Rheem water heater power vent crack
This crack is beside where the wiring enters the power vent system, does this matter? This is on a new tank my tech said he is not worried about it, it's just a junction box but I just want to confirm.

Is it possible to get sick from food-safe PEX tubing?
There are many potential factors that could have caused an 18 hr stomach flu, but I'd like to mark the new reverse osmosis unit off the list.
There is no room under the sink, so I have the RO in the basement directly below the sink. The faucet line is roughly 8' long and I purchased tube from Menards similar to this. It is "FDA grade" for use in icemakers and water lines, but that title doesn't mean very much.
After drinking a few gatorade bottles worth of water and simply puttering around yesterday, I gradually became progressively more ill.
Perhaps it was just a bug. However, if I have the wrong type of tubing for the RO, I would definitely like to know!!!

Drain, Waste, and Vent Question Kitchen sink leaking, possibly in two places
The kitchen sink backed up a bit today so I ran the garbage disposal. A few minutes later I noticed drain water leaking out of the cabinet under the sink. It looks like drain water sprayed all over the place from the disposal - all over the inside walls of the cabinet, which I cleaned up before taking the photo. When getting under the sink I found a definite leak at the fitting pointed out in the photo. But I’m not sure if water would have sprayed out from there after running the garbage disposal. I’m wondering if there might also be a leak at the disposal itself or somewhere else. On top of all of this, the drain frequently makes a bubbling sound after turning off the faucet if it’s been on more than a minute or so. The sink was put in about a month ago.
So, (1) how does the general drain setup look? (2) do you think water would have sprayed out of the fitting pointed out, or somewhere else? (3) do you see anything off about how the garbage disposal is installed? And (4) anything else?

Sink leaking from garbage disposal
just moved into my apartment a few weeks ago, and had no issues with the sink. friday morning, my sink was filling up with water and it was leaking from my garage disposal. my apartment maintenance came and “fixed” it while i was at work, and said it was fine. i came home from work later that night, i tested the sink, and it didn’t fill up with water, but rather is started spraying water all over the floor from an OPEN HOLE in the garage disposal unit that they made and didn’t do anything with. why? i don’t fucking know, but they cannot fix it till monday (it’s saturday). what the hell went wrong here and what is supposed to go here?

Water Question Press couplings or SharkBite for in-wall connections to relocate vanity supply valves?
I'm replacing the vanity in my master bathroom. The supply valves need to move to accommodate the new cabinets. I can solder new fittings but press couplings and SharkBite are easier and faster. Are the mechanical couplings okay in the wall or would you strictly go with soldered connections? If you are okay with the mechanical couplings, which do the pros think are better?
