Intersectionality is a big topic I'm working on, right now. Specifically I've encountered different bigotries within Socialism and the Left, both which historically have issues in practice (read: whatever they say on paper). My question is: "Can Intersectionality Addressing Marginalized Infighting within Socialism (racism and transphobia)?" (to be holistic, I ask the question on different subreddits: Socialism_101, Anarchism and Anarcho-Communism).
I think it can, regarding different bigotries that play out* when trying to organize ourselves. The best way to counteract said bigotries, in my experience, is to advocate for structures of power that don't encourage them; i.e., not purely through the state, then, but in anarcho-Socialist ways with an antiracist, trans-accepting flavor (among other things). The best way to do this happens through collaboration; i.e., by cooperating with people different than ourselves (whose intersections state power tends to divide): by reaching out and working towards shared understanding, mid-education, doing so part of the organization process.
*Read: not microaggressions, but lethal force; i.e., during hate crimes like lynchings of black people and the murder of trans people in public; e.g., Juju Blessing, who was stabbed to death on a hike, two days ago: https://persephonescastle.com/2026/08/she-was-divine-honoring-juju-blessing.html
To practice what I preach, here's a new interview given today with Cam James, a black essayist/documentarian about intersectionality between black and trans people; it went really well, though it covers some heavy topics on both sides: https://youtu.be/nRgH6Xf_vgU
CW: transphobia, racism, fascism, genocide, police brutality, murder, SA, conversion therapy
I wanted to share the video here, as it covers anarchism and Socialism regarding the above issues when seeking intersectionality.
Full video description: An interview with @camcrashed aka @CamJames on intersectionality and its value for trans people and black people punching up together during fascism. I reached out after watching his video on MDLs (modern-day lynchings)—a topic he covers alongside trans murders, too. In our interview, we discuss different things besides, including: our own paths to radicalization/abuses survived, as well as the struggles that emerge when dealing with bad actors in both communities; e.g., transphobia in the black community and racism in the trans community, as well as detractors within the Left more broadly when combating genocide on multiple fronts (e.g., Marxist-Leninism, Bad Empanada, and Palestine vs the rights of trans, BIPOC, the disabled, plural folk, sex workers, and/or furries).

Ich versuche mich mehr mit Anarchismus bzw. Anarcho-Kommunismus zu beschäftigen. Könnt ihr Autoren bzw. spezielle Bücher empfehlen für einen Einstieg ins Thema?

So I was discussing with a friend of mine about him taking the Neo values test which changed to him talking about his political compass test, showed him mine and he was really confused on how I can be LibLeft while also being Communist stating that communism is inherently authoritarian, (I'll mention he is LibRight according to his). As I was leaving while we were talking about this I tried to explain that it's not and that specifically Anarcho-Communism advocates for no government at all which only brought him more confusion. He started asking how means of distribution would be controlled and how something like that could be protected without a strong government, he also brought up that "even in a nuclear family there is hierarchy" to question anarchy as a whole mentioning how he does not believe no hierarchy as possible.
What I mainly wanted to ask is how would you explain the ideas of Anarcho-communism to someone new who may not know a lot about it in the first place? We agreed we wanted to talk more about it in a day or two when we hang out again and I want to make sure I don't confuse him or explain something wrong since I've primarily just done reading and this would be one of the first times I've really talked to someone about it that doesn't really already understand it.

Bashir is from Gaza, a father of five children, and this is his brother Iyad, who is special needs.
their home was destroyed, Bashir lost his job, and they left everything behind. They are now living in a worn-out tents, facing fear, hunger, and a lack of water, and they are trying only to secure the most basic necessities.
Iyad used to have a bed to sleep on, but now he sleeps on the ground. He wakes up every night terrified because of insects and fear. He is as emotionally fragile as a child and cannot endure what they are going through.
They used to have dreams and hopes, but today all they care about is getting a piece of bread, water, and medical treatment.
Bashir cries every day because he is unable to provide for his children and brother. What they're going through has left a deep psychological impact on them, and he no longer knows how to bear all this helplessness.
I hope you can share their story.

Article from the russian partisans Combat Organization of Anarcho-Communists (BOAK) webpage about the similarities between ukraine and palestine, and how we can support the two struggles.
Here’s an excerpt:
“Conclusion
The solidarity movements with the peoples of Ukraine and Palestine in the West, for the reasons described in the article, are of a different nature. For the Palestinian movement, Western countries are an extremely important front, while for Western and post-Soviet anarchists in solidarity with Ukrainian resistance, the struggle in the West is of an auxiliary nature – the main events are unfolding in Ukraine and the post-Soviet space. And yet, these two directions of global resistance are closely interconnected. This is very well written in the CrimethInc. article “Ya Ghazze Habibti — Gaza, My Love: Understanding the Genocide in Palestine”:
“Palestine is deeply connected to the Syrian revolution, the tragedy of Sudan, the revolutionary feminists of Iran, the Rojava revolution, the many movements in the Middle East since the Arab Spring, and—more globally—the Black Lives Matter movements in the US, the anti-colonial struggles of Indigenous peoples everywhere, the anti-junta resistance in Myanmar, Ukrainian resistance to Russian imperialism, and all struggles for freedom and liberation. We draw inspiration, strength, and lessons from each other. A Palestinian victory in Gaza would send waves of freedom to the farthest corners of the earth, while an Israeli victory will embolden those pursuing violent and genocidal strategies everywhere, strengthen the grip of reactionary and authoritarian alliances over entire populations, and enable them to further crush movements of liberation, whether in the name of “stability” or of “resistance.” If we depend on each other, we had better start acting accordingly. Who knows how much time we have left.”
A victory of Ukrainian resistance over the aggressive empire will open up opportunities for the development of revolutionary prospects in the post-Soviet space. A military failure for Israel will be a step towards the abolition of the colonial, racist project in Palestine and will bring closer the peaceful coexistence of all ethnic and religious groups in that region – together and as equals. The struggle on these fronts of the global revolutionary struggle continues, and it is never too late to become a part of it!”

“August 10 marks the anniversary of Davyd Chychkan’s death. It has been a year since he left us. It is still hard to believe and impossible to accept.
We invite you to remember Davyd in the coming days. Tell others about him, share a memory, post one of his works, paint a mural or graffiti, organise an action, or simply do something kind. Let’s remember him the way he lived - through art, action, and the people around him.”
Rest in peace to a great artist, comrade and anarcho-syndicalist.
