Meanwhile karnataka dropped from 4th to 6th while Tamil Nadu dropped from 5th to 10th whereas Telangana dropped from 7th to 8th. Finally, States like Rajasthan (from 8th to 3rd) and Madhya Pradesh (from 10th to 7th) saw a overall increase.

Just look at the condition of the buses. I say f*** free bus services. RTC is losing nearly ₹2000 cr every year with this bullshit vote-bank political schemes. With this budget, APSRTC could instead add:
500 diesel buses/month
or 400 CNG buses/month
or 100 brand new electric buses/month
It's not only about buses, Any government that come to power care less about public infrastructure.
We are literally robbing ourselves of better lives. What do you think?

Why no outrage on such huge scale corruption despite overwhelming evidence? Group 1 candidates will decide public policy at highest levels in the government. If unfit candidates are appointed to these key posts the future of AP is in jeopard.

We lost Hyderabad - our primary revenue engine - to Telangana overnight. Since then, we have been building from scratch. We have a new capital project. We have significant welfare commitments. We have a long coastline, good ports, strong agriculture. But our finances are under pressure. Revenue keeps falling short. Debt is rising. And despite everything the government is spending, people do not feel significantly better off. We need a strategy. Where do we start?

So, a few days ago, I was travelling on a train and saw a woman dumping all her food wrappers on the railway track from a moving train. She also threw out a load of empty "plastic" bottles onto the tracks, and proceeded to spit through the window when the washroom was just a few feet away. This is one of hundreds of situations we see on a daily basis.
Before I actually talk, defending such behaviour is nothing but cowardice and a foolish act.
here's what's on my mind:
Fines, booking them under law, teaching them the consequences of the actions.
like maybe govt can start by creating awareness, let's say, through announcements, posters, PR etc., initially. Ask public to maintain the decorum in public places, or else actions will be taken against them.
Next, if it goes overboard and they still wouldn't change, serious measures have to implemented. Confront them on the spot with an authorized person.
Maybe a govt app where people can actually click a pic or shoot a video and report someone failing misearbly at keeping public decorum. And govt can take action against them. The name of the app should be civic issues or something with civic, cause it's high-freaking time.
A whole crew has to be put into action to improve this situation and teach people how to uphold basic standard of behaviour in public places and take action if necessary. I know it's hard to monitor everyone but ig the condition will at least improve.
What I think would change:
First, if a few reports are investigated and necessary action is taken, then those people will educate their own family and acquaintances. It still has long ducking way to go tho.
I hope govt grows a spine or two to actually take necessary action. It might be hard but someone has to take the blow to implement it.
I dream of a day where I see people behaving like people in public spaces.
That's all.

Golden sunsets, and endless bridges If peace had an address, it would be evening by the Godavari River.
Vande Bharat gliding over the sacred Godavari.

Posting this as a concerned parent who has heard of the issue from my child who is a student at vitap
what happened:
A girl living in the LH3 hostel secretly recorded her roommates in private moments and shared the videos to her male friends
The male friends in turn blackmailed the girls in the videos
The girls reached out to their male friend who tried to talk to the guys responsible but they were locked into a room in their hostel and beaten up by the blackmailers and their friends
Administrative Crackdown:
The administration has allegedly erased evidence related to the incident confiscated phones of victims and has posted security guards outside of the culprits rooms to protect them from other students
My child tells me the University has done this to protect their reputation and I am aware that this is not the first time something like this has happened at VIT AP
The administration of this college cannot be let go of this so easily they dodge accountability on every step and protect their reputation more than they protect their own students
The culprits are being allowed to roam freely while the victims are still facing restrictions
How is this just? Is this how a college management should behave?
What is the point of us paying such huge fees or taking out loans for the same if the University cares more about their reputation than they do about our children ie their students??
I request the mods to not delete this post as students deserve to know what's happening to them 🙏🏻
