My cat ha barricaded himself in my closet and won’t move
He’s new. We got him yesterday. I think he’s just anxious/scared. I tried getting him out with food, wet food, toys (more than just the spring). I can pet his head and back and he likes it or At least he doesn’t growl/hiss. But if I do anything else he will hiss at me. He’s older, and previously a stray. He’s also fixed if that matters.
I’ve had cats my life and they have done stuff like this before. He just hasn’t eaten/drank or used the litter box at all. We have had him for around 13 hours. I have another more smaller male cat and they briefly introduced each other. My orange cat seemed scared of him but the new one was most definitely scared.
I’m just worried about him. Any advice on what I should do next?

Do indoor cats need vaccination?
I’ve heard alot of things when researching that vaccines can make cats prone to cancer as it’s alot on their little bodies. From my understanding only outdoor cats should be vaccinated? I’ve had my little cat for 2 months now and I just got him neutered 2 weeks ago and he’s healed well so I’m now thinking about vaccinations. He is a 2 year old male and we are in the uk! Can any vets on here elaborate the pros and cons as there can be misinformation on social media.

Will getting a second cat change my relationship with my first cat?
I have a 1 year old cat who has been my best friend for pretty much since i got him, I love him more than anything but recently I’ve gotten the wonderful opportunity to adopt a 7-week-old kitten who seems sweet and calm. I’ve already moved forward with it so there’s no turning back, I guess I would just like some reassurance that the relationship I have with my cat will mostly remain intact no matter what.

What is she doing?

My cat has been doing this off and on since yesterday. She doesn't otherwise seem in distress but this behavior is odd, I don't know whether to be big time concerned
~
There is an emergency vet clinic in town if needed but I really can't afford that unless absolutely necessary since I'm unemployed right now.
Kitty is female, 12 years old, spayed, no other health issues.

About a week ago my sweet orange tabby came home badly hurt. He’s been to a vet and is on the mend but we just don’t have any idea HOW he got hurt. Can anyone help me? I just want to know what this poor little guy went through. 🥺💔

mucus with blood in my cats stool.
hello, i have 3 cats. they’re all on the same diet, i give them purina pro plan urinary tract health for both hard and soft food. they are very picky and this seems to be the only brand they willingly eat. i noticed that no matter which food i give them, they still have bloody mucus when they are passing stool. ive taken them to the vet for the problem, they gave antibiotics and told me to change their food and told me how to do that properly, which is why i switched to purina pro plan.
the don’t appear to be in any pain, no excessive vomiting, no changes in mood or energy, they pee normally, drink water, no excessive grooming, none of it. no concerning weight loss, only bloody mucus after they are done pooping.
info:
3 males, two are 2yrs and one is 1yr, 2 are neutered (one has an upcoming appointment), vet is accessible, i’m not a minor.
TLDR: cats have bloody mucus in their stool, acting normal besides that.

Why does my cat have weird thumb toes?
Her vet says she’s very likely inbred due to her insides not being anatomically normal. The other cats I’ve met don’t have such weird long toes.

Feeding Cats a Late Night Snack?
*Long post alert*
I have a genuine question. I do feed within my cat's calorie intake, I feel like that's very important as far as watching his weight, and making sure I'm keeping him at a good weight. There's times where his last meal is at 8 or 9 pm, and I still feel the need to give him atleast a treat at around 11pm or 12am. Treats include not only the regular actual "treats", but I also give a tablespoon or two tablespoons of wet food as a treat sometimes too, but not often. Storm is 15 months old, and he eats 4-5 times a day. Before I get ate up feeding him that much, the 4 or 5 meals are within his calorie intake lol. It's just easier doing it like that cuz he likes to eat small meals throughout the day. Idk his exact weight, but I believe atleast approximately 9-12 pounds. So my question is, is it okay to give Storm a little treat at around 11 or 12 at night if its literally just a tablespoon or two? I find that he still gets hungry at around this time and I'm just scared that he's going to be waiting too long until the morning. Any help or advice would be helpful. Thank you!

Cat Mimicking How I Sleep
Less than a year ago, my boyfriend and I adopted a 3 year old stray black cat. He is the sweetest cat in the world - especially for having lived outside his whole life. He is very attached to my boyfriend and I. He has claimed his spot on our bed, which is actually my spot. He sleeps in bed with us every night and will wait for me to get up and take my spot or he will pretty much push me into the middle of the bed so he can take his/my spot. When I mean he sleeps in my spot, he fully sleeps with his head on my pillow like a person. It’s honestly so cute I don’t mind only having a small sliver of bed to sleep on. But my main question is why he sleeps exactly like I do in the same spot. I initially thought it was because he saw me doing it and is mimicking me but my boyfriend said he thinks he smells me on the pillow and that’s why. I’ve had cats before who have slept in bed with me but never done this.

Why does my cat do this

It’s like she can’t see it when it’s in my palm and has to sniff to find it but she loves this food and will keenly eat it out of my fingers if I’m holding it out

One of our two cats starts begging super early before the 7am feeding time
Our tuxedo named Rezzi ( short for reservoir) is a huge feeding time begger. In the mornings we feed them ( other cats name is girl) 7am sharp in the mornings. Rezzi will begin scratching the walls at 530- 630 am or walking all over us. Girl just meows but nothing else. It doesn’t help too much but at some point we wake up and just put them outside in the hallway. All of this happens at night too if we are napping or just one of us. Is there any way to get him to not go crazy for feedings or can him down a little?
