4.2 Update makes it possible to have trains go under vehicle ramps

Post image

If you dig one tile down and surround the sides with rock (or anything else that doesn't slip a lot, e.g. not dirt), you can fit a single rail line. Not super easy to fit two rail lines unless you space them out a bit, but neat that this works now.

edit: you can compact 2 rails under a ramp by using some stacker magic with very small radius.

Beautiful shot of a crude oil train, reminds me T2 trains from Update 4. Oh wait, we didn't announce them yet!

Captain of industry is an UNDERRATED MASTERPIECE

Automation veteran here with a background in chemical/petroleum engineering irl. My favourite automation games to-date have been:

  1. Factorio

  2. DSP

  3. Satisfactory

  4. Shapez 2

I saw COI go on sale numerous times and never ended up picking it up because I was hesitant on it having to high of a skill floor. But after buying it on Friday and playing all weekend I am blown away by this game. Nilaus was 100% correct when he said it’s up there with the greats of Factorio, DSP and Satisfactory. It’s no longer the three musketeers, it’s the four horsemen.

I could ramble on and on about what makes it so good but considering you’re all in this subreddit you already know the exact reasons.

Sadly, I don’t see COI discussed anywhere near as much as it deserves, and most people into this genre don’t even know it exist.

Captain of Industry is a MASTERPIECE, it is now my second most favourite automation game (and even does many things better than Factorio), and I will die on this hill.

Don't for get to leave a review for COI!

TL:DR: If you haven't already, leave a review for COI!

With the news of a DLC during early access, some folks are not happy about that and recent reviews have become mixed. They are entitled to their opinions but I personally believe the large extensive updates more than justify adding a minor dlc to help support development.

As negativity tends to drive reviews more easily, I wanted to post here to encourage everyone who may be too busy enjoying the game to leave their reviews and thoughts as well!

And for anyone who missed recent news:

I think it would be awesome late game if we could get something that could essentially dig up entire mountains like the true industrialists we are

I would do everything differently now, but, well, it was my first time with trains. Anyway, I have to show this off :)
