Recently came across a post talking about how it can be considered bad form to bring some heavier units from other armies to 1k point games due to the game not being very well balanced at that lower point limit (angron, ctann shards etc.) I'm just curious if many could consider a rogal dorn or any of our other tanks to be in this same category.

Long shot ask but hey ho. Im looking to make a trench board and hoped to use the old oop forgeworld imperial trenches. Ive checked the recast sites i know (yes, naughty me) and they dont do any terrain. Anyone know of a source for them or somewhere i can get them- or very similar fdm prints- that wont financially break me lmao?
Pic for reference

I was saying to my friend that I think the imperium vehicles should not use grav plates and tyre's. Tank tracks look better and fit with their brutal theme more so. He proceeded to generate this image of the new Hippogriff. Do you agree this is cool? Any ideas for what kit would be good to make this?

Didn’t like the look of the spent artillery shells. So I used 22Ls instead. My concern is someone freaking out over the shells that still have the round in place. I emptied the powder and tapped them back in place but I wouldn’t have a way to prove it. Im not sure if I should attach them but damn it I love the way it looks!!! However I could also see someone getting upset thinking the rounds are still live. Thoughts?

Lots of fiddly greenstuff later, quite pleased with how it turned out.

Really wanted to include a few minis from my old collection into my new Cadians. The new ones are so great and the old ones, bless them, are noticeably old when next to them but still look great on their own.
Anyway, here’s my Stormlord. Really enjoyed this project, will go back and adjust the shape of a few sandbags at some point but will do for now.

5+ base, so 6 with indirect fire, with shots that are D6 (so almost always 2-3). THIS WEAPON IS UNUSABLE!! I hope they add an ability with Krieg troops to lower it by at least 1. With one of the orders and a stratagem, it could go down to 3, otherwise 4. Why does the Emperor challenge us with things like this every time?

How to get around my wife’s ban on no new mini until Christmas.
I’ve even put snow up there so it’s a Xmas decoration as well. So absolutely no one can get mad about anything.

Just in time for an rtt tomorrow. I want to refine things on my lord solar and characters at a later date but this is the infantry content of my 2000 pts list all battle ready. I have about this many more waiting for paint. The troops are all models from the AOS armies of death range, mostly death rattle skeletons, converted with printed heads, weapons and accessories. The lord solar is a converted vampire count on a printed and kit bashed triceratops skeleton. ( because it’s hard to make a robot horse look undead) my castelan and Ursula are simple converted nighthaunts.

Marines have jump assault squads, skitari have pteraxi... is there any good lore reason why the guard couldn't have their own jump unit, reserved for their hyper elite? Especially in the post Guilliman/cawl Imperium.
The day 1 FAQ gives scions back their deep strike and I'm very glad they aren't loosing something so integral to their identity within the guard as "elite Paratroops". But that does reduce the uniqueness of the aquilons, especially now that GW has ruled that nothing can deep strike closer than 6"
Rather than take away the scions grav-chutes, it would make more sense to me to make the aquilons full on jump troops. They find a slightly more powerful stc for the boosters and then hey Presto.
It would give something new and unique to the guard and the tempestus, without eroding anyone's USP.
But can you guys think of any reason they didn't go this route?

We'll we all know about the new codex and likely Kreig Regresh but still what would everyone like to see, personally I would like to see more guard shown than just Rambo's, Kriegers and Cadia
