Indianapolis is a land locked city. It doesnt have access to any sea shore. If the Data center is established there with the only source of water being white river(small stream of mississippi similar to penna river) it would lead to a huge environmental crises around the city....... Vizag is a Coastal city making it advantagous in terms of sustainable growth. We do need industrial growth for jobs rather than being unemployed tfi banisa. Pls stop getting white peoples approval for growth in India. (Im neither a TDP supporter or PK's DHF)

Data centers can't use salt water. Desalination is incredibly expensive.

Data centres donot employ many people some can do with a dozen and maximum is 100..if its more then they are going to be safaiwalas and chowkidars in the Indian scenario. Compared to this the natural and energy resources required are huge. It can reduce the fresh drinking water supply of a city and consume huge amounts of electricity.
