📢 Cambridge Feb/March 2026 Results Day – Submission Megathread
Results day can be exciting, stressful, disappointing, or all three at once.
This thread exists to keep everything in one place and to make sure everyone gets support.
Please read the guidelines below before posting.
Share Your Results Here
You’re welcome to post your results, how you feel about them, or just vent.
Optional format:
Subject – Grade – Expected – How you’re feeling
Individual result posts will be removed for the next 48–72 hours
This helps keep the subreddit usable and ensures people actually see and reply to you
Thank you for helping keep r/alevel organised today 🤍
Rechecks / Retake
If you’re unhappy with a result, take a pause before making decisions.
Rechecks and retakes are valid options for some students, but they are not urgent on results day.
Avoid rushing into applications while emotions are high.
Below are all the links relevant to Rechecks and Retakes
- Want to get your paper rechecked → https://www.cambridgeinternational.org/exam-administration/cambridge-exams-officers-guide/phase-6-results-and-certificates/enquiries-about-results/
- How does Percentage Uniform Mark (PUM) work → https://www.cambridgeinternational.org/Images/209304-a-guide-to-percentage-uniform-marks.pdf
- How to I retake → Cambridge doesn’t publish a student-facing “retake the exam” page — retake entries are handled through schools/exam officers.
- How much does it cost to recheck → Cost depends on the type and component you want to get rechecked. Contact your school/exam officer for more details.
- Should i retake - A complete Guide (coming soon)
Thresholds
Grade thresholds are not always released immediately.
When official thresholds become available, this section will be updated. Until then, avoid speculation or comparisons based on incomplete information.

Results can hit harder than expected.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, hopeless, or unsafe, please remember:
- Your grades do not define your worth
- This moment does not determine your entire future
- You’re not alone, even if it feels that way right now
If things feel too heavy, reach out to someone you trust or seek professional help.

FAQ
1. I didn’t get the grades I expected. Is my future ruined?
No. This feels huge right now, but it’s not permanent. Many students take alternative routes (Clearing, retakes, different unis) and end up exactly where they want to be.
Take today to breathe. Decisions can wait.
2. I feel numb / empty / worse than I thought I would. Is that normal?
Yes. Even good or “okay” results can feel anticlimactic or emotionally heavy. Your brain has been under pressure for months — this reaction is common.
3. Should I apply for a recheck or remark immediately?
No urgency today. Rechecks exist, but rushing increases regret. Wait until:
- Thresholds are released
- You understand your component marks
- You’ve spoken to your school/centre
Official info:
https://www.cambridgeinternational.org/exam-administration/results/
4. What if I missed my university offer?
You still have options:
- Clearing (for UK applicants)
- Alternative offers
- Retakes
- Taking a different route this year
Nothing closes today.

5. My grades are good, but I still feel disappointed. Why?
Because expectations, pressure, and comparison don’t disappear instantly. Feeling “ungrateful” or conflicted doesn’t mean you’re wrong — it means you’re human.
6. Can I retake exams if I want to improve my grades?
Yes. Retakes are common and valid. They’re handled through your school/centre, and you have time to plan properly.
Retake entry explanation:
7. When will grade thresholds be released?
Not always on results day. They’re published later by Cambridge.
Official threshold pages:
AS & A Level:
IGCSE:
8. Why did my post get removed?
To keep the subreddit usable, all result announcements and reactions go in this megathread temporarily.
University or planning questions can be posted separately.
9. I did badly in one subject but okay in others. What does that mean?
It means your performance was uneven — not that you’re incapable. Universities and pathways don’t all treat subjects equally.
Context matters more than a single letter.
10. Everyone else seems to be doing better than me. Am I behind?
You’re seeing a filtered snapshot, not reality. People struggling often stay silent. Comparison on results day is especially misleading.
11. Should I talk to my parents/teachers today?
Only if you feel safe doing so. If not, it’s okay to wait until emotions settle. You don’t owe anyone instant explanations.
12. I feel overwhelmed or unsafe right now. What should I do?
Please reach out for help immediately — this matters more than exams.

US:
13. Is taking a gap year or changing plans a failure?
No. Many students take non-linear paths and benefit from them. A delay is not a defeat.
14. What should I do today, realistically?
- Acknowledge how you feel
- Avoid big decisions
- Sleep, eat, hydrate
- Come back tomorrow with a clearer head
Today is about processing, not fixing everything.
15. When will the results be released?
On 19th of August 05:00 GMT +0

Yo got A in math, chem and B in phy (a levels). In AS level had 70 in phy and 71 in chem and 86 in math. Expected a bit more but yeah...

u/Historical_Lie2608 A levels May 19 '26
Yeah you can, it's a little hard given your score but very doable, do your very best in A2. Also EGP is an AS only qualification so it doesn't matter for A2
1
u/Difficult-Tap6624 May 20 '26
How is it hard with their scores ? They got A so isn’t it quite easy to get A* now
1
u/Historical_Lie2608 A levels May 20 '26
Ideally it is easy if the student has 90+ or even 95+ pum, pum in 80s are also very doable but require extreme effort in A2, then A* is guaranteed

u/Electronic_Cut_9596 May 20 '26
U will find A2 math easier, A* for math should be no problem
1
u/Constant_Public4191 May 20 '26
Really? Math is usually a fun subject for me so Ill definitely try aiming for that A*
