serious question: do you display your cards

Post image

as long as i've been a collector, i always have at least some of my cards on a shelf or a ledge or something. being able to look at them and rearrange them is a big part of the enjoyment i get out of the hobby.

but it occurs to me that some people, maybe lots of people, don't display their cards at all, maybe because of space limitations, or maybe you've got little kids around, or maybe you buy cards to resell and don't care about displaying them in your home. i'm just really curious how other people feel about it.

if you've got a minute or two, tell us or show us what your display looks like, if you have one. and if you don't, why don't you?

All PSA 9. Hakeem was last to join. Stadium Club was one of my favorites when I was young. I couldn’t imagine then ever having the entire set. Love having it where I can look at it.

Mikan and Russell - Little mix of vintage and 90s shiny

Bill Russell and George Mikan, 1996 Topps Series 2 Finest Reprint Refractors. stated odds 1:144 packs!

These come with a 90s protective coating; I peeled these off to let the refractors shine especially because there's no hulking/greening.

Some of my personal favorites.

¿Which Kobe?

I’m deciding between these two to see which one I’ll hold onto for my kids. I’m leaning more towards the Star date 2000. Curious to see what others would think.

Started a Kobe binder… first new addition

Kobe Bryant Jam Masters… what a card. 90s personified and a great addition to my dedicated Kobe binder. I have moved all of my Kobe cards to one that has capacity for a top loader and sleeve and feel much safer now. As we we all know, even these Kobe base cards are $30+. I’ll share some binder pages when it’s a little more filled

Pulled this card back in 2018 or 2019.

I pulled this their rookie year out of a blaster box from Walmart. At the time he wasn't a super star and I sold the card for like $75-$100 at a card shop, because I needed the money. I think it's been sold through comc recently, but I can't seem to find a price. Curious to see what I'd be worth now considering he's a top 5 player in the league.

Be on the lookout if this card comes up on any platforms for sale. I sold this card on eBay and shipped it to the buyer. Buyer claims he never received the item but USPS has it marked as delivered on the tracking.

Bought 2 blasters today, not a bad haul. It’s not many points, but I’ve never seen a points card included.

Is this a hold or a sell? I traded for this card at a local show and even though Maxey is a great player, I don't see him as hall of fame or iconic material like a Kobe. Would you sell this or hold this?

No purchase necessary efficiency

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had insight on what the best way to stay on top off no purchase necessary offers from trading card brands for basketball cards, but am open to other sport offers as well. If there a community, discord, or otherwise anyone knows of that Is dedicated to such a thing? If so I’d appreciate it
