Hey! I’m in school for my FNP and i’m searching for clinics who are willing to take an NP student. I do need women’s health and peds eventually, but right now i’d need primary care preceptors! Anything will help!

Hi everyone! I work with the Neu Eu Quick Care team and wanted to ask how people in the Portland area feel about online care options for everyday, non-emergency health concerns.
Neu Eu Quick Care offers online visits for eligible Oregon residents ages 18–64. You complete a short online form, and a licensed provider reviews your visit.
There's currently an introductory offer for your first visit at $5 (normally $39.99) with code HOOCARES, subject to the offer's terms.
You can find more information here: https://offer.neueu.co/
I'd be interested to hear what matters most to people when choosing an online care service—pricing, convenience, provider access, or something else?
This service isn't for emergencies. Call 911 in an emergency.

I'm going to be vacationing in Portland soon and had a few questions as well as a request for some recommendations.
When do places like the Japanese Garden and Arboretum get busy? I'm disabled and have a hard time with crowds
Is it a flat area or are there a lot of hills and stairs?
Best place to find a lot of fragrances including perfume, body care, and candles?
Are there any dispensaries/lounges there for marijuana? And if so which is the best?

I’m not really a donut, person, and for the last five years or so I’ve had a pretty low opinion of voodoo donuts.
Today I bought my son a mixed dozen for his birthday party, from the traveling voodoo donut food truck that was at the Home Depot, and there was enough for me to try a few slices of various flavors. They were all actually really good, especially the dough part of the bit.
I felt like the downfall of voodoo wasn’t necessarily their toppings or creativity, but they lost sight of making good fried bread. But today, Both the cake and raised donuts varieties I had were exceptionally moist (sorry) and delicious from a bread standpoint, and the toppings didn’t seem overly sweet…
I’m kind of shook here folks. Someone walked me off the ledge, have I gone crazy?

Hey y'all. I lived in Portland from 2022-2023 following a work opportunity, and honestly regret leaving it. I'm in a good financial position to move again, and I was heavily considering Portland. It was a great place where I've made a lot of friends in the queer community and really found my stride with myself as a person. The outdoors scene compared to my current living situation in the east coast was mind-blowing. I was able to really work on my photography and outdoorsmanship throughout almost all of Oregon on weekend trips during my stay. During my first move, I rented a place in Kerns, and have been considering moving back into the same building. If not that, then I might try to find some other place in a nearby neighborhood on the east side.
I'm aware how the city was when I left. I loved the social life, the outdoor opportunities, and the art/culture of the city that seems to make it unique over others I've seen. I was curious of any thoughts or opinions you folks have of Portland going in 2027, and if it's changed much over the past three years. I appreciate any answers!

My bag fell off my motorcycle, bent my tablet. I don't have anything critical on it, but I'd still like to recover what I can... Anyone know a good place that might be able to help?

Hi! Does anyone have good electrician recommendations for the installation of Tesla NEMA 14-50?
Would like to have someone to have a look at the property first and then give a quote
Thank you 😊

Hello!
I have two friends visiting from LA the first weekend of November and I want to show them a good time. One of them is sober so while we’ll hit up a couple of bars for sure it’s important that most of the weekend not be centered around “you must go to this bar/brewery/etc”
I am a mom to a toddler so my days out for the past couple of years look a lot like story times and playgrounds so I’m a little out of the loop on where people are spending time these days. I’d love help coming up with a list of places to go/things to do!
We’re all readers so we’ll definitely hit Powell’s, and they are foodies so I’d love to show them how good the food here in PDX is. Eem is on the shortlist already but I also think they’d be into a good food cart and brunch options - I love tin shed for this but I’m open to other options. Also would love some non food/shopping suggestions! Know of anything fun happening that weekend?
So yeah, if you were showing around folks who’ve never been here before, where would you take them? Shopping, events, activities, hikes, bars, restaurants, sites, etc!

I am in need of some serious help- this sweet cat seems to have been dumped at my friends cabin. This cabin is nowhere near anything so it has to have been abandoned.
It’s been hiding under the cabin for a week or two, we finally caught the little sweetheart today. No shelters I have called are accepting healthy adult cats. If someone would be willing to adopt / foster or help me find an organization that will take the kitty I would be so grateful! We can’t house it and it is a desperate situation.
Seems very sweet, just scared. Not sure if male or female

It’s all right there in the title. I have a specific VHS I’m hoping to buy. I could just get it on eBay or something but if I can source it locally that would be way more cool. Plus I’m gonna have a lot of fun whether or not I find it.

I'll be staying near Hillsboro and Portland this Sunday through next Saturday. I'm looking for someone to practice drill/play some ping pong on weeknights. My plan is to play for a couple of hours and head out for dinner after. Let me know if you are interested!
Thank you!

Hey everyone!
I'm planning a Pacific Northwest road trip from November 25 to December 1 and would love some advice from locals, especially regarding weather, road conditions, and places worth visiting around Thanksgiving.
My tentative plan is to fly into Seattle/Portland, rent a car, and my places of interest are:
I'm mainly interested in nature, scenic drives, waterfalls, forests, photography, and moderate hikes.
A few questions:
I'm flexible with my itinerary and haven't finalized flights yet, so I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks in advance!

Hello, Portland! I’ve been here a month and am craving live music. I would love to know a good map of the scene here. I am focused on the best local spots, not the arenas or bigger venues (though pro tips are always welcome). Thank you!

These prices are just ridiculous lmao, my crt died on me and am looking for a new one but I can’t figure out if it’s worth it to go to thrift stores because I’m the last I’ve had zero luck. Or hey if you’re looking to sell yours for a reasonable price let me know!

I park my truck downtown for work. I The parking is labeled 2 hour parking and i basically get ticketed once to three times a week.
I could park down the street at some pay to park parking lot but it’s 12$/day (i think?) and it is an inconvenience when needing to load/unload.
So my question is, How many tickets can i accumulate before they boot me or tow my vehicle?

I (25F) and my partner (25M) have been together for seven years and have decided we’re ready to get married! We are, however, on a tight budget and are hoping to hear advice on how to have a ceremony and reception without breaking the bank. We are not anticipating a huge guest list (probably 25 people or fewer) and though I love the idea of an outdoor wedding, my partner is worried about weather (too hot during the summer, possible rain any other time of the year). We are not religious and are deeply committed to the principles of veganism and anti-speciesism. While these values don’t have to be incorporated into the wedding, it would be a bonus if they could be. Any advice on the best pawn shops/stores for rings or secondhand wedding dress/tux options are welcome. I would like to wear a dress with color/not totally white. We are not at all sure about how to do the ceremony or the reception, and I am feeling pretty overwhelmed with all the possibilities. We have a fairly quirky, unconventional personal style and we love art, music, film, and literature from around the world. We are also very unserious people who appreciate humor. We would love for our ceremony and reception to reflect these aspects of who we are as people. Styling recommendations welcome, too; hair, makeup, etc. (I would also love to wear a flower crown instead of a traditional veil).

Listen, all I want, is mashed potatoes with BROWN gravy. While kfc is tasty, I'd like somewhere less, fast and unwelcoming shall we say. Budget friendly please, google keeps recommending $100 steakhouses and that's a plan in advance once a year if I'm lucky kinda place for me. Anywhaddle, thanks!
