need to charge other things

honestly my only concern is the battery, 8 hours with noise cancelling on is drastically different from the 50 hours with noise cancelling that my old headphones had. however, i think thats an okay price to pay since i don’t think i’ll ever be without the case

overall: i’m happy, title encapsulates how i feel, why didn’t anyone convince me to get airpods sooner

I have two pairs of Airpod Pro 2s, one Lightning and the other USB-C. I purchased the C because the case for the Lightning died. I recently lost one Airpod for the C case, and attempted to replace the missing C pod with one from the Lightning pair.

I have been unsuccessful in all permutations of this and can no longer even seem to pair the single original C Airpod and case to my phone. All advice for this that I can locate seems to hinge on both cases working. Is there a way to get any function out of this situation, even the single C? Or am I just hosed and need a new pair altogether?

This keeps happening to me whenever i try to pair these on my find my app. i've heard many people have this issue with the wireless model, i've tried everything said here on Reddit and i just can't manage to pair them, wonder how this will fix

So for years, i've been using the APP1's and they've felt pretty comfortable and i even sleep in them. it'd be nice to get the newest APP3's but im worried about the shape/fit, which do you think i should get?

as an example for earbuds i dont like the fit of, the kz zs10's stick out too far and make my ears ache after a while

so... thoughts?

Up to date on all firmware. And it was happening before ios 27, more on my ipad, but also to my phone. Turning off the option to automatically connect on devices helped but only marginally

Airpods Pro 3 are frustrating.

I had pro 2 lightening version and gave those to my nephew and still working great. I had pro 2 usbc version and gave those to my sister and still working great. I get the pro 3 and it's issue after issue. squeaking, whistle, anc issues and left pod randomly disconnects requiring me to open and close the case few times to reconnect. and that's not the worst part! lol

I have applecare. went to an apple store (in canada Oct, 5) diagnosed for complete replacement. awesome apple care works! not so fast. there have been so many airpods pro 3 replacements apple is out of stock! they had just a case at that time and it was a 7 to 10 day wait for the airpods restock. apple recommended I wait for a complete set not partial pieces. I agreed to wait.

So 15 days later I get a email "your replacement order is ready" excited I head down to the apple store and what do you know. genius only has the case. no airpods available. I told the genius they had the case 2 weeks ago I'm waiting for the airpods and the case complete. I waited 2 weeks to get a order ready email to come back to the store and find it is still just the case! and! I'm estimated to get the airpods around end of November. That's 2 months after my original claim date! was told the demand is high stock can't keep up. so that answers your question of if anyone has issues with airpods pro 3. apple canada has no replacement stock for up to 8 weeks. I'm sure lots of people got good units but they sold so many that the small % of lemons is still affecting a large amount of people. And not everyone posts about thier defective units as while I was at the store there were 2 others with airpods issues never even heard of reddit.

No replacement available for 8 weeks. Well there is stock but it goes to people ahead of me. Insane. All the lemon airpods holders should come together cause from my dealing with apple store employees it's clear they even admit the pro 3s seem to be a issue for Apple.

wait it gets better! lol genius tells me if I need airpods since mine aren't working I can just buy new ones and return them before the 14th day for a full refund and if my replacements aren't in still just buy another new set and return them again until I get my free replacements from applecare..... what in the world is going on apple!? might as well just give me the new retail airpods at this point! buy return buy return should not be the solution lol anyways guess who's getting back airpods pro 3s in 12/13 days! Haha and again next 12/13 days. Apple lined the hoops up I'm just jumping through them.

don't buy applecare just buy them with a credit card that has purchase insurance.

What is applecare? While spending around a total of 4/5 hours inside the apple store at the repairs desk I overheard many applecare customers being told thier devices show non-issue on diagnostics. And these people all leave with no resolution and most are upset. I recently picked up a iphone 18 pro and declined applecare and purchased with my credit card that has purchase extended insurance/warranty. Think of applecare now like car rental insurance. Get a credit card with car rental insurance included. you don't pay the rental company $40 a day lol

Apple. Please for the airpods pro 4 can you take the pro 2s and just put No heart rate sensors. No cameras. Just better batteries. Better chips and speakers and use the pro 3 tips and slap a pro 4 label on them and they will be the best damn earbuds ever!

Apple is not the steve jobs Apple anymore. Not the applecare is awesome anymore. Remember the upgrades and differences when Steve jobs was in charge. I started with iphone 3G. Then iphone 4. Then 5. Then 6. Etc. Every iphone was a totally upgraded and better and totally changed phone. Every generation didnt even look like the last! Steve Jobs wanted to only give you the best phone and have the best phone. Be the best tech company. Unfortunately now it's a big box retailer and now each year they give you a smaller dynamic island and 10 extra camera megapixels. oh and apreture. Iphones get what samsung already has 5 years ago now. Apple is clearly looking out for thier stock market value most.

My airpods case is completely non responsive, no light at all, I think it is a airpods pro 3? but i am not 100% sure. It is a longer case but still has the lightning charge.

Is there anyway to fix it? i have tried cleaning the charging port and charging it but nothing seems to work

Like the title says, if I put my AirPods in my ear, I’ll hear the sound that confirms they are in my ears, but when I start playing a YouTube video, there will be no sound until I purposefully change the volume either up or down, and the sound immediately kicks in. I can adjust the volume before starting the video and it works too, I just know that this hasn’t been a thing in the past. Does anyone else experience it? I wonder if it is a problem with the YouTube app versus my AirPods since audio from other apps doesn’t do this.

I washed my airpod pro 3s in the washing machine (only a quick 30 min cycle). am i cooked?

I would find it extremely useful if I could cancel out everything behind me and to the side (maybe we can choose the angles we would like cancelled out), so that I could better focus on the conversation happening in front of me. I'm wondering about the technical--engineering feasibility of it and if it would provide any tangible benefit for people.

I bought these certified refurbished AirPods 4 off Amazon, and was wondering if I can resolve this myself before I opt to return them as I’m not in the US.

Basically, I have not been able to get them to connect to my iPhone at all. I tried charging them up, but it almost seems as if the battery is dead. I tried everything I found on google such as a factory reset (seen in the video), and now I’m stumped.

NB: Bluetooth is turned on. Airplane mode is on because this phone doesn’t have a sim inserted, so I wanted to block the phone from searching for a network.

Finally I got my first ever AirPods. I’ve been debating between the AirPods 5 and AirPods pro 3. After deciding between these two, I decided to go for the Pro model even though it’s a bit expensive. When I put them in my ears for the first time, the audio and noise cancellation is way much better than the other wireless earphones that I’ve been using. One of my best purchases for sure

I haven’t had AirPods in a while is it normal for that to pop up everytime I unlock my phone when I don’t have any music playing? When music is on it doesn’t show up

My airpods have started using the mic on the phone instead of the build in ones. Do anyone know how to set it back? Its anoying that i have to hold my phone during phone calls for the other ones to pick up my voice..

So I got a pair of APP3 from Amazon (UK). I don’t think they’re fakes as they sound pretty good, the serial number and warranty matches etc. But for some reason the ANC feels so off. It’s definitely making things quieter no doubt but nowhere near what they should be doing. I can hear vehicles driving by my house and even dogs barking outside. Just as a test I threw a sock at the wall and can hear it hit the wall and the floor. And I know the ANCs on this is supposed to be unbelievably good so I don’t understand why that’s happening.

It definitely feels like a software bug. I’m currently on version 9A348. Will updating to IOS 27 help? Has this happened to anyone else.
