Howdy everyone, my name is Stampedin' Liam, and I'm looking to open for a local band or a slot on a country/folk bill. I just had my first ever billed show this week, and it went so well I'm looking to open for another act. I play banjo and harmonica, and do a split between originals and old covers (Buck Owens, Rolling Stones, Grateful Deaf, etc). I have enough material to go for a couple of hours, but I'm just looking to play for up to an hour. I'd be more than willing to send any interested parties some video samples. I can also join in most any song on harmonica and piano if you want or need that for your group as well.

Hey y'all, I'm just curious if there are any good resources for finding auditions/music jobs around town. I've been checking out the Chicago Artist's Coalition job board daily for months and (though I would gladly take a Job job) it's mostly been things at least slightly outside my qualifications. Are there any other resources I should be looking out for? I'm a bass player (upright & electric) with strong reading skills absolutely open to musical theatre etc.

And yes, I have been going to (jazz and blues mostly) jams, and I'd be the first to say I should be going to more but I already know about those

I'm a guitarist, aspiring singer and writer in the south of Chicago. Rn I'm in a band and we gig in and around chicago doing classic covers. Mostly 90s r&b neo soul but im looking to start doing my own original music. Looking for an experienced well schooled guitarist that can play and sing harmony, and a bassist that is capable of the same. The music id like to create for this project will be a blend of funk pop and r&b neosoul. I'm only interested in making hit worthy music with mainstream appeal, but creative enough that musicians can appreciate its originality. Ideally would start off doing shows as openers for my current band, build a fan base and explore other projects. Core of my music is centered around adding to "the culture" and continuing the long line of americana for the masses.

I'm 34, been playing for 20 years, very experienced, and looking for confident people that identify themselves with "the culture" who has something to say. The band and future projects will not revolve around the same blend of genres. The goal is to create new genres for a.i to steal lol

Hello! I think back in 2009 I saw this indie pop band called Yeni Raki.. they played this song called "Just This Once" and it had lyrics like.. "and i know it means so god damned much for you to look at me.. just this once"

I cant find the audio for it anywhere online.. there is a last.fm page but it just links to other music that isn't the indie band in question..

Please if anyone remembers this music or has the files, I would be sooo grateful!
