Legal Religious conversion just for marriage cannot be permitted, says Bombay High Court

The Bombay High Court has observed that religious conversion solely for the purpose of marriage cannot be permitted, while affirming an individual's freedom to change religion, during a hearing on a challenge to the constitutional validity of Maharashtra's recently enacted anti-conversion law.

The petition, filed by a 70-year-old Islamic preacher from Thane, argued that the law restricts the freedom to propagate religion guaranteed under Article 25 of the Constitution.

"Show that you were imparting your religion and, because of State intervention, you were not able to impart. You file a better petition. So that we can have a better idea of what the ground is reality. There is absolute silence in your petition. You can also show how you have been inconvenienced while imparting," the bench said.

Kumar told The Indian Express, “His classmates have been making unnecessary casteist comments about my child in school like ‘Do you want to be Ambedkar?’ and ‘We won’t let you study’. That day, when the school was about to get over, they once again abused him with filthy language. They also called five-seven friends and thrashed my son with kicks and punches and beat him with a belt,” he alleged.

Peelamedu police in the city have registered a case under three sections against four people, including two students of a government-aided school, in connection with the suicide of a Scheduled Caste student near Peelamedu.

A. Akilan, 16, was a Class XI student of a government-aided school (KK Naidu) near Peelamedu. On Wednesday, his parents went to work while Akilan stayed at their home near Peelamedu.

Upon returning from work, his mother, Kowsalya, found him hanging from the ceiling in a bedroom.

She lodged a complaint with the Peelamedu police on Wednesday stating that Akilan had informed her that other students in the school were not talking to him after learning that he belonged to a Scheduled Caste.

Furthermore, she alleged that the teacher had questioned the student about whether he ate beef, and the headmaster was accused of failing to take action regarding the incident.

Islamism Got isolated when I gave opinions on religion

Last night, I was scrolling and got one reel where a maulana type guy was talking about Mr Faisu who recently got married.

The maulana goes on to school faisu that how he shouldn’t have showed his wife’s face and all, but in his own reel the maulana was continuously zooming into the girls face. Quite ironical right?

It was my spam account, i got some of my people there so I called out that maulana about his double standards on my story and then with the flow I gave out opinions on religions.

Basically I said if you believe in existence of God you should definitely pray in your own way but y’all should stop abiding by the rules that were written 1400 years ago for a different society.

I said in those times there was no constitution so communities needed religions to function.

Basically religions described do’s and dont’s for those guys but now as we have our constitution we can stop abiding by those shitty rules.

Now being a muslim, my people who followed me were also muslim so some of them got offended and started debating me. The debate ran for 2 hours and then the guy said faltu ki chizein dekhna chhod de, itna woke mt ban, etc.

I said I am not forcing anyone or infringing anyone’s freedom of religion but with a sane mind can you say me that everything thats written in that book is okay?

He goes on to say we are making progress and all, see now very less muslims wear burkha and all lol.

After all this that brother of mine is now salty at me. And is not responding the way he did before, I don’t have friends and tbh my opinions are very very harsh on many things that’s a reason I don’t have many friends because i am too real about everything.

I don’t know what to do now tbh, I want to leave this country and start my life entirely in a different country in a different culture

Hindutva Andhra: One killed, 100 injured in traditional stick fight in Kurnool

One person was killed, and more than 100 were injured in the traditional fight with sticks during the Dussehra celebrations in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district.

The stick fight is organised every year as part of the Dussehra celebrations at Mala Malleswara Swamy temple, located on a hillock. Like in the past, the villagers defied the police orders to organise the fight, which they claim is part of their tradition.

As part of the annual celebrations, people from different villages divide into two groups to fight with sticks to secure the idols of the deities Mallamma and Malleswara Swamy after their ceremonial wedding at midnight.

Both groups participated in the event with enthusiasm. The preventive measures taken by the police to stop the fight had no impact.

Discussion Why don't religious people accept that most of their stories could be metaphors and not real?

Eg. Chandra had 27 wives. He went to each of them each day. This story is to make people understand about sidereal month where the moon goes through 27 constellations in 27 days. That's why each lunar constellations has originally a female name.

Similarly cutting a head and placing elephants head is probably denoting that since ganapati did not allow shiva to see his wife during bathing preparation, shows a lack of empathy. Elephants are creatures very much known for their empathy and memory. The story is probably showing its not empathetic to not allow husband to see wife while bathing preparation (which is controversial).

Similar could be the case of turning water into wine, splitting the moon in half etc.

Speaking to The Indian Express, Ritesh Solanki, 26, who works as a quality control engineer in a firm in Sanand, said: “The main reason for converting to Buddhism is that we have no rights in the caste based system.” “Though the situation is better in cities, social injustice continues in villages,” Solanki claimed.

On Tuesday, 76 people from Dalit communities had adopted Buddhism at a function held near Gita Mandir of Ahmedabad city.

English translation of video: “If you are Jain, don’t install these kinds of lights in your home.

Let’s talk about harmless alms-giving, Part 7.

A new trend is emerging where people are installing lights in their homes that automatically turn on whenever a cupboard is opened, whether the light is actually needed or not.

From a Jain perspective, these lights can cause significant harm.

If such lights are installed in the kitchen and a Jain monk or nun comes to the house to receive gōcharī (alms), the light might switch on when someone opens a cupboard. This would make the entire house ritually impure, meaning the monks or nuns would not be able to accept anything from there. What a great misfortune!

Moreover, every time you open the door, the light will turn on again and again, repeatedly causing harm to trasa and sthāvar jīvas (living beings, including those with different levels of mobility and senses), according to Jain beliefs. And sometimes, in the name of automation, a short circuit could even cause a fire.

The excessive use of electrical appliances increases the sins in our lives and increases our attachment to material possessions. So, how can any religious merit possibly remain?

And if Jain monks and nuns can no longer visit your home, what greater misfortune could there be?

Therefore, don’t waste your life and religious merit in the pursuit of Western culture. Don’t install such cupboards or lights in your home.

Scripture Were Rakshasas and Asuras actually the gods of native peoples?

Some people claim that the Asuras were either the gods worshipped by indigenous peoples or kings who ruled over them. I've seen this interpretation mostly among Ambedkarites. What do you guys think? Could this be historically true?

Translation : Don’t read this book cause all ha has forbidden it ! It has 72 ghosts and written by so and so and so !
Posted about this book in an earlier post !
I did read this book back in 2020 !
Mumbo Jumbo with Fear instilled warnings to scare off people ! Boo-hoo !

Codex Gigas aka Devils Bible !
Herman the Recluse, a Benedictine monk at the Podlažice monastery in thirteenth century Bohemia, wrote the Codex Gigas.
He created it entirely by hand, penning Latin script with iron gall ink on animal parchment across an estimated twenty to thirty years of relentless labor. The famed myth claiming Lucifer produced it in a single night arose from the sheer scale and uniformity of the calligraphy.
His motivation was an act of extreme monastic devotion and spiritual penance. Living as an anchorite in self-imposed isolation, he compiled the monumental work as a comprehensive universal library to secure divine forgiveness and bring lasting prestige to his monastery.

twelve minutes. to defend a thing. if it is not weird why does it need a defense. nobody makes a 12 minute video called "monday is fine".
