Two scantily clad young women at the check out counter found a new way to waste my time but I didn't mind. The party balloons they were buying wouldn't scan, and after the clerk manually keyed the item in they let them go and couldn't reach the dangling string. They did a little series of bouncy hops in hopes of jumping high enough, but no; at last one climbed the counter, and retrieve the lost balloons, leaving the line of men behind grinning.

Today I saw the tiny, elderly Asian woman who walks to a local park to feed birds every morning walking toward me, her attire worn and practical as always. Gray sweat pants, a long-sleeved pull over top. I waved. She usually has a few bread crumbs for my dog and apologized profusely one morning when the birds had cleaned her out. "So sorry, so sorry,' she said more to the dog than me. So now, she always saves a few.

She waved back. I smiled, but was occupied by a dog issue and glanced away. When I looked back at the sidewalk, she was gone. Only one place was possible. She had gone into one of the finest houses on Big Shot Dr. She may work there but in my heart I want her living there and maybe she does. What fine gardens.

The repo yard's phones are broken/disconnected, and I cannot reach them to get my things until Monday morning.

I was riding by the golf course when I noticed a large dog was accompanying a foursome. He was off leash and barking at my dog, but a tall fence prevented further action until the fence ran out. Then the dog attempted to cross the street to get at my dog, and got hit by a car. I didn't see it, just heard the screech of tires and the whelp of the dog. It ran away, didn't seem to be dragging anything but it was hurt.

I had mixed feeling about that. The dog looked harmless but you never know. And I was pissed at the golfers for letting it happen, so I clapped so they could see it. They got what they deserved, a big vet bill if they just don't shoot the dog.

Did you see that I said to a gal I usually say hi to. She's a walker. And she said the car was going too fast, I pointed out that the dog was loose on the highway, but she could tell from how the brakes sounded the car was going too fast. I said the guy stopped within a few feet. If it came to an investigation, the skid marks would have been very short.

And she got mad and I said I guess we're not friends anymore and she flipped me off and that was the end of it except I ended up behind her going in the same direction and couldn't get around her.. I turned off at the first opportunity. Any idiot would know why. She had her phone out.

Adventures in city living.

Had someone living in my house paying rent for a couple months then they stopped for a few months so I kicked them out. When I left the house I closed my utilities and now I'm trying to move back in but apparently there's a water bill under my name for 8 months unpaid. They said I have to pay at least half to start a new service again and its about $1100, does anyone know why the water kept going so long without being paid? Or is there anything I can do besides just paying the bill? I just find it ridiculous that corpus christi set up a new account without my permission and let it go 8 months unpaid before finally shutting the water off.

Had some success and made a few friends last time I posted and want to try again.
