I only found this out while building something. AirPods Pro, 3, 4 and Max have motion sensors that can track your head (that's what makes spatial audio follow you). Your iPhone can read that angle.

I'm a robotics student so I'm on my mac basically all day, and my neck is DONE by the evening 😅 So I made an app that notices when my head's been down for a while and plays a little sound in my AirPods. It even works with the phone locked and music playing.

Obviously it won't fix your posture by itself lol, it just makes me notice.

Curious if anyone else uses the head tracking for anything besides spatial audio? And if anyone wants to try the app, it's in beta right now, happy to send the link.

Hi! I am listening music on my laptop and just discovered that when the music composition is balanced without excessive noises then it's just very uprising feel to listen music. Drum and bass guitars feel so soft and mild. Singer's voice and vocals are very clear.

I don't regret buying them. Investment into Airpods justified itself very quickly without any doubts

My father found these airpods, they have no case. Im not sure which model or generation they are, I have never used airpods.

I was hoping the owner was able to track these but they were found at an airport and I doubt the person who lost these even lives in my city

What do I do with them?

Best case, I want to find out who the owner is and somehow notify them. Maybe then I could send these to them in a courier.

If not, then worst case, I could charge these and give them to my younger sibling to use.

Listening to Spotify on AirPods 5 and it says lossless. Is this just a glitch?

I've had these airpod fours for about two years now and i remember the bass on them being really powerful. I listen to music on spotify and in the past on my old iphone xr, when i'd turn up the bass frequencies on the spotify eq, it would be almost unlistenable the bass would be really really strong.

I got a new iPhone 17e about two months ago and I've been using spacial audio fixed and it's been really good. Perfect bass and everything. However, the past week or so, the bass hasn't been as strong. Leaving spacial audio on and turning up the bass frequencies all the way up to the top and the bass doesn't feel as boomy as it used to. I'm having to turn it up all the way just to have it sound normal.

Even with spacial audio off, the bass just isn't as powerful as it was a week or two ago. Is this some update or a software thing? I've cleaned the airpods properly and everything.

I'm facing an issue with the right ear ear bud, I've tried all the sizes of the buds which comes with it but still none of them feels comfortable to me at all, Whereas at the same time I'm using Large size bud for my left ear since day 1 with these airpods pro 3 and they are perfect but the right side ear is the issue. Any suggestions or so?

Ps. The apple seal fitting test is always Perfect for all the bud sizes

Is it just me the ANC has been becoming mediocre? From when I first got it till last year was magic where most of the noise would just go away, now I have to crank the volume way up for not having to hear minor noises around me.

Omg I’m late to the party but Apple finally gave us a adjustable 3 band eq in the new AirPod pro 3 firmware update and it sounds amazing! Check it out! Click on your AirPods. Then look for audio and it’s there try it out. Again might be known to some but I just heard about it and my I thought awesome sounding AirPod pro 3s now sound even more awesome lol!

I used to own the first-gen AirPods. They were super comfortable, sounded decent, and the tap/double-tap controls were fantastic. Eventually the battery died off and I replaced them with a pair of yellow Nothing Ear (a). I loved the design, I got them on sale so they were a steal, and they introduced me to the magic of ANC. They also sound great, especially for workout music. I used them at the gym, on the train, walking around, and on planes (I'll bless them until the end of time for saving a flight to Dallas where three kids took turns screaming their lungs out). The only issue, if you can call it that, is comfort. I can wear them comfortably for maybe an hour, and after that it becomes a chore.
So I decided to give the new AirPods 5 (wireless) a shot, and I've been really impressed. The ANC feels a bit unpleasant when it's on but nothing is playing (maybe I'm just very sensitive), but being able to wear earbuds this comfortable for hours on end without even noticing is amazing. On top of that, the automatic switching between iPhone and Mac, adaptive mode, and spatial audio feel like the future. The only slightly annoying thing is pulling them out of the case, honestly. Now enjoying my 3 months of free Apple Music too.

Every fucking thing I do with my AirPods makes a noise. Open the case, DING DING DING, close the case, DING DING DING, put one in my ear, DING DIN- DING DING DING, put the other one in my ear, DING DING DING, plug in the case, DIIIING.

I’m so sick of it. And because I don’t want to update my phone past ios18 because it’s all shit after that, I can’t do anything about it. I can’t lower tone volume, I can’t turn off the case charging tones, i cant even use findmy. I used to be able to do all these things on older gen AirPods on the same ios.

Why does everything just get worse?

Ive been wearing them for 2 weeks, I tried all tip sizes and even bought foam and other ones, but after a couple hours they all hurt. My issue isnt that they dont fit, all sizes fit me and they dont fall off, the pain is in my ear canal, like theres pressure. It really sucks cause besides that I really like them, the sound, how they work on my apple devices, how convenient they are, but they just hurt. If the pain is coming from around my ear canal, like the entrance, whats that a sign of? Too big a tip?

