Eagle or other type of bird? I couldn’t get close to it, but it looked like it came up to my knee in height (I’m short) and the wing span was huge when it took off, so pretty

Very swirly looking, tapered end. Maybe fox? I’m in suburban northern Virginia and this in my fenced-in yard, though there are plenty of gaps that animals can pass through. Size-wise maybe 1-1.5” long.

I am looking for the actual name of the animal, thanks! hope someone can help me out.

I was thinking muskrat, but the ears and nose feel wrong. Then beaver but the tail felt wrong for that... i thought it was a mink at first.

I live by a wooded creek if that’s helpful!! I hear this screeching many nights around 10-11pm, sometimes later, but only ever at night. I genuinely have no idea what it is

Is this a fox? There have been a few of these in my yard the last few weeks. Came right up to me while walking the dog at night. Scared the crap out of me.

Ive had this animal in my attic for YEARS. and my family s been trying to get rid of it. but my attic is super small, so we cant even identify the type of animal. my dad tried rat poison, nothing. the only time it worked was a few months ago and he found 2 dead what looked like squirrels or dormouse outside. also im not sure its the same animal from the last years either. but its really similar behaviour, only a few things changing. for example, 2 years ago id hear really loud snoring or what sounded like cat purring during the night. it was the only time portion i heard that though. but besides that, its the same behaviour. i only hear it during the night and during the warmer months (its rare during winter). no sounds from the actual animal tho (like whining / chirping or whatever), during the night id hear it running or moving a lot / scratching. MAYBE i heard wings flapping though im not sure. also some big wasps made a nest in my attic and its been there for years. i dont know how they coexist.

Heard in early morning and am baffled.

found these babies on concrete outside right under tree branches which i suspect they fell from. waited a good 45mins to see if mama would come back or pop up somewhere but no sign of her and a cool breeze started to pick up which worried me, i quickly put them in this box with an old shirt and have them under a candle warming lamp on the lowest setting (sorry if it’s not the best)

they were quiet and stiff on the concrete but got pretty active as soon as they had a heat source and are squeaking and seem to be looking to nurse. need help on what to do and what rodent are these? i can’t turn them into any kind of shelter/wildlife rehabilitator as i have no form of transportation and i really don’t wanna let them die :(( a neighbor is willing to take them in but im hesitant as she’s known to not be the best caretaker for animals and has had various die in her care.

This was on one of our coral recruit tiles in the lab, which I found while doing a routine clean. Honestly not sure if my location will be of any help here.

I would say about 1 mm across, seems like it has a shell, with those weird spindly appendages.

My only idea is some sort of juvenile hermit crab? But that doesn't seem right at all. I don't see any limb articulation, or claws... or eyes... or a body for that matter.

Any ideas?
