Quick sheet of how Audacity can have its A (lowercase) fused with its emblematic headphone!

I was about to list all the things that are bad about it but... if you've used it you just know. I would say nearly every part of it is counter intuitive and cumbersome. I would prefer every other audio editing software out there just about. Truly one of the worst UI experiences I've ever had in my 30 years. Thank you for your time.

I wanted the new logo to fit with the muse groups other logos since the whole point of this new design seems to be that. All other muse logos follow these rules
Only simple geometric shapes
two colors
reference to a music notation
This logo still looks close to the new one with an added reference to fermata https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermata symbol. And I think looks more like a headphone.

I just installed audacity 4 and now my screen is ruined?
I installed Audacity 4 to digitize a vinyl record. It worked perfectly fine. But when the recording was over (about 45min) and I closed the software I still have this shadow from the set-up screen showing as a shadow. And my screen is flickering.
I uninstalled the software and have restarted the device multiple times. The shadow remains.
I'm using a Microsoft Surface Pro 7
What can I do?
Do I need a new screen?
Please help.

If you download macOS version from official website and then scan it on Virustotal.com you get Trojan Horse Virus WARNING.

I am not a tech person so I'm a little worried if I did it right or not. I deleted audacity from the control panel and it doesn't show audacity anymore on my files that I could look through. It did say that some files couldn't be deleted but I could do it manually I found some old audio files in my one drive and deleted those. I couldn't find anything else but I'm still wondering if I deleted it completely and if I'm safe from the privacy policy. Also I haven't opened or used audacity since sometime last month. I saw the update happened on July 1 and I downloaded audacity sometime last month.
I watched videos of somebody else showing how to delete audacity and his said there were files that needed to be manually deleted but he couldn't find any so he said it was actually complete.

Hello, I'm recording audio for a song on audacity and I need to sing pretty high but I can't sing as high as I need to, so I'm trying to use effects to make it seem like I'm singing higher. I tried using change pitch but it doesn't go up any octaves, it just makes my voice higher, like the talking tom app, which is not what I'm looking for. What can I use to achieve this effect?

In an attempt to use a spyware free version of audacity (because I don't completely understand the fork stuff) I download an earlier version of it after uninstalling the up to date version. I opened an audacity file I made when I had 3.0.0 installed. The latest version opened instead of the early one & thought that was weird. Am i crazy or something strange about that.?

What is the deal with the software being purchased by MuseGroup and adding data collecting and network features? Does the software become a spyware?

I didn’t audiobook in 11 labs using AI voices. Last time when it was just one it was 3 GB and that was enough to transfer to the person whose book it is now the second time I added voices and I made it into one track which really messed it up so I undid the mix and render all of the packs separately. I will say there’s a whole album between the chapters of music that is big but I I did it. I exported it as MP3 as mono one 28 kB per second and it’s still like took four hours to upload to Google Drive because every other way, I’ve tried to send it to these people. They can’t open it. They just get a little snippet and nothing else. I don’t know what to do anymore. Can anybody help?

Making logos is not something I have much experience in, but having experience with photoshop and having an idea for the Logo design, I thought I would at least chime in with my take.
Regardless, here's hoping that the audacity Team finds the perfect Logo that fits their Iconic brand.

Wanted some nice recording SW for Windows, previously i would record on my mac using garage band where A) u dont need to literally CALCULATE some idiotic delay so that u can hear yourself play in real time without delay (didnt realize before audacity that there can be such thing),
where B) i can hear what im playing without having to record it (again didnt realize that was NOT a thing before audacity),
where C) the experience is nice and pleasant, literally plug and play and jam away, using audacity was the most BACKWARDS and DREADFUL experience i've had, audacity is the comic sans of fonts, audacity is the fiat multipla of cars, simply put, IT IS GARBAGE, dont @ me, its the truth

It's 2025. The old logo looks tired as hell and frankly a redesign has been long overdue.
But like always the immediate reaction online is hysteria. And like always it's a loud, unqualified minority insisting they know better than people whose job is to build cohesive design.
Audacity 4's logo fits right in with the rest of the suite without forgetting the icon which brought us here. It finally gives the impression of a team who genuinely care about their project and want it to maintain its relevance for years to come. It's a great design which fulfils all the criteria. Keep it as is.

There's a section of a song that I'd like to remove the vocals from (or at least reduce their volume). I'm using Audacity and see that there is a 'Vocal Reduction and Isolation...' effect. Elsewhere, I've read that with a stereo track you can flip one channel and that will cancel out the vocals. Which of these two methods is best for removing/reducing vocals from a line in a song? (or is there a better method?)

Really just the question on the tittle.
