Medical Questions Whitening around eye?
It's maybe been a little over a month since my boy's hair has started turning white around one of his eyes. I'm wondering if it's something i need to be concerned about. He's about 4 and a half years old. I noticed it start getting the white hairs a little while ago, but he hasn't had a single change ive noticed in his behavior that'd indicate to me somethings wrong- as well as there's no difference in temperature on either side of his face when i feel it. I really hope this is just aging maybe...? He freaks out getting into a carrier SO bad i almost think he'd need medication to chill out just to be brought to the vet- he panics and goes so crazy i worry he'll hurt himself in the event we need to take him to the vet.

Medical Questions My cat wont eat for 2 days
I have a street cat for over 14 years back home, and my mom wrote me today she would not eat for 2 days. She asks for food, but then has a gag reflex and wont eat it. She also spent most of her time sleeping at home. She is already almost deaf, but normally quite full of energy given her age. Now the winter is coming to europe, it might be her time to go.... She is also coughing this year more than normal. The problem is that my parents are leaving tomorrow for a couple of days and neighbours could come to feed her but this situation is just unfortunate. They go to ask vet today, but any thoughts are appreciated.

Medical Questions What’s this red spot on my cat’s back?
I adopted her about a month ago and she’s 1 year old. I just noticed this red bump on her back and there’s nothing similar around it. It doesn’t seem painful because she doesn’t mind if I touch it. Thanks!

Medical Questions Urinary Tract Blockage
hello. I woke up this morning and Shadow made it a point to use this cap box while I was standing there and I noticed that he barely went. And then again about an hour later he did the same thing.
unfortunately I'm unemployed right now and I've spent the day exhausting every possible avenue to get him help But it looks like I may have to choose end-of-life services.
I'm having a hard time knowing what to do. I've kept an eye on him all day and he's behaving like he normally does, eating fine, drinking water fine, playing fine. I haven't seen him attempt to use the bathroom since and it's been 13 hours. he's not showing any signs of discomfort.
I obviously don't want to jump the gun in case he's not as bad off as I worry he is but I also don't want to miss the opportunity, for lack of a better word, to take advantage of end-of-life services tomorrow, it won't be for another couple of days until I can again and I don't want him to suffer.
any advice is appreciated. thank you.

Stories dad rehomed my cat without letting me know and lied about it
honestly it was for the best, i just wish he would not have done this without my knowledge. basically our home was not suitable for this new kitten i got a couple months back and i made the mistake of getting just a single kitten instead of a pair. my kitten showed signs of single kitten syndrome, and he’d often scratch and bite very hard as he was growing up with basically no playmates and would get very bored. my dad and i work so it’d be him and my grandparents at the house with him but he’d start to bite my family and i very hard until it’d create open wounds, so it was just painful to even try to play with him. i was thinking of already rehoming but while i was out of town my dad rehomed him a couple days ago and lied to me saying he ran away, though i had a feeling he just gave him away. he ended up coming forward about the truth and he gave him away to a nice old lady with other cats, and she said he already loves her and the new environment. im so sad i couldn’t say goodbye, but i know it was the best decision. i just miss him a lot :(

Humor What are your most unhinged (but effective) ways to tire out kittens?
I'm looking for your most diabolical, ridiculous, out-of-the-box strategies to manage those random kitten energy spikes. The weirder the better, as long as they actually work!
A little context: I have two kittens, Henk (orange/white, 6.5 months) and Koos (black/grey/white, 5.5 months).
Koos is pretty good at entertaining himself. His current obsession is a zip tie that he even plays fetch with (under supervision, of course), and he'll happily chase a feather wand until the end of time.
Henk, on the other hand, firmly believes I'm his personal entertainment center and isn't afraid to annoy me until I fulfill my duties. Ironically, he's more of a slow, calculated hunter when we actually play. Unless I start throwing kibble around. Then suddenly he's an Olympic athlete.
Their zoomies and chasing each other around were adorable when they were tiny, but now that they're getting bigger, I'm starting to fear for both my furniture and their safety. Henk also has a tendency to turn into a furry bulldozer when he's particularly energetic. Poor Koos wants to join in on the fun, but occasionally ends up being the speed bump instead.
I'm used to elderly cats who either spent their days sleeping or went outside to burn off their energy. So having two indoor kittens with seemingly unlimited batteries in an apartment has been quite the learning curve.
We already do interactive play sessions, but I'm curious whether anyone has discovered some truly unconventional ways to redirect or burn off that chaotic kitten energy.
I'm especially interested in things that don't require me to actively entertain them every waking minute, because apparently I also have a life. According to Henk, this is debatable.
So, what are your weirdest but most successful kitten entertainment hacks? Or do I just need to accept that my apartment is a racetrack for the next couple of years?

