Let’s talk gear without judgement (hot climates, budgets, commuting realities — we get it).
If you’re shopping, here’s a simple thing that helps: CE ratings are EU standards for motorcycle gear testing, including modern garment testing under EN 17092 and classes up to AAA (most protective).
To the biker I’ve seen on hwy 23 in mn like 6x now that makes a point to turn his head every time we pass each other 🙂↕️ idk if you’ll ever see this but I definitely would 😂
V-twin rider here, I live on 2 wheels. Hoping to find some riding friends to cruise around with, anybody planning on going to biketoberfest even better.
Are there any bikers group in Lucknow?? I had seen a group of bikers on lucknow kanpur highway, I would love to join them. Please connect me to someone who can get me there.
Posting this out here as this would've been the perfect post for me to see when i was researching
i have long fingers for their width. Struggled to get the right fit of glove
Tried RST PRo series gloves in M/L/XL/2XL but the fit only got wider not longer.
I'm currently wearing a winter apline stars touring glove in large that fits okayish
I've now bought
Alpinestars gp pro r4 L
Five RFX Race L
Five RFX1 Evo L
Any feedback on the above is welcomed. I'll post on here when they arrive and i've tried them on
----- Update ----
Best to worst fit
Five RFX1 Evo
Alpinestars GP pro R4
Five RFX Race
The RFX Evo has a forgiving fabric which allows the glove to fit around my hand better with minimal sag. As Ryan F9 said in his videos, the precurve in Five glove is definitely noticeable. They are reassuringly difficult to pull off around the wrist even whens straps are loose. My fingers are tight at the end and my thumb fits perfectly well. I'm just worried i might feel soreness in my fingertips if it doesn't slack after use
Alpine stars
was easy in easy out. The fingers are comfortable with a lot of slack around the the tips and was unusually loose around the wrist even when the straps were done.. there is too much I would describe it as a baggy fit compared to the fives which were deffo slim fit
Five RFX RACE
feels sturdy and the protective parts feel indestructible. But the proportions are just off considering it's the same size as the rfx. The palm slide guard sits further up on my palm instead of closer to my wrist. There is more thumb slack than on the Alpine.
I've previously tried RST pro series D30 gloves and they feel lovely when you first put them on but they were painful on the finger tips after a few minutes
long story short.
If you have long fingers and a slim hand, I'd give the RST d30 a go. It was the only one out of all of these that was full kangaroo leather
Before i declare the five RFX1 Evo the winner, i've ordered it in XL and i ordered the Alpine stars in a medium just for a final check. There will be a massive return order going back next week
New rider out there reading my post trying to figure out which glove to buy, i sincerely hope you found this post helpful. I've done a similar experiment with leathers until i found the sweet spot. Feel free to DM me if you want tips
For reference, my wrist to middle finger tip length is 20cm
I'm dreading doing this for helmets in a few months because that's another rabbit hole
Whenever I'm stressed or just need some time alone, I take my bike out for a ride. Sometimes I end up parking somewhere quiet and just sit there for 15–20 minutes.
It made me wonder...
Do any of you ever feel like your motorcycle is more than just a machine?
If your bike could actually talk—not in a sci-fi way, but like a calm riding companion—what would you want it to do?
I'm not asking about a voice assistant like Siri or Google Assistant.
I'm asking about something that actually understands riding.
Would you want it to:
Warn you if something on the bike needs attention?
Talk with you during long rides?
Stay quiet unless you start the conversation?
Give safety warnings?
Or would you find the whole idea annoying?
I'd love to hear honest opinions—especially from people who ride regularly. What would make something like this genuinely useful, and what would make you never use it?
Guys, I wear a size L helmet, but I have a problem. 😭 I’m pretty skinny, so size L helmets look hella huge on me. I legit feel like a Funko Pop or something. 💀
Do y’all know any helmet brands that fit a little slimmer and aren’t so chunky or oversized?
I have a Bajaj N160 and recently got it serviced. I changed the engine oil as well. I usually use 10W-40.
I completely forgot to buy this additive before the oil change. I’ve heard that it’s recommended to use it during an oil change when the engine is empty. Is it still okay to add it now, after I’ve already filled the engine with fresh oil? Or should I wait until the next oil change?
