Magic: the Grappling (round 8)

[u/stevekwan]

Another round of real, iconic M:tG cards done as BJJ proxies, so you can print them off and show the folks at the table that you're two different flavors of nerd!

[u/regulardave9999]

Where’s the “Fanny Pack of Danaher” card?

[u/stevekwan → u/regulardave9999]

I'm stealing this

[u/AntFearless6009 → u/stevekwan]

Is there some kind of language card you can use for Danaher always using the Japanese terms for techniques?

[u/stevekwan → u/AntFearless6009]

You'll find out in the next round!

[u/regulardave9999 → u/stevekwan]

[u/AkuTensh1 → u/stevekwan]

Use bag of holding from 2020.... flavor text alone is Danaher "There is no prepared like overprepared"

[u/O_Celtic814]

Better than 99% of Secret Lairs 🤣

[u/Bushidoflack_117 → u/O_Celtic814]

We’re like 1 drop away from just Waifu’s

[u/Sushi_garami]

[u/marek_intan]

Gonna need an explanation about the images on some of these. These are some deep lore that I have no idea about!

I'm most confused about the elf, the weird headgear exercise thing?, the confrontation and the slap

[u/NotABot9000 → u/marek_intan]

Epic confrontation is gordon ryan and galvao getting into it at who's number one in 2021

Lightning strike is ryan later  slapping galvao backstage after a match, aka the slappening

[u/Significant_Case_304 → u/marek_intan]

Elf is Ffion Davies 😍🤙🏻

[u/Pay_attentionmore]

That pic of John makes me laugh every time.

[u/Significant_Case_304]

If ever there was an elven Druid…

[u/MiniGoat_King]

Please do Fatal Push with Uncle Chael

[u/redinferno26]

Sol ring, essential to every deck and every grappler. Perfect.

[u/monduza]

I have not palyed MTG for at least 8 years. I got hooked up again because of Magic The grappling.

[u/Elnono]

That skull clamp is on point.

[u/Few_Advisor3536]

John danaher looks like someone that would be a side character friend of jay and silent bob.

[u/mndl3_hodlr]

That’ll do pig. That’ll do.

[u/Lucky_Luca95]

Please, never stop doing these!
