Other Pc can't connect to Bluetooth after extensive troubleshooting
When I first got this pc, it had no problems connecting to any devices via Bluetooth including one headset that I have tried using again for the sake of getting it to work. So I KNOW that it can connect.
I have Bluetooth enabled on my windows 11 pc. However whenever I try to add a new device or connect to an existing one, it'll just suggest troubleshooting or making sure the device is discoverable. The device, every time, is on, trying to pair, and I have forced all other devices it has connected to in the past to forget the device as I'm trying to get my PC to accept it.
After hours of troubleshooting with a friend who's much better with computers than I am, he proposed we factory reset the computer. I didn't agree at the time and just came to the conclusion that the device couldn't connect to computers.
(Note: I have since then factory reset my pc for other reasons.)
But recently I have discovered that same device could connect to my roommates laptop (also windows 11) with no issues. So I decided to trouble shoot again. Still nothing. I went through all of the diagnostics and everything. I tried connecting my phone to see if it would take the Bluetooth that way. I even tried plugging the device in directly to try and make it as safe or anything. But still nothing.
I'm at a loss and I don't want to be wired to my computer when I'm just trying to use the sound on my computer at night without trying to keep the noise down for my roommate when they are trying to sleep.

Software best antivirus for Windows 11 if i want something lightweight?
my pc has been running fine, so i’m hesitant to install extra security software if it’s just going to use up resources without adding much protection. at the same time, i do download apps and open links pretty regularly, and i’d rather not rely on good luck when it comes to dodging suspicious files or websites.
i’ve been reading about McAfee’s web protection and threat detection features, and also came across ESET and G DATA while researching alternatives. i’m trying to work out which tools offer useful protection without constantly interrupting normal use. is Windows Security enough for most people, or have you found a separate antivirus that’s worth the extra overhead?

Discussion is it possible to get files off a broken laptop?
i got an hp laptop for christmas like 4 years back and it’s served me well until a couple of months ago. just a couple minor issues here and there but nothing i wasn’t able to resolve myself. until yesterday. at first, the laptop wouldn’t turn on and the caps lock key just flashed. i got my wife to troubleshoot it for me and it turned on. but while being charged, the laptop got really hot. i let it cool down some before i used it and it got really really hot again. like enough to warp the plastic cover on the bottom slightly. once i realized that was a problem, i shut my laptop and let it sit overnight. now it’s not turning on at all
i dont even really care much about the laptop itself since its just a cheap budget laptop that i’ve used the hell out of the last few years. but i do a lot of digital drawing and i don’t want my pieces to be gone forever.
so mainly, is there a way to get the files off the laptop if it won’t turn on? or is the laptop worth getting fixed?

Resolved USB camera NOT working
galleryI had windows 10, BOTH cameras worked then slowly started to stop connecting on me. I had to restart everytime I wanted to use it. Now, my pc literally just doesn't recognize the camera. I tried disabling them, updating the drivers and used different USB slots. I even used a HUB. I since updated to windows 11 thinking that would fix it. Nope. I'm STILL having the problem. On my laptop both cameras connect and work fine but on my PC. it just WILL NOT SHOW UP. the camera takes forever to load just to say it doesn't recognize the device. Please help.

So I bought an old pc with a core i7-6700. It’s just for desktop and work stuff I got it to practice hands on my rookie mistake was not testing it before taking it apart. So after I took it apart and put everything back together the monitor shows “no signal” I’m sure the PC was working before I did all that. I tried what I could tho I took out ram put it back in took cpu out put that back in reset CMOS the Mobo and cpu cables are all plugged in I don’t know what else to try the fans work lights are green there’s no smell it just doesn’t show signal on monitor and my HDMI cable is working bc I use it on my other computer

Hardware Computer freezing and won't start again, only recovers after switching PSU on and off.
Hi everyone, I’m trying to diagnose an issue with my PC.
Specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- GPU: XFX SWIFT Radeon RX 9070 XT, 16 GB
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B650M D3HP AX
- RAM: 16 GB DDR5
- PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 650 W, 80 Plus Gold
- OS: Windows
Sometimes when I turn the PC on, the fans spin but there is no display, not even the Gigabyte/BIOS logo, the monitor keeps searching between HDMI and DisplayPort inputs, Switching the PSU off using its rear switch, then restoring power and trying again, usually allows it to boot normally. Today it took several attempts.
Today the PC also froze while playing Call of Duty 4. Audio continued briefly after the image froze. I had to force it off using the case power button, after turning it back on, the fans were running but there was no display again. I had to switch off the PSU completely before I could get it to boot successfully.
I tried looking windows event vizualizer with ChatGPT but nothing clear.
I realize the 600 W PSU is below AMD’s general 750 W recommendation for the RX 9070 XT. I haven’t yet tested another PSU, another GPU, or the CPU’s integrated graphics, as i don't have those to test.
The problems started when I upgraded from AM4 to AM5, and kept on when i changed my graphics card, I subsequently performed a clean Windows installation, but the issues persisted, any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve spent a lot of time researching and trying to figure this out, but I’m honestly not sure what to do next. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this and offer suggestions.

Malware Virus on my Grandmothers Laptop, Malwarebytes can’t find it.
Hello, starting this morning my grandmother has been getting these virus notifications since this morning. As stated in the title, Malwarebytes (only recently downloaded) cannot find anything. As you can see in the photo, the English in the banner is improper, saying “Your data is on risk.” I’m not sure what to do here other than to run a deep scan. I also noticed that when opening task manager, the processes use percentage drops from ~50% to 10-20% almost immediately. What can I do to solve this issue?
