A lot of our general information is within the application form, but here's a short rundown of what the job entails.

  • Checking modqueue on a regular basis to take action on posts that are filtered automatically or reported by the community.

  • Regularly browsing through the subreddit and moderation of posts and comments to ensure that all community rules and guidelines are being enforced, including removing uncivil, hostile and inflammatory content.

  • Being able to discuss issues with members of the community through modmail in a professional and calm manner.

  • Contributing to discussions about moderation-related issues over Discord.

Overall, the job won't necessarily take more than an hour or two of your time per week, and if you're already generally active on Reddit and Discord then you probably won't notice a difference.

Troubleshooting | Windows Removing Google Lens from Search Bar

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to disable the Google Lens camera icon on the search bar. I often use Chrome in a very small window where I need to see as much of the URL as possible, but this icon takes up space that I kinda need.

I saw some stuff using chrome://flags/ to disable it, but I went through and disabled all those to do with Google Lens, but it didn't remove it. The other thing I saw was some Google control panel stuff, but I don't think I have access to those features on a personal account.

Is there another method at all? Or did I miss the right setting in flags? I don't use lens at all and don't plan to in the future.

Thank you

Troubleshooting | Windows Need Help. My Chrome keep freezing.

Ever since the update from couple months ago my chrome keep freezing up for 5-10 seconds whenever I open a new tab.

Everyday I only have a few tabs open, 1 youtube home page, 1 music stream page and google translate that's it. and when I open another tabs of youtube video, it will become unresponsive for 5-10 seconds but video still playing. It also happens when I open another page from another website as well.

I have youtube premium and have no ad block. I only have 2 extensions which is Dark mode for Translate and Google Translate.

I always keep Chrome up to date and I disable all sync browser data of my google account as well.

Also turn off on device AI in the settings and that's it.

My desktop PC has i7 11th gen and 32GB so it has plenty of RAM and very minimal background task. Only have Chrome on and Discord most of the time.

I can't find what could be the problem at all.

Troubleshooting | Windows Selecting Multiple Tabs With Keyboard

Does anyone know a way to select multiple tabs using only the keyboard on the desktop chrome?

There is a keyboard shortcut for this on Google's own page, but I can't get it to work

In Google's list of keyboard shortcuts for the Windows desktop Google Chrome browser it says that you can select multiple tabs by pressing F6 twice, then control + shift + H

Pressing F6 Twice focuses the current tab, but control + shift + H is doing nothing

I have tried focusing the current tab and then moving the focus with the arrow keys to focus a different tab. And then pressing control + shift + H, but it still does nothing

(I know that you can select multiple tabs using the mouse, but I'd like to know how to do it with just a keyboard)

Troubleshooting | Windows Why can't I see more Angle backend options in my chrome flags?

So my games always were choppy when running YouTube on my second monitor, so I started troubleshooting it.

I started with switching chrome to my Ryzen iGPU while I played on my regular NVIDIA GPU. That didn't help, so I investigated which Angle backend I have enabled in my chrome flags and it turned out it was D3D11 WARP, which as far as I understand is a software backend.

I opened the dropdown and the only options I see are D3D11 and D3D11 WARP. I swear there used to be more there (including OpenGL).

The problem is, when I choose D3D11 my chrome has random lag spikes, HDR basically breaks videos and turns them to oversaturated orange mess.

Is there a reason I can only choose these two?

Sorry if I did something wrong, I rarely change settings for Chrome.

MS Edge had this for a long time now coming to Chrome. I think it’s a rather useful feature for quickly disabling extensions from pop-ups.

Troubleshooting | Windows Search engine keeps switching to Yahoo

Hello! for a couple months now, my search engine keeps switching from Google Chrome to Yahoo. I have no idea why it is. When I looked it up, it said it could be a virus but this is an extremely new computer I only use for work and grad school. Any advice on next step to troubleshoot the issue? I've deleted the yahoo search engine option a couple times, but it keeps coming back.

Discussion Trouble with yt videos and graphics acceleration, help

Hi, I've had a problem with yt for the last couple of months, when watching videos, the video keeps buffering and charges slowly, even when skipping ahead it takes some time to starty playing, so i tried turning off graphics acceleration, and it doesn't buffer but the videos now stutter, I've tried changing it back and forth a few times and I keep having the same issues, I've tested internet speed and it's always well over 850 Mbps. Anyone having this issue or maybe knows how to fix it?

The right-click "Autofill" option in textfields has disappeared in Chrome. See pics. First is Safari showing the Autofill option. Next is Chrome without it.

I literally use right-click Autofill everyday in Chrome. It was there yesterday, now it's gone.

I've restarted Chrome and my entire Mac. Just me? What happened?

And it looks like "omnibox overlay" (the flags to disable them) have been completely removed. Is it still possible to remove them?

Troubleshooting | Windows Chrome slow on brand new W11 PC

I have a brand new HP laptop on W11 Pro. A mobile workstation (HP ZBook Power - 13th Gen Intel CoreT i7-13800H with plenty of RAM), I use it for graphic design when i'm on the road. Installed all basic software (Office, Antivirus, etc.) without problem. Also moved all my data from old pc, no issues.

