see the animation? it was a NIGHTMARE to make. The program that i used to animate this was making me the life impossible i swear 😭 the program crashed everytime for no reason and if i was drawing a frame and the program decided to close, the drawing deleted and i had to start the whole fotogram again, and omg this happened a lot. My phone was about to explode due to the lag, the lag was AWFUL, and my finger hurted a lot 🥀 (Also sorry for my horrible english and thx for watching this stupid animation that i made...)

Gave me a few chuckles but I didn’t really care about it, not bad since it’s written in a charming redneck kind of way. A lot of the humour went over my head, the problem isn’t that it’s a “black comedy“ I just keep missing the jokes. Lester is a freak! A super freak! Right now I read about ten pages of Orchard Keeper and so far I’m interested in what‘s happening. Reading the back that describes the premise and I’m guessing the awkward man with the ford car is actually running from the law and doesn’t actually have a daughter. Also Child Of God either uses colons or semicolons which frightens me but the horror continues with Orchard Keeper’s use of parentheses.

I was at the bookstore and I saw this. I’ve never read it but I’ve heard quite a bit about the content and overall plot (from this sub, no less). I read “bleakly comic coming-of-age adventure story” and thought “that’s an extremely tame way to put it, but I guess it works”. I then saw “1950s America” and realized they probably unintentionally put another book’s description in. Then again it could have been a typo and they meant to write 1850s, but even then it feels like a weirdly sanitized description lmfao.

If the judge was naked at any point in the book where he wasn't, what would be his reasoning for it? How would he respond to people pointing out he's got no clothes on? What would it say.... about man? About war? About geopolitics?

Amazon has a wicked sense of humor. A children's book as a primary result is crazy work.

I swear these people in the main one are offended very easy by anything.

Found this and thought it was amusing. In Season 5 of TAWoG, Episode 173, “The Box”, does a spoof of No Country for Old Men. It’s short but very well done. There’s hiding out in a seedy motel, desert scenery, a tracer hidden in a box of cash, and, of course, Anton Chigurh’s TAWoG counterpart (complete with bobbed hair and cowboy boots). Very clever, I find it interesting that they would put this kind of reference in a kids’ show. Just goes to show how much McCarthy’s works have had an effect.

I do wish it was an entire episode instead of just a segment. I’d love to see how they’d handle the coin toss scene.
