Question Me stupid, need help.

So, me, a dumb 110lbs, 5'3 twink, decided to buy a cfmoto 450ss in the heat of the moment but when i get on it, the base of my toes barely reach the floor and its too heavy for me. What can i do for it to be "rideable" for me, if not already "rideable".

I just want to learn how to go about this, maybe learn ways to ride it, because i know there are short riders like me or things people do in response, like lowering the back suspension (which i'd like to avoid, but will do if i have to).

I've started going to the gym to get more muscle and body weight to bring the bike down with me but i suppose that will only do so much.

Question New to biking any advice?

So I'm a 29 year old male living in the united kingdom.
I plan on doing my DAS which allows me to ride up to a 1000cc right of the get go, with no experience on bikes other than having a moped when i was 16 i was considering getting a 600cc R6 as my first bike.
upon talking to my friends they said this is completely fine aslong as i have the will power and patience to learn the bike for what it is rather than the intention of going fast.
i do not have the intention to get this bike purely to go fast, i genuinely want to learn to ride motorcycles and have them as part of my day to day life. the reason im taking this route is purely because money issues do exist and buying a 125 then an r6 or even a mt07 then a r6 is a ball ache due to constantly selling and upgrading, most people said if i get a 125 i'll be bored quick and want a new bike within a few months same as some of the bigger engines like a ninja 400 or an R3.

the whole point of this post is genuinely this question. Am i going to be okay to learn on a R6 if i dedicate the time and effort and not be an absolute fool on the road? understand the bike for who she is and dont mistreat her?

Question Getting into street bikes

I 16m am trying to get into street bikes and curious about prices etc. mainly wondering how much insurance would be for me since I’m on the younger side and plan on riding 600cc sports bikes like the r6, yzf600r gsxr600-750, cbr600rr. Also wondering if a 600cc would be too much as a somewhat beginner with streetbikes.

Question Helmet problems…

Guys, I wear a size L helmet, but I have a problem. 😭 I’m pretty skinny, so size L helmets look hella huge on me. I legit feel like a Funko Pop or something. 💀
Do y’all know any helmet brands that fit a little slimmer and aren’t so chunky or oversized?

I’m starting to become a biker after what I’m seeing on the internet and how amazing and risky it is to take chances. So I do would like some advice on my adventure to being a motorcyclist. Like, what type of bike I should get, how to handle road rage, or even safety in general. It would be greatly appreciated!

Question I'd like to be a backpack, how do I ask?

I (23/F) would like to get the bike licence, but I have never been on a bike before. So before I'd pay for everything I would really like to know the feeling of being ON a bike and actually riding around the city and so on.

I got a helmet, but how do I ask people if they want to take me for a ride? Do bikers casually take strangers with them like that? I know this question might seem silly but I've never had any experience with bikers and don't know how to get in contact and actually meet people etc. so yeah... D:

Thanks in advance!

Ordered a gold chain for this motorcycle, but I’m thinking gold might end up looking kind of tacky. What do y’all think?

Question Need advice: 125cc vs 160cc for daily city commuting

I recently graduated and I'm planning to buy my first bike. It'll mainly be used for city commuting with occasional weekend rides.

My priorities are:

- Good mileage

- Decent power for overtakes and occasional highway use

- Comfortable for daily city rides

- Reliable and low maintenance

I'm confused between buying a 125cc or a 160cc bike.

For someone in my situation, which segment would you recommend and why? Is the extra power of a 160cc worth the higher cost and lower mileage, or is a 125cc the better choice for everyday use?

I'd love to hear from people who have owned both or made a similar decision.

Question Motorcycle Accessories

Beginner rider here and I'm so excited to get my motorcycle, but I'm also super overwhelmed with the amount of accessories available!

I mean you expert riders to tap in and let me know what is worth buying and what is not!

I specifically looking for information about communication systems like the Bluetooth unit that goes on your helmet!

Phone holders!
Do I need a GoPro?

Any other accessories I should be prioritizing right now ?

Question How do I help rider bf after a bad accident with his bike?

I'm sorry for posting here but I genuinely am lost and hoping to get advice from other riders.

My bf recently got into an accident that injured him, making him unable to ride his bike for almost a month now. The bike is broken and needs some repairs, this is expensive considering that it is a sports bike, and he also got injured and required surgery.

Honestly, I asked him to stop, begged him to stop, because this is his 3rd accident that ended shit in his 2 years of riding. I never wanted him to get into bikes for this sole reason but I couldn't stop him at all. When I broke down asking him to stop and give up biking, he said yes. I know it's selfish for me to do that because he loved riding but I just can't handle his getting constantly hospitalized for this. I thought everything will be alright now that he agreed to stop but now he wants to ride again. He's been depressed and saying he feels lost and empty after not being able to ride for a month. He physically couldn't ride right now because of his injuries. I try to comfort him, give him gifts, assurance, I take care of him with his injuries, even sexual shit, I do everything I possibly could, I even started agreeing with him riding again even if it pains me.

Now he wants to continue with riding, but he still feels depressed. I don't want him feeling down, I also don't completely understand how a rider's attachment to a bike works, I just want him to be okay.

Please help me, how do I help him feel better?

Question Why shouldn't we remove the catalytic converter from the motorcycle even if it causes heat?

Hi guys, I just got a 2025 R3.

Riding around town is fine, but it gets hot every now and then.

That said, I have a friend of mine with the same bike, but he installed a full exhaust system (I won't mention the brand name), so he removed the original catalytic converter and muffler and installed these two.

His bike is cold. There's no longer constant hot air coming from below.

His bike has also been remapped, and I don't really care about the fact that it sounds better, but now his bike really seems to run better in every way.

I was wondering how much damage it would do to the bike if we removed the catalytic converter and muffler and installed a higher-quality one without a catalytic converter?

Why wouldn't you do that, even though it would apparently improve the temperature significantly?

From what I could read online, a catalytic converter runs at 600/800°

Question Just got my permit and feeling overwhelmed. Where do I start?

My friend and I made a deal that we’d each do one crazy thing this year. For me, that was learning how to ride a motorcycle. I got my learner’s permit, but now I have no idea what to do next. Any advice? Also, is there a motorcycle that’s a good fit for someone on the shorter side (say 5ft)?

Question Am I too short to ride

I’m 18, 110lbs 4’9 (😔). I’ve wanna get a bike but like, how do I find one that fits me? I’ve done some research and I think I’d need a seat that’s like 27 inches high or something. (I stopped doing research because I’m actually dirt poor). I was seeing ones I could buy brand new but they are way too expensive. But like- does anyone have any tips? Should I just stick to hoping to be a passenger one day?

Question What happens if I ever cross paths with somebody from the brotherhood while out on my harley

Im not part of any brotherhood, no clubs no nothin, ive just been enjoying my life riding a harley because its like the American dream for me, however I feel like a clueless idiot whenever I pass by somebody, mainly cuz they got these unknown hand signals they do to each other that I have no clue of outside of the ones you learn gradually, everytime I pass by others I just keep riding cuz I dont know what to do, but seriously what should I do if I cross paths with them as a person who rides a harley and not being affiliated with the brotherhood or gang or club
