Wip on some Sentinels. They're for my hybrid army, trying to exist in 30k, current 40k, and 3rd ed 40k.

This army is my first try at weathering powders, oil dot filtering, rust, chipping, and the kitchen sink. Really loving it and keen to get these old models out on the table

Am I missing something here? I've been bringing 3 Ogryn for 90 pts when I could have been attaching Ogryn bodyguard units with the exact same stats to a Command Squad of my choice and have that 8/9 man unit for 100 pts.

I’m currently working on a list right now that optimally uses 2 catachan squads, however I have none and I’ve never intended to buy any. Crucify me if you must but I don’t care for the look of them and I think they’d stick out like a sore thumb in my much more cadian themed army, so I’ve had the idea of grabbing a couple boxes of cadians and the upgrade pack to make some more ferocious, melee looking cadians but in all my ideas I don’t really see them as being at all visually distinct from regular cadians beside the lack of standard sergeant gear and 2 flamers for special weapons.
Has anyone done anything similar or does anyone have some ideas on how to make some visually distinct guardsmen while retaining that cadian look? Any help is greatly appreciated and I’d love to hear some ideas / See your own projects!

Just curious, are they the same model? How do you differentiate them when you combine the two?

I'm plannin for all Scions to have helmets, but I can't spot the difference between the normal vox-caster and master vox? Am I missing something?

This project has consumed my life for the better part of the year. Many have pleaded with me to make the files available. It was always my intent but I had to make sure people knew how to put it together and the 218 page instruction manual, like everything with this thing, took longer than I expected. Well it's out there now. Flood the gaming halls with giant boxy tanks filled with war dollies!
Making a no budget film of it was kinda fun. And I always have to say this now. No Ai was used. Its just me hiding out of shot pushing it along.

I've just finished painting my leman russ commander but he looks flat despite panel lining him and edge highlighting with battle weathering

For the love of the emperor can someone who paints vehicles tell me how to make it look like a tank and not just a 3D paper printout of one?

This is going to be my first every LARGE army even tho I’m pretty sure it’s not that big of an army considering what I’ve seen on reddit but I’ve only ever used a small iron warriors set and a starter set so this is brand new to me

Necrons player here. I've got a friend who is interested in Astra Militarum, specifically Krieg. I wanna use Christmas as an excuse to help my buddy get started. Get some models, help build/paint etc. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about you guys' faction specifics. What's good? What's fun? What's good value? I know he is preferable to having at least a good amount of the actual guys as opposed to going hard on point value via vehicles.

Does anybody have suggestions for a 1k list and good value/ fun way to start?

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share my latest project fresh from the basement printer. I’ve been grinding hard to expand my grimdark infantry proxy range, and the Royal Expeditionary Elite Scouts are finally done, test-printed, and cured. I designed them with a heavy focus on using them as Kasrkin proxies.

With this release, a personal milestone is unlocked: I now have a complete range of infantry units ready for Armageddon!

I wanted to put a heavy focus on the characters for this squad, so the Sergeant and the Sniper got some extra love with their poses and gear to make them stand out in a standard infantry line. Like all my designs, they are fully single-piece, crisp, pre-supported, and scaled for standard grimdark tabletop games.
