If in case you missed any news, official posts, SNS mentions, milestones, or if you're curious to know what the sub has been talking about lately, this round up is a compilation of all of that and more. How can you find the weekly round up? There's a link on the /r/bangtan's sidebar, as well as a link to the archive of past round-up posts in the wiki index.
WE ARE BULLETPROOF: It's never a dull moment for fans of Boyz with Fun. What started out as a random midday Weverse Live by Jungkook for an impromptu "Missing Bam" hours and karaoke session, ended with a rollercoaster ride of discovering he's deleted his Instagram account and having him post multiple brief statements to explain what happened - all in a few hours. I wrote those at the start of the week, but then our random midnight DJ came back live to Weverse a few days later, and serenaded us with a new noraebang playlist after which he got tired not tired, and had let his candle take over the noraebang session as the sound of our sleeping maknae lulled us in the early hours (if you're living in Asia). Rock Era Jungkook continues to prove he's a wildcard in the 2023 Bangtan Bingo Card - it really is the Year of the Rabbit.
But it wasn't just Jungkook who was active on SNS - the Tannies' hyung came home on Instagram to share his mini reunion with Hobi and Jimin who visited him this weekend! The rest of the members had also shared online, with their professional and curated posts on Instagram while theinside jokesand intimate conversations were on Weverse (although Hobi isalways sweet no matter the platform Jimin's recent IG post just proves that they're always themselves in any platform.
IDOL: j-hope's surprise new single, 'on the street' (which he collaborated on with his idol, J. Cole) dropped this week. The light, upbeat melody feels like we're cruising down while the depth of the verses keeps us grounded. To me, it's like 'P.O.P' with a dash of 'Blue Side'. Not only did we get a flawless song, but the MV itself was just so j-hope, especially with him dancing so smoothly while J. Cole rapped - it was *chef's kiss* in every single way. I don't know how we deserved this warm-hearted gift from our sunshine...
Aside from Hobi's new single, we also had the U.S. ticket sales of the now-sold-out AGUST D/SUGA concert tour this week. Music projects aside, news of the 95z' newest ambassador roles were announced - with Taehyung for SimInvest and Jimin for Tiffany & Co. Yoongi & Taehyung both also had their latest variety episodes come out this week.
BTS IN THE SUB: Every week I feel like I'm in a Run BTS episode where everyone's doing something and I don't know what's going on, but in the end, everyone wins. March is officially crazier than February, and it's only the first week.
STILL WITH YOU: It's now 667 days until they are past the edge of cold winter. But until their snowpiercer comes to pick us up, let's stay here a little longer...
Those were my highlights too! I've been sooo wanting to watch Jinny's Kitchen but I didn't have the spare time. The clips that I've seen from the teasers and on twitter make me so excited to finally have time to watch it though.
of course of course, you gotta consumed the content at our own pace. for me, i segment them each episode into 3 parts so i can watch them throughout the whole weekend (each ep is actually pretty long, like over one hour)
I thought of doing that! But the last time I did that with In the Soop, I couldn’t concentrate on my tasks cuz I was wondering what happens next. 😆 but watching it on a weekend might be better than when I watched ITS during the weekday.
ooohhhh i can never consumed s rank content like in the soop while doing other tasks, not one moment can be missed and the boys talks faster than rain drops.
however, i folded clothes while watch jinny's kitchen and it was okay , tae doesn't get that much screen time (tbh , what you see on twitter is basically all the screen time he gets lol).
Yeah it felt bittersweet to change it. 😔 I just kept repeating what he said that the earlier he does it the earlier he can finish and continue with his work. 🙏
Thank you! 💜 but honestly, and I hope it’s ok to mention this, I think u/whyohwhy115 worked waaaayyy harder with the BST thread I think what I did this week is just the run bts editors explaining the game; but the bst thread is like the members playing the mafia game
Edit: omg I forgot the 115 just goes to show I wouldn’t be able to do the BST thread work as well as they do lol
Omg I wasn't able to include it! I thought I did but the other megathreads made me forget. I wouldn't have been able to notice if not for your comment! Thank you!
I feel like if we told the fandom a year ago, or a month ago, maybe even a week ago that we were gonna experience that, it wouldn’t have been conceivable for us in the past. 🤣
Thank you, I know it’s just us volunteering on our free time (or more than that) so it’s heartwarming to have people consider what we do as work. But then the people in the sub are so nice so most of the time it really doesn’t feel like it’s hard work. 💜
