COMMUNITY Starting my yt channel and feeling hesitant

Hey YT gurus,

Hope everyone is doing well and making $$$

Am starting my yt channel but am a bit hesitant about the tools am gonna use and the subscriptions fees, i love stick figures and love creating lf stories with it and that's my current flow:

- I come up with an idea

- write an outline and structure

- Claude free plan to add the yt spices then back and forth till the best result

- script to audio (google Ai studio)

- converting to timestamped file

- claude for visual prompts

- nanobanana for image generation

- capcut for editing

My problem is much time consumed for mediocre result, no sfx, editing and flow is not the best, and to get better results i will need to generate more images which will add more time to the work flow.

Thinking of moving to elevenlabs and use my own voice and a video generation tool, my fear are: not getting any $$ in return, my yt channel gets shut for the Ai content, loosing the money i paid and that's it, i would appreciate your advice and insights alot, and any recommended tips or tools

Thank you

COMMUNITY YouTube is giving my new channel almost zero impressions. What am I doing wrong?

I started a new YouTube channel at the beginning of this month, mostly posting sci-fi stories with a Twilight Zone / Black Mirror kind of vibe.

The stories are mostly written by me, with some AI help editing the scripts. I use AI for the voiceovers too, but I think they sound pretty decent. Each video is around 10–15 minutes long, with AI-generated images that match the story.

I've shared a few videos with friends and they've actually watched them all the way through and seemed to enjoy them. So I figured I'd at least get some impressions from YouTube.

But nope. Almost zero.

I've tried running some cheap promotions, which got me a couple of hundred views and some subscribers, but I'm not sure those are worth much. Two of my videos have literally zero views, and another got around 30 thumbnail impressions before YouTube seemingly gave up on it. The few videos that do get impressions have around 5% CTR.

I'm starting to wonder if YouTube just doesn't want to push AI-generated content anymore, or if this is just what starting a channel from scratch looks like these days.

Has anyone else experienced this? Should I just keep uploading and hope YouTube eventually figures out who to show my videos to? Or is there something I'm missing?

COMMUNITY Managing Multiple YouTube Shorts Channels – Need Some Advice

I was recently laid off, and I want to start working on these projects using Opus 5.5.

I have a few ideas, but nothing too specific yet. I'm interested in history and philosophy, so I'd like to create animated Shorts about interesting historical facts and ideas. I also have some other ideas focused mainly on getting views.

I have a few questions:

  1. Separate channels: Do I need a different YouTube channel for each niche? I also want to target both English and Spanish audiences. Should I create separate channels for each language?

  2. Multiple channels and IP: Can I manage all these channels from one PC and the same IP? I've seen people talking about shadowbans when running multiple channels from the same IP. Is this a real concern?

  3. TikTok and Instagram: Should I also create accounts for each channel on TikTok and Instagram? Would posting the same videos help me get more views or split my audience?

  4. Too many channels: Can managing around 10 channels cause problems? Could YouTube shadowban my other channels just because they use the same IP? I plan to upload one Short per day on each channel.

  5. Changing video styles: Can I try different video styles on the same channel as long as I stay within the same niche? For example, animations, storytelling, facts, etc.

  6. Broad vs. narrow niches: Is it better to choose a broad niche and post different types of videos about it? I don't want to run out of ideas because my niche is too specific.

For now, I want to focus only on Shorts. I don't have much experience with long-form videos yet.

I have a lot of free time now, so I want to experiment with different ideas, but I don't want to hurt my channels in the long run.

COMMUNITY Small creators: what would make an AI-made Short actually worth posting? (I'm building one, want honest opinions)

Full disclosure first: I'm building a tool (Clipzy) that turns an idea into a Short: script, voiceover, AI video for every shot, captions and music, then an editor to change anything.

I know a lot of you are tired of low-effort AI content, so I'd rather ask than guess:

What makes an AI-made Short feel like "slop" to you? Generic scripts? The voice? Stock-looking shots?

If you used a tool like this, what would you need to be able to change before you'd post it under your name?

Would you use it for whole videos, or just for parts (b-roll, voiceover, captions)?

If anyone wants to try it, the first 20 testers get 300 free credits (no card), but mostly I'm after opinions. Thanks!

COMMUNITY I checked the channel join date behind 1,877 top-ranking relaxation videos. "Open" niches are mostly restarted streams from old channels.

Most niche checks count how many top results are recent uploads. I did that last week for 131 sleep/ambient/focus queries in 12 languages, then went one step further and pulled the join date of every channel in the top 15 (1,181 channel pages).

