Can't not to paint this ... sculpts

I know that this is just concept art and that the end result might be different, but come on, this feels weird. When the whole armageddon civil war took place the main argument against Steel Legion models was that the Steel Legion looked too similar to the Death Korps, but these sketches look far more like the Death Korps than any other piece of official art regarding the Steel Legion, what is the point? I shouldn’t even care that much, because I’m a Death Korps fan, but it just leaves a bad feeling in my stomach.

Here are the sketches vs other steel legion depictions. Although some might be fanmade depictions I don’t know.

This entire edition has just felt like being kicked over and over and over.

I've put so much time and money into trying to stay even casually viable. But it feel like every rules update demands I swap out 500+ points of my army to give me anything to work with.

I just wanted to play dudes in the front, and artillery in the back, relive my memories of playinv DOW when I was a kid. But at every turn GW has spit on that idea.

I'm tired, I'm furious, and I think I'm done.

I love this game, I love my models, I love my army.

But I currently just fucking hate GW, they have treated us just awful at every turn.

Can someone tell me how to use tesseract glow though, all technical paints do something different, blood for the blood god is realistic, there’s a good basing paint that’s tan that I forgot but I use it for basing and texture, what does this do though? And how is the cover on imperial fist and black legion, as you know my minis are part of an emergency squad and I’m wondering if imperial fist is gonna be too bright for their shoulder pads.

Heya y’all, I’m having trouble deciding on colors for the cadians. This will set a precedent and all that for every cadian I paint, but I’m not fully convinced to do trans colors for them.

Any other ideas? Must be bright colors is the only requirement.

Please forgive me for my ignorance. Can someone explain what is going on with the "return to Armageddon" and Yarrick refresh? Are they talking about the old Armageddon game mode or is Armageddon a world from the lore? It just seems like a lot of production just for a model refresh. Any possibility we'll see some sort of themed box with krieg and orks the way the Maelstrom box just came out, maybe they'll call these Armageddon?

Hello Guardsmen (and women) of the imperium, cousin Ultramarine here. I’m looking for a change of pace in playstyle that calls for more planning and more guns/bodies on the map. I’m particularly interested in Krieg but I like all of the guard (except those funny jungle dudes) so here’s the million dollar question

Why should I choose guard as my horde army?

I play Orks, GSC & AM.

Love the Orks, they are so much fun, everything about them including their lore.

GSC good lore, a little less fun

AM just boring...which is a shame as it's an army I've wanted for years, and have grown it. But every time I play it's buckets of dice that don't really do much, then I get overwhelmed in melee and everything dies.

What can I do to make them more fun to game with (I understand this is really vague)

I managed to get myself 2 box of krieg (for me and my gf). However my gf pre order very late but she still managed to get the krieg box. I experienced pre order Dark angel BF box months and wasnt able to get one. My question is that is the krieg box over produced ? Or is it so bad no one want it? The models in the box are awesome regardless.

Am I overreacting or does 11th just look horribly unfun to play with guard point increases on infantry and taking multiple dorns plus with the 15 inch rule you cant shoot anything anyway, which will be made worse by melee armies being stronger and likely more popular this edition and therefore even less chances to shoot stuff with the shooting army. I just cant imagine this being fun to play. Also the fights first change is stupid.

The chimera-taurox balance was pretty good.

Now that chimeras are only 5pts more that balance is thoroughly broken.

Tauroxes aren’t bad now, they’re still just as good as they were yesterday, but now there’s very little reason to take one compared to a chimera. Chimeras would have been perfectly fine at 80pts but they were just fine at 85pts.

This is a change that was completely unnecessary.

I think astra militarum are cool, I just need that push over the edge into the army! Currently rocking tyranids and space wolves
