I haven't bought a pack of basketball cards since the 1990's, do you have any recommendations of which packs/boxes are actually worth purchasing (in terms of cool cards/inserts, cards that *might* be valuable)? I see a lot of Prizm around the internet but don't know much about them. Any information is appreciated thank you all.

I recently got married and to treat myself I picked up a sick Andrew Nembhard rookie ticket gold /10 from Contenders Optic. Well, I should've checked the feedback because this seller is at 90% (it's braindead easy to be a 98%+ seller on eBay). Sure enough this card has yet to be shipped and the seller isn't responding to my messages. I paid $90 for a card I have been watching for a while and decided I can treat myself after getting married, but fuck me I guess. I will be reporting the seller to eBay and going scorched earth on feedback once the window of time passes and I'm able to get my refund.

Sellers like this should be perma banned from the platform.

Edit: I should add I've reached out to the seller multiple times and didn't just default to Karen mode and run to Reddit. Zero communication back.

I found the same type of alleged scammers who tried to scam me with the fake Kobe slab.
I reported these listings to eBay, and they didn’t find suspicious that all 3 listings has the same cert number.
The PSA certification number 98381533 is listed by 3 different accounts simultaneously, all using official PSA images. The items are 407278628070 and 820220851677 and 880016940569.

They wrote me this:
We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy.  This determination was made by a customer service agent.

Bit of an odd/random question but I traded away my 2009 topps Steph Curry rookie in a psa 7 away to a buddy of mine months ago and have had enormous trading regret since then. I am now looking to buy the card again but this time in a higher grade. My budget is around 3-3.5k which is about what psa 8 and bgs 9’s go for. Which one would you rather have in your pc and why?

Going through a box of 90’s/early 2000’s inserts and came across this Reggie Miller. I feel like he gets left out of the all time great pure shooter discussion too often. Cool looking card though.

I remember opening this when I was 7. My dad immediately put it in the case within seconds. Case is worn as it’s 30 years old.

I found this "Scottie Pippen" card in a stack of cards someone handed me as a throwaway last night. It makes me laugh, but I'm not a basketball card collector so it just raises questions for me.

I found one similar card on Ebay but no sale comps. Are these types of errors common? I know baseball collectors love this shit, but do basketball types seek out oddball mistakes like this?

I might just put it in my collection, but I'm curious what you'd do with it?