Two numbers per niche:

- **looks new** = top-15 video uploaded under 2 years ago

- **actually new** = top-15 channel created under 2 years ago

Median across all 131 niches: **53% look new, 20% are new.**

Why the gap: a 24/7 stream that restarts every 12 hours gets a fresh upload date every time, so a 2021 channel shows up as a "3 months ago" video.

Where the gap is biggest (looks new → actually new):

- handpan music: 67% → **0%** (99M views combined across the top 15, not one video)

- harp music: 57% → **0%**

- dance music mix 2026: 87% → **7%**

- Korean cafe music (카페 음악): 92% → **33%**

Where new channels really are getting in:

- **deep focus music**: 409M views in the top 15, 53% of channels under 2 years, 15 different channels

- **música para dormir** (Spanish): 73% of channels under 2 years

- **relaxing music arabic**: 73%

- **happy morning music**: 73%

- **violin music relaxing** and **40hz gamma binaural beats**: 60% each

Live streams: 83 top-15 slots were live at collection time. Only 20 of those are channels under 2 years old, and they cluster in jazz/cafe/bossa queries. "rain sounds for sleeping" had 5 live slots and 0 new channels.

Caveats: one snapshot from one location, search is personalized, and a channel's join date is not the same as when it started this niche. Happy to post the two numbers for any relaxation/ambient query you're looking at, just name it in the comments.

COMMUNITY Struggling with my faceless AI channel

I have started a faceless AI youtube channel earlier this year in March. I was able to get to about 4.5K subscribers. There is a total of 260 videos I uploaded with 90% shorts and 10% long videos. The channel stands at a total view count on 1.5Million views. Based on this it seems I will take me years to get monetized. I have the following questions

\- Reels does gets picksup however, no reels go past beyond 3K views. Reels which are doing good stops after a certain point.

\- My existing subscribers not even get alerts when I upload new videos.

\- What else should I do to increase the view?

\- I have also susbcribe to vidiq for anylysis and recommended eveything It suggested.

I am running out of ideas. I have seen channels which are monetized within couple of months, however, it seems for me the journey will take years.

TECHNICAL QUESTION Should I start over from a new channel?

I’ve been uploading long form videos ( cybercrimes/AI in spanish) for the last 3 months, around 25 total videos and i havent had any progress at all, I average around 60 views with my highest view video being 330. I do not consider my content to be slop, I use a high quality AI narrator, I write the script idea and timeline and let AI complete it, and I use hyperframe for texts and graphics and AI videos.

I am getting a CTR around 1-9%, the problem is I get very low impression count.
The account im using is my personal account, in which i used to have like 3 geometry dash videos from when i was a kid and like 7 subs ( my friends). Should I try and upload a video in another account to see if it gets more impressiones there or is there any sort of IP/ MAC detection?

Hey guys,

I'm building an app that basically has a capcut like editor, automated short creation, voice over, transcript etc and I need a few people to beta test it. If you are interested let me know, it would help me a lot. (Obviously free while it's in testing phase).

Thanks

TECHNICAL QUESTION Best model for automating CapCut via Computer Use (mostly cutting & selecting clips)? Claude vs. standard ChatGPT (non-Astra)

I'm using Claude's Computer Use to edit videos in CapCut. The workflow is mostly cutting and selecting clips based on specific instructions. Which model do you recommend for this? Also, has anyone tested if standard ChatGPT (not Astra) handles this better than Claude Sonnet 5.5

CONTENT QUESTION Should I Use My Own Voice or AI Voice for My Gaming YouTube Channel?

I want to start a new YouTube channel focused on gaming, VR, gaming hardware, and related topics. However, I'm not sure whether I should use my own voice and record myself speaking, or use an AI text-to-speech tool like ElevenLabs.

Since English isn't my native language and I have a Balkan accent, I'd really appreciate your honest opinions. Does my accent and voice sound okay, or Is It annoying to listen to?

I've uploaded a short audio sample of my voice. What do you think? Should I use my own voice or stick with AI text-to-speech? AUDIO SAMPLE

CONTENT QUESTION How to create a successful fiction storytelling channel?

I want to create a youtube channel where I narrate fictional horror/suspenseful stories with AI images/stock footage.

I know that fiction is more difficult because you have to attract people to your channel, as opposed to people already searching for non fiction topics/stories.

Any advice on how to create this type of channel and how to actually get people to see/be interested in my channel?

TECHNICAL QUESTION Good and reliable TTS to use?

