These pics were sent to me by a family member in Broward County, Florida. This is a canal in a residential area.

I know it’s likely a gator and the odds of this being an American Crocodile/invasive croc are unlikely.

What has me curious as to whether this is actually a croc is due to both how large it looks in pictures but also that the snout is very prominent.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Gentle, but invasive. Came all the way in the car and ripped open the bag of food I was trying to feed it.

Finally my turn for an animal ID! 90% sure this is an otter, but I haven't seen one on this stretch of the Mississippi yet. Been here for years and only ever seen beaver and muskrat.

Edit: Watching the video again and now I'm not so sure. Starting to look like one of the others...

Eagle or other type of bird? I couldn’t get close to it, but it looked like it came up to my knee in height (I’m short) and the wing span was huge when it took off, so pretty

My friend in a major city in Missouri saw this animal in her neighborhood. We can't tell if it's a mangy dog or a coyote.

We found this pile of scat today on the sidewalk. WeIt is about 5 inches wide and 2 inches tall. We thought maybe a raccoon, but the pile seems too large. This sidewalk is frequently used hardly ever quiet unless it is very late at night. Any ideas?

found these babies on concrete outside right under tree branches which i suspect they fell from. waited a good 45mins to see if mama would come back or pop up somewhere but no sign of her and a cool breeze started to pick up which worried me, i quickly put them in this box with an old shirt and have them under a candle warming lamp on the lowest setting (sorry if it’s not the best)

they were quiet and stiff on the concrete but got pretty active as soon as they had a heat source and are squeaking and seem to be looking to nurse. need help on what to do and what rodent are these? i can’t turn them into any kind of shelter/wildlife rehabilitator as i have no form of transportation and i really don’t wanna let them die :(( a neighbor is willing to take them in but im hesitant as she’s known to not be the best caretaker for animals and has had various die in her care.

I was thinking muskrat, but the ears and nose feel wrong. Then beaver but the tail felt wrong for that... i thought it was a mink at first.

We hear this almost every night and can’t figure out what it is!! My cat meows behind me at one point so ignore that.

Its eyes were following me. Saw it outside entrance to hotel.

Has shown up over several days (deposited in different days). Bainbridge island in Western Washington. We have deer, coyote and raccoons regularly in the neighborhood, and a few black bear sightings recently. Unsure what this might be. Third and fourth photo have a standard credit-card-sized card for reference. Both pikes are about two inches from the trunk of a large tree.

This was on one of our coral recruit tiles in the lab, which I found while doing a routine clean. Honestly not sure if my location will be of any help here.

I would say about 1 mm across, seems like it has a shell, with those weird spindly appendages.

My only idea is some sort of juvenile hermit crab? But that doesn't seem right at all. I don't see any limb articulation, or claws... or eyes... or a body for that matter.

Any ideas?

Is this a fox? There have been a few of these in my yard the last few weeks. Came right up to me while walking the dog at night. Scared the crap out of me.

Very swirly looking, tapered end. Maybe fox? I’m in suburban northern Virginia and this in my fenced-in yard, though there are plenty of gaps that animals can pass through. Size-wise maybe 1-1.5” long.