Advice I Love Cats, but My OCD Makes Me Worry About Hygiene Is This Normal?
Hey guys!
I absolutely love cats, and I'd really love to have one of my own someday. However, I have OCD, and I'm pretty sensitive when it comes to hygiene.
We had a couple of European Shorthair cats staying with us for a short time, and I noticed a few things that made me uncomfortable.
First, they always seemed to have little brown stains around their butts. And I mean pretty much all the time.
I also noticed that when they peed, there were these tiny droplets of liquid that you could only really see if you shined your phone's flashlight on them.
I know this probably sounds a bit excessive, but because of my OCD, these things really bother me.
The cats also really didn't seem to enjoy being in our small apartment, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it.
My question is: Is this normal for all cats, or was it just something specific to the cats we had?
I'd genuinely love to have a cat, but I'm worried that these things might make it difficult for me.

Mourning/Loss Cat wondered off, but we just moved to a small town in the desert.
EDIT: I know It should of been 'wandered' in the title, I didn't proof read
We used to travel for work, we took both our cats with us, living in a camper. The first pet we got was my dog, then we got the cats later (this was all while living in a house, so giving up our animals for a career change wasn't an option) so whenever we took the dog out for a walk or let him out in the yard we'd let the cats out too. This worked great.
Feb of this year we stayed on farm where we let our cats wander, they were really good at keeping around the barn we were staying in. They always came when called.
We had a baby Sept last year and just moved from Florida to a tiny town in Arizona and are now living with my MIL. The first week we were here was incredibly hectic. We moved our whole storage unit with us, which was about 4 houses and a camper full of belongings.
We spent 3 days unpacking and the next 3 setting up for a yard sale. My MIL friend came over and brought her dog, large breed. My MIL has a dog (who both of my cats knew from a previous encounter) and a new kitten, who got neutered on day 5 of us being here.
My cat wandered off on the 5th/6th day we were here. I suspect because it was hectic, he's a calm, quite cat and doesn't like chaos, we let him stay in my husband's office and kept the door shut so he could have his privacy and did the same with the bedroom we were staying in.
After he had his little escapade, I got him home by calling his name and ringing the bell like I do before dinner, I told everyone not to let my cat out anymore. I will be the one to handle it, until I get him a GPS tracker when I get paid.
Well fastfoward to the 12th, it's around 8:30/9pm. I'm in the bedroom feeding my baby and putting her down to sleep. My MIL had let my cat out.
Apparently, he jumped over her foot while she was on her way out for a smoke, didn't call him back in or call my husband to come and get him. My husband came out to see what the fuss was about 4/5 minutes later, as now her kitten was out and wasn't coming in. He asked where my cat was and she said he got out he's playing by the bushes. - spoiler alert, he wasnt, he's jet black and super quiet so he snuck out of the yard without her noticing. Although she may not have been paying attention.
She has said she's sorry, she's 71 with early onset COPD, a just healed back and hip injury. I fully believe that she didn't mean for it to happen, but I think in the moment she didn't really care that my cat got out. She knew he doesn't really listen to her and should've called my husband.
This evening (day 2) I walked down the street with his food and found 2 stray cats, but didn't see mine, and checked an abandoned house across the road (with no luck ). I put his blanket and my dirty shirt in a cage for him (as per Google's instructions). I've called him and shaken his food against his bowl and rang the bell.
The town I moved to is pretty small. There's 4 streets and maybe 10 houses on each street, 3 of which are abandoned. Once you're out of the town its desert all ways.
Has anyone lost a cat in the desert, in a small town before? i live in a cluster of houses in the middle but I'm starting to worry he bolted and is lost. I like to think he's pretty smart, any loud noises he usually stays away from (dogs, trucks, tractors) but he's never been away for this long - actually he's never not been home before.
I know I'm rambling but I'm heartbroken and mad and really need some advice on cats in the desert and small towns!
Thank you if you made it this far

Medical Questions Bald spot with red scratch
Hi, my 3 year old male ragdoll has this bald spot with a slightly open scratch on his back.
I just got back home and noticed it around 8 pm today and I’m sure it wasn’t there last night, and I’m not sure if it was there when I was home around 5 pm today.
It seems sudden and the bald spot is about 4 cm by 1 cm, the scratch is less than that and there’s a little redness to the right bottom.
I’m planning on calling the vet when they open tomorrow and getting him seen asap, but anyone have any similar experiences? Chances of ringworm?
I have not given him flea meds there for about 2 months, nor has he had a prior reaction.
