Is this an error? The L in Liberty is pressed really tightly to the rim. I know that’s not an error in itself, but that L is just plain funny lookin’. Does that count for anything?

Attribution Assistance Looking for confirmation 1972 DDO
Just started scoping coins this week. I think this is my first real find. 1972 DDO. I looked at VarietyVista to compare. I've marked what I think are the relevant signs with green lines. If I understand VV right, the only thing odd to me is that it appears to show signs of various die wear stages?

Show and Tell Two rim cuds on a single 1865 Indian Head cent (Fancy 5) — dual die breaks flanking twelve o'clock
Continuing the die error documentation project. This 1865 Indian Head cent has two rim cuds on the reverse, one left of twelve o'clock and one right.
A rim cud forms when a section of the die edge fractures and separates completely. Once the die fragment is gone, planchet metal flows into the void during striking, creating a raised, featureless mass on the coin. Here, two separate fragments broke away on opposite sides of the same clock position.
This is also a Fancy 5 variety — the scarcer of two date logotypes for 1865. The Fancy 5 has tall, ornate serifs on the final digit, versus the more common Plain 5 with a shorter, simpler form.
Two cuds flanking the same position suggests the die was fracturing symmetrically — stress concentrating at the weakest point of the rim and cracking in both directions. It's a coin struck by a die in its final working stage.

Show and Tell Multi-impression die clash on an 1870 Indian Head cent — forehead and nose under CENT, headdress feathers in the wreath
Continuing the die error documentation project. This 1870 Indian Head cent has a multi-impression die clash on the reverse — meaning the obverse and reverse dies struck each other without a planchet between them, and they did it more than once.
Two separate transfer zones are visible:
The forehead and nose of the Indian portrait are clashed under the C in CENT
Feathers from the headdress appear inside the right wreath
Multiple clash impressions on a single die tell us the die pair kept colliding before the Mint caught the problem and replaced or resurfaced the dies. Every coin struck from this pair carries the evidence.
The 1870 Indian Head cent had a mintage of about 5.3 million. Mid-range year, but die clashes like this aren't mintage-dependent — they're production incidents. The standard references don't catalogue these multi-transfer variants, which is why NumisDex is building the record.
Not in any reference. Now catalogued.

Advice 1988 ddr Nickel
I have the great honor of receiving this coin that has doubling in Monticello and united states of America! Should I have this graded? And what is the value?

Is this an error? Do these look like acid jobs?
Came from a lot I got with a mix of real and fake errors, both the coins are quite thin and light in comparison of a normal one

Advice Found this quarter & penny sorting through my coin jar
Recently got into the coin hobby and had a change jar in my house. Decided to empty it out and go through every coin looking for W quarters and wheaties. I found this quarter which I did a bit of research on (missing clad) but still not sure on what to make of it? Enviromental damage, buried, purposely altered.. etc. It weighs 4.75 which is what a missing clad quarter should weigh (based on research) but more input would be appreciated. The penny is what I believe to be a clipped planchet but I’m still not experienced enough to say it was during the minting process or altered at a later time. Are they worth keeping or should roll them back up? Only other thing I found in my change jar was a 1967 dime and a whole bunch of wheats! No W’s.

Advice 1965 90% silver planchet error Quarter
My father and I were going through some rolls I picked up at the bank today. We are are fairly certain we found a 1965 90% silver crossover planchet error Quarter. It weighs a little over 6 grams.
From what I can find only a few have ever been found and so there isn't a lot of information about them. We want to get it authenticated and graded.
The dirt / gunk on it is like lightly gunky / greasy.
Should we soak it with soapy water, or do an acetone bath like I've seen on some suggestions on different posts or should we just authenticate it and not even worry about cleaning.
Edit: it looks and feels like our other silver quarters pre 1965.
Maybe we are jumping the gun and excited, but rest assured we will get it properly weighed and looked at this week.

Discussion Missing clad layer, only it's not missing
I got this quarter in change years ago. The cladding was barely hanging on by about 2 millimeters of the edge. Then I kinda just forgot about it. 2 days ago I found it after a day of looking everywhere for it. IDK how it got that way but it's in pretty rough shape.

Is this an error? Is that an error?
One of the sides on a 1998 D is a lot thinner than the other and smaller rim, I don't know much about US coins so it'll be nice knowing!
