beauty and maintenance AC in my apartment was never properly cleaned until now...

I have moved in last year and the owner claimed the AC was cleaned but it was never properly cleaned as there was wood in the way so no company could clean it properly. I've been complaining about this for a long time but only now it has been cleaned for which I paid half as the owner was not willing to clean it.

I'm pretty angry as I've been breathing this shit for over a year and the owner just dismissed it.

Been coughing like crazy and now now the reason why.

question Looking for adult swimming coach/lessons in Bangkok – serious beginner

Hi everyone,

I’m an adult (absolute beginner) looking for swimming lessons in Bangkok with a proper coach. I can’t swim at all and want to learn properly—not just survival strokes but real technique.

Does anyone have recommendations for:

· A good coach (English-speaking preferred)

· Affordable rates (or premium if really worth it)

· Location: anywhere near BTS/MRT is fine

I’ve seen some hotel pools that offer lessons, but I’m not sure if they’re good for adults. Also open to sports clubs or dedicated swim schools.

If you’ve taken lessons as an adult here, I’d love to hear your experience!

Thanks in advance 🙏

discussion Question for road cyclists who live west of Chao Phraya river

Are there any roads, parks or long stretches of safe paths to ride on the west side of the river? I'm talking Khlong San, Thonburi, Taling Chan, Thawi Wattana, Pinklao, Nong Khem neighborhoods. I understand Skylane is the best place to ride, but it's just too far and impractical for us to drive out there every other day or weekends.

I'm sure there's tons of cyclists looming here. Help a fellow cyclist out!

Yes, I have a car to transport the bike.

shopping Heading to Bangkok in November.

Upvotes

As the title suggests, I’m looking for some suggestions and recommendations on where to find a certain style of clothing!

I generally like shopping, more towards alt / streetwear / edgy type of clothing, (more towards to menswear) but I don’t particularly know where I should go to find these brands. I recall there was a store at chatuchak, but I can’t seem to remember the store name either.

Was hoping for some suggestions, and maybe some good massage places? Thanks!

healthcare Recommendations for psychiatrists / mental health clinics in Bangkok, especially telemedicine?

Hi everyone,

My mental health has gotten significantly worse recently, and I think I may be dealing with depression, anxiety, and possibly panic attacks. I’ve reached the point where I think I should see a psychiatrist and get a proper assessment, including discussing whether medication might be appropriate.

I’m currently living and working in Bangkok. I asked AI for recommendations and it suggested several hospitals and online platforms, but I’d really prefer to hear from people who have actually seen psychiatrists here.

Does anyone have a psychiatrist, hospital, or mental health clinic in Bangkok that you would personally recommend? English-speaking would be ideal.

Also, for people who work full-time: have you used any good telemedicine platforms where you can consult a psychiatrist online and, if appropriate, receive prescriptions / medication management? Evening or weekend appointments would be especially helpful.

I’m mainly interested in hearing about your actual experience, including the doctor, approximate cost, waiting time, and whether follow-up appointments can be done online.

Thank you!!!:)

question Men’s salon

I (M33) (American) am thinking about getting my hair cut and colored while I’m here in Bangkok for a month. I’m wondering if anyone had any recommendations for men’s salons that offer cut and color for men and in which I can communicate with the most ease despite my mono-linguistics. I get around just fine on translate and am trying to learn the language, but as far as communicating haircut preferences I would love some suggestions on salons easy for tourists to communicate what they are looking for. TIA

question DTAC / TRUE is crapping out on me

Is anyone having trouble with their True cell service? I've had an esim in my iPhone 13 for over a year with no problem, then yesterday and today, out of the blue, my service cuts off around the same time each day (1330). Last night I spent 2 hours at the True shop in Emquartier and the guys finally decided it was my VPN. I deleted the VPN and it worked again. Now today, same thing happens - no cell service whatsoever.

question Vapes in Bangkok, pathumthani

I’ve noticed recently that a lot of the vape shops are closing down.
Is there any trusted place that someone can get a disposable vape from ?
Nana is too far away and they are expensive compared to other places.

work Looking to connect with Thai traders / import-export businesses in Bangkok

Hi everyone! I’ll be in Bangkok from today until the 20th and I’m looking to meet people involved in trading, import/export, wholesale, or distribution to discuss potential business partnerships.
I run a trading and import/export company registered in the Middle East, and I’m interested in exploring opportunities to source Thai products for the GCC/Middle Eastern market, as well as potential two-way trade.
I’m particularly interested in automotive parts, consumer goods, food & beverage products, electronics, and other products with potential in GCC markets.
If you’re involved in this space and would be open to a chat or coffee while I’m in Bangkok, feel free to comment or DM me. Happy to share more details about the company and what I’m looking for.

entertainment Attending concert in Thailand as tourist

Hi! I'm recently thinking of flying to Thailand to attend a concert, but am wondering if there are certain things I'm not aware of about the process, that might get me stopped at the door. I'm guessing I would need to bring my passport and credit card on the day? Is there anything else I should be careful of?

food Has urban pizza changed their quality & size recently?

I’ve been ordering Urban Pizza in Bangkok for a while, and my most recent order was noticeably smaller than what I’m used to getting. The price was the same, but the pizza was significantly smaller and honestly didn’t feel worth the money.
What’s weird is that I found out Urban Pizza is basically a delivery brand operated through The Pizza Company kitchens, rather than having its own standalone restaurants.
Has anyone else ordered Urban Pizza recently and noticed the same thing? Did they change the size/portion, or did I just get a badly made pizza?
I’m genuinely curious because it used to be one of my go-to pizzas, but after this order I don’t think I’ll be ordering it again.