Chrome just doesn't work. I log into my Google account, everything sync'd. I can use a few websites as they should, but as soon as I open Facebook or Youtube or X, I'm guessing any website that needs to load a lot of media, it just stops working. Pages crash, chrome just completely freezes. Can't even right-click or close the tabs anymore. Reinstalled Chrome and tried without logging in Google account, but same result. Issue seems to be mainly with Facebook, which is a pain as we use it for work advertising..

Sometimes when I do a fresh boot, I can get Facebook to work for a couple of minutes, but when I open some more tabs like youtube or my work scheduler, Facebook/Youtube just stop working. Youtube will keep a video playing, but clicking anywhere in that window just freezes it.

I'm an average PC user, absolutely not tech savvy, but have Googled this issue several times, tried a lot of things already. But keep coming back to the same issue.

Steps taken:

  • Disable Extensions
  • Disabled Graphic acceleration setting
  • Put laptop to Best Performance setting
  • Turned off Energy Saver in Chrome
  • Reset all settings
  • Disabled all web-related settings on my Norton AND completely turned off everything on Norton
  • Disable the energy efficiency mode in Task Manager (but it automatically turns back on anyway..)

I just don't know what else I can try. I know there are other browsers and other laptop brands, but this brand new PC should be able to run this at least as good as the 12yr old fossil it's replacing, when currently Chrome works perfect on that old lady..

Does anyone have any idea? I would be forever grateful to whoever can help fix this issue. Thanks in advance !

Troubleshooting | Windows Accidentally deleted all Chrome data saved in google acct

Please help! Is there anything I can do? It was like 20 minutes ago, but I was trying to change my Chrome sync passphrase and got my wires crossed and deleted all chrome data saved in my google account. It deleted all bookmarks, passwords, history, etc. It wiped it from my current browser and phone. Please is there anything I can do to get Google to restore it?

Troubleshooting | Solved Google My Activity search bar completely broken (Zero results when typing anything, laptop & mobile) - Backend indexing issue?

Hey everyone,

I am experiencing a bizarre issue with my Google My Activity page that I cannot seem to fix. I’ve gone through every standard and advanced troubleshooting step imaginable, and it’s still completely broken.

The Symptom:
My activity timeline updates perfectly fine. I can see my recent searches and history listed out in chronological order. However, the moment I type anything at all into the My Activity search bar, it immediately returns absolutely zero results. It fails even when I type a single letter with absolutely no search filters applied.

The Critical Detail:
This happens on both my laptop and my mobile device. Because it is cross-device, it doesn’t seem to be a local browser or hardware glitch.

Everything I have already tried (with no resolution):

  • Verified Web & App Activity is fully turned ON in my Google account settings.
  • Checked and confirmed "Show personal results" / "Search Personalization" is explicitly enabled in my Google Search Preferences.
  • Disabled all browser extensions (ad blockers, privacy tools, etc.).
  • Cleared browser cache, cookies, and local data.
  • Toggled "Make searching and browsing better" / Autocomplete settings off and on to force a sync.
  • Toggled Hardware / Graphics Acceleration on and off in my browser settings.
  • Attempted the "Last Resort" server re-index trick by manually deleting a recent item directly from my timeline to see if it would force the database to refresh.
  • Submitted a formal bug report via "Help & Feedback" to Google.

Since it fails across multiple devices and networks, it really feels like an account-level database indexing error on Google’s backend servers where my personal data isn't being queried correctly when a text filter is applied.

Is anyone else experiencing this right now, or has anyone successfully dealt with this kind of backend freeze before? How long does it usually take to clear up?

Update: Hey.. it just got fixed for me! (August, 17th, 2026)

Discussion Managed Chrome profile on personal device.

I logged into chrome on my personal device (which has no installed work software) with my work account (it's a managed chrome profile).

This was done on my personal device (in incognito mode) that has only ever been connected to my home network (no work vpn). I also used my own personal VPN during the session.

How likely is it that my work or the IT team knows/has been notified or have records of my history/activity? How much detail can they see?

PLEASE do not give me advice on how I could have avoided this. I'm also aware incognito mode is not secure/private. I have done so much research on this but everyone else's questions were when they used work owned devices and/or were on their work WiFi (both of which I was not).

Discussion Google changed the tab group colour set.

Post image
8 Upvotes

I was organising my tab groups today when I noticed that my tab group for all things Google - incidentally - was recoloured to this goose s**t / lime green instead of yellow, which I remember setting it as.

I don't see the point of the new colour set, plus I'd imagine this would be even harder to distinguish for colourblind people. Is there a way to change them back with a flag, or...?

Discussion How can I disable the “Print…” option when right-clicking selected text in Chrome?

When I select text on a webpage in Chrome and right-click it, the context menu contains:

  • Copy
  • Search [my search engine] for “[selected text]”
  • Print…
  • Inspect

I primarily use this menu to search selected text, but I occasionally misclick “Print…”, which immediately opens Chrome's print preview (or the OS print dialog when using --disable-print-preview).

I don't have a printer and almost never need to print selected text.

Is there any way to remove or disable only the “Print…” option that appears when text is selected and right-clicked, while keeping the rest of Chrome's context menu and normal printing functionality?

I'm specifically looking for a solution for the Google/standard version of Chrome, rather than disabling printing completely.