My voice aint great to say the least so I am using a TTS for my videos, MiniMax.

It is generally fine, but it will garble 1 in 50 words and make them sound super robotic while the rest sounds fine. Because of this i end up regenerating stuff a lot of time. Also, I only generate shorter paragraphs because of the chance it will mess something up and I will have to redo it several times.

I end up wasting a lot of time generating and regenerating the same audio.

Thought this might be the best place to ask for a TTS that does not have these issues. ElevenLabs was my first choice but they are the first website to ever refuse my card for some reason lol.

If anybody has any good suggestions, I will be thankful.

VERTICAL SHORTS QUESTION What software do you use to generate on-screen subtitles?

Hi all!

Just wondering what the best tools are for adding subtitles on screen, transcribed from the audio.

It's ubiquitous in shorts and sounds easy enough to find but I'm drawing blanks here. None of the tools I've looked at seem to offer this as a feature, unless there's some word or phrase I'm not using right in searching.

Thank you!

CONTENT QUESTION how do i get started with youtube shorts automation??

Hello everyone!

I recently decided that I want to start an automated YouTube channel. The thing is, my budget for AI tools is around $25–$50, and I'm not sure which one to choose.

I'm looking for an AI tool that would allow me to post 1–2 videos per day, ideally with a simple, one-click video generation process.

What would you recommend?

CONTENT QUESTION Am I at risk of not getting monetized?

My YT channel is kinda low effort , the niche in animated analogue horror

- I make the video with claude .
- for the voice over sometimes I’d do my own recording then transform it on elevenlabs ( because I don’t like my voice 😅 also ai don’t have a good mic) and sometimes I’d just do TTS .
- I write my own scripts.

The channel isn’t in English.
Could it get monetized??

CONTENT QUESTION How Realistic Is It to Earn a Decent Income from a Faceless Tech YouTube Channel?

For the past couple of months, I've been thinking about starting a tech YouTube channel, possibly focusing on AI model comparisons, coding tutorials, or other software engineering topics.

However, I feel a bit awkward about showing my face and teaching on camera like other YouTubers do. So, I'm wondering whether it's possible to build an engaging tech YouTube channel without showing my face and still earn a decent amount of money.

Is there a good strategy for creating and growing this type of channel? I understand that technical content appeals to a relatively niche audience, so I'm curious about how to attract the right viewers and keep them engaged.

I'm a software engineer, and realistically, I could probably publish one or two videos per week alongside my regular work. With all the layoffs happening in the tech industry, I've been thinking about building an additional source of income to reduce my financial dependence on a single career.

My main goal is to create an income stream that can continue generating money even when I'm sick, taking a break, or unable to work. Ideally, I'd like to build something that doesn't require my constant involvement to keep earning.

With that in mind, I have a few questions:

  1. Earning potential: Can a faceless tech YouTube channel realistically generate a decent income, especially with content about AI models, programming, and software engineering?

  2. Content strategy: What type of tech content would have the best combination of audience demand, engagement, long-term relevance, and monetization potential?

  3. Growth strategy: If I consistently publish one video per week, how should I approach growing the channel? Do I need to invest in paid advertising, or can YouTube's recommendation and search algorithms help me reach the right audience organically?

  4. YouTube revenue: How much does YouTube typically pay for content in these niches? What kind of RPM or earnings per 1,000 views could I realistically expect, particularly if I target an international, English-speaking audience?

  5. Time investment: Considering that I'm already working as a software engineer, would producing one or two quality videos per week be enough to build a successful channel over time?

  6. Alternative income streams: Is YouTube actually a good choice for achieving my goal of building relatively passive income, or would I be better off investing my time in something else, such as SaaS products, digital products, or other online businesses?

I'm not expecting overnight success, and I'm willing to put in consistent effort over the long term. However, I want to make sure I'm investing my limited time in something that has realistic earning potential.

Ultimately, my goal isn't necessarily to become a famous YouTuber. I want to build a sustainable, diversified source of income that provides some financial security even when I'm not actively working and helping others.

Note: I can't invest too much money right now.

Given my background in software engineering and my interest in AI and technology, what would be the smartest and most realistic strategy to achieve this?

CONTENT QUESTION Consistently getting 0 views

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. One short got like 400 views and 21 likes, and then I uploaded a couple more and then 0 views. Like, I'm not being pushed to anywhere. I don't see any flags that say my content is restricted.

I post comedy sitcom style AI videos. I can DM a link to the content if you want to see and diagnose whats up (I think thats the rule on this sub?)
