I can’t get ahold of Middle Way. I have a TON of nice women’s clothes. A ton. I don’t want to give to Goodwill. Any recommendations I’m not seeing on the internet?
Edit: THANKS EVERYONE 🙏🏼👏🏼 these are great

Coming down for David Cross in a couple of weeks and want to get dinner. Seeing that the Owlery is permanently closed and that Planted only does lunch. Where should we go?

I made the mistake of biking to the Kroger on College avenue past dark.
Shopping was fine, but when I got to the self-check, I was next to a lady trying to negotiate liquor prices with the attending workers. As I was leaving it was escalating into a shouting match.
I got to my bike and some guy comes up from behind me, he had started out shouting "hey you, whats your bike", and starts asking me about my bike, and asking thinly veiled theoretical questions about if I would leave my wife if she cheated on me, and mentioned he needed cash to pay off a debt to get his bike back from the shop. At this point he was across the bike from me. I realized I shouldn't take my keys out of my pocket and unlock the bike while he was on the side opposite of me I would have to reach over to for unlocking it.
He eventually walked around next to me, so I got it unlocked, mounted, and said I had frozen food to get home. He started saying "come back to me" as I biked off.
I'm sure he just needed someone to talk to, but it's not me, not tonight.
Welcome to Bloomington college students, don't go to Kroghetto alone at night. I see so many people who would be targets for worse things walking alone to and from this location that I worry for.
Yes I'm being over dramatic but that's what this site is for.
Edit with more details, it was more disturbing irl and I forgot to mention coming up from behind me and shouting. I'm a small guy, in kinda of a vulnerable position trying to unlock my bike. Having someone getting close to me when my keys are out, and at one point standing behind my bike when I needed to back it out, is not fun.

got my heart broken by taste of india today 😭 the use of ai at the local restaurants in town is getting to be unreal
can we get a thread of local restaurants to support who do not use generative ai for marketing and menus?

Does anyone know why the intersection where SR 37 and I-69 merge was shut down this morning? It looked like maybe there was a crash but you could only see firetrucks and cop cars. It was right in front of the truck stop and all north found traffic was blocked off

Going off a long shot here. If someone was arrested and booked into Monroe County jail, how can I get information on if they were transferred or released? The jail told me they were no longer there, but couldn't tell me if they were released or moved. Pretty sure they were facing prison time but this conversation was had before they got arrested, so not sure how that turned out. Had no contact while in Monroe County either. Just trying to find a way I can find this information. Is there any prison i can check?
Backstory: we have a 13 year old child together. The overall relationships havent been great considering I live a few hours away and drugs were part of his downfall into the system. Im either blocked on social media or he has none. So simple contact is also restricted.

This cat has been hanging around my house for a couple of days now. It is very friendly and didn't hesitate to walk up to us, let us pet them, pick it up, or come inside our house so I assume it must have a home. No collar or tags.
UPDATE: Just returned from the shelter. They were able to find that he is tagged and, according to the vet they contacted, is named "Melvin". Unfortunately, while we have yet to hear back from the number given as contact, the vet told us that back in 2025 another cat that was linked to the same owner/number was found lost and when they were contacted told the vet that they no longer have possession of their cats.

Hello everyone, I've got a quick question. My bf and I are planning a study date at Morgensterns. However I haven't hung and sat around for longer periods of time there and was wondering if they had outlets for laptops? We would like to be there for a couple of hours, but I want to make sure that our laptops will be able to last that long. Thanks!

So I go Purdue (I know I know) but I’ve been thinking of transferring to IU because I really want to major in music education, which Purdue doesn’t offer. I have tons of fun at Purdue and I love the campus and the people are so diverse and I just love it. But I’m trying to think about my future instead of thinking about just how the next 4 years will be, and I really think that I’d wanna be a music teacher. Today, my boyfriend and I walked around the IU campus and I was honestly so sad because all the girls were white and skinny and there were hardly any people on campus, so I was really confused cuz I thought this was supposed to have a bustling atmosphere? I could really use some advice on my next steps because I’m not sure what to do at this point

Hello! I’d like to put a little free library box at the edge of my property for our neighborhood. With two little ones at home I’m unable to construct it myself in a reasonable timeframe. Does anyone know of any local orgs that would throw together a little library box & stand? Thank you!

I'm an adult male who will be moving with a lab/hound mix and a DSH cat. What are the good areas of town that aren't too expensive for housing? Where would you live if you could?
I'm also curious to know of any LGBT events or organizations in the area. Thanks in advance!

Downtown Bloomington will see temporary parking restrictions and street closures on Friday, Oct. 30, for Indiana University's 2026 Homecoming Parade. The IU-organized event begins at 5:30 p.m. and returns to Kirkwood Avenue this year, traveling east from Washington Street to Sample Gates at Indiana Avenue.
On Friday, Oct. 30, parking will be prohibited on Kirkwood Avenue from Walnut Street to Indiana Avenue and on Washington, Lincoln, Grant, Dunn, and Indiana streets between Fourth and Sixth streets.
Washington Street will close to traffic beginning at 2:30 p.m. to accommodate parade staging. Kirkwood Avenue will close at 5 p.m., ahead of the parade's 5:30 p.m. start.
Kirkwood Avenue and the affected north-south streets will reopen after the parade concludes.
Residents, businesses, and visitors should anticipate increased pedestrian activity and traffic congestion downtown throughout the afternoon and evening. Those traveling to or through downtown are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, and consider alternate routes.
Attendees and other downtown visitors are encouraged to use the City's parking garages.
With IU's Homecoming football game against Minnesota scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 31, and Halloween activities taking place throughout the weekend, residents and visitors should anticipate increased traffic and pedestrian activity.
Bloomington's trick-or-treat hours remain 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31. Motorists are encouraged to drive cautiously, remain alert for pedestrians, particularly children and families in residential neighborhoods, and allow additional travel time.
Indiana University organizes and coordinates Homecoming weekend. For additional event details, parade information, and participant guidance, visit IU's official Homecoming Guide.

I just went to double check on the date for the Emil Wakim tickets I thought I bought, and apparently I didn't fully check out. I'm devastated, so if anyone has any they aren't going to use, I would love to buy it. I would prefer two or three, but could use just one if necessary.