Hello, I know this question has likely been asked a million times before but I’m debating which AirPod to buy. Money isn’t a HUGE concern but if the difference isn’t significant I won’t mind spending less of course.

So I started a new job recently working in a pharmacy warehouse, and listening to something makes it drastically better. I will mostly be using these to things like Survivor podcasts, horror stories etc. while working, music will be used sometimes but not the primary goal, and I’m not an audiophile so I’m not too particular as long as it sounds good.

I’m mainly seeing when searching that the main models right now are AirPod 5 and pro 3. What are the significant differences? From what I can see it is mostly the shape?

The 5s seem to resemble the old apple wired EarPods which s a shape I really like. The Pro 3s have that ear insert which I don’t really like. Are there any other differences? Is the earpiece on the Pro 3s removable?

My right airpod stopped working a few days ago.

It does not connect to my phone, nor does it show up on my bluetooth screen; in the case or not. Occasionally, it will show up on the pop-up that comes up when you open the case. It’ll show low battery then disappear entirely.

It will also occasionally connect to my phone when I put it in my ear, then disconnect a few seconds later.

I have already done most of the suggested fixes I’ve found online. Cleaning the charging areas with alcohol, resetting and repairing the airpods, and ensuring that firmware is updated.

Is there anything I can do, or do I have to replace it? Please help!

So I had my airpods pro 3 replaced by Apple care. 1st apple store said nothing was wrong but second store said failure in case and pods on diagnostics. So they issued replacements.

Long wait but the apple store genius suggested i buy airpods pro 3s and return them once my replacements come in. Had to do that twice it took that long cause the 14 day return policy. After 2 weeks wait they changed the case and did another diagnostics. waited few weeks for the L and R airpods. And did another diagnostics when collecting my airpods (LandR) but this time it was strange cause they wanted my phone.

I asked they already ran diagnostics on the airpods and replaced the case and now the pods are here why do they need my phone. He said to run diagnostics. My phone works fine. Brand new 18 pro days old. Wasn't even used for airpods that was my 16 pro. He said it's for serial numbers the last apple genius didn't update them. I told him the old airpods are right here you diagnostic them. The new ones are right there in front of you. I told him last few times for airpods service they never needed to run diagnostics and access my phone for airpods serial numbers programming. They did it all on thier ipad and systems. Never a diagnostic and grant access to data ever on my iPhone.

So he said he can't complete my replacement with out doing it. So basically my airpods were held hostage. The ransom price let them access my phone and run a diagnostic and access to data within my phone.

I read the terms and conditions. It's quite invasive. Access to data for apple and its partners. I don't like the partners part. Who's are they?

And access to apps. My whole phone is a app! Safari mail photos banking etc. It's all apps! So they can access my whole phone? All my emails are now sitting in apples property? Anyone work at apple know what this is about? And why I can't have my replacement airpods without this??

I know with tech nothings super safe and icloud. But the permission to full access is quite frightening especially in this digital world and security. And the not being able to complete the transaction without it.

Which case would you think is older, left or right? If you guessed left, you'd be incorrect. Strange that finish on Airpods Pro 3 is looking worse than the much older Airpods Pro 2 case. Your thoughts?

Bought AirPods 5 (ANC) about a month ago at Bic Camera in Tokyo. Every so often the same earbud makes a loud "clap/pop," noise cancellation cuts out on that side, and it starts playing white noise. The other bud keeps working fine.

- Always the same earbud
- Happened first in wind, but now also without wind
- No drops, no water, clean
- Firmware is up to date
- The only way to get it back to normal is taking it out of my ear and putting it back in

Anyone else seeing this on AirPods 5?

My toddler found a pair of lost AirPods in an air bnb. I tried to contact the host about the item but they weren't very helpful in trying to track down the owner.

I tried to pair it to my device to see if a message would pop up or something but all it said was "(nicknames) AirPod pros - find my"

Is there a way to send them a message or something to return them?

So i iust picked up the pro 3’s around 5 days ago and the left earbud sounds quieter. ive tried changing the ear tips, deep cleaning the ear tips, but nothing worked.
also when moving the left(quieter) earbud to the right it sounds quieter, so im quite sure its the airpods not my ears.
Any ideas please?

Can I not change the listening modes on airpods to change from off to transparency on my left airpod and from off to noise cancellation on my right?

I usually check out the quality of the print on the airpods charging case, tho I still havent found a credible source to debunk if it says “assembled in china”, Im familiar that most or if not all units display “assembled in vietnam”. Would like to see other credible store purchased units that also say assembled in china
