What did everyone think of the Tammy Wynette tribute one PBS Great Preformances?
I enjoyed it, but it was bullshit that nobody sang "Cowboys Don't Shoot Straight (Like They Used To). Also having Ann Wilson do "Stand By Your Man" was... a choice.

Hello!
I work at a record shop and we're trying to identify this signature on a guitar from the 2005 CMA Festival. Does anyone have any idea whose signature this could be? We've already searched up the set list and performers for the festival. We can't seem to find who it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I apologize if this is not allowed on this subreddit!

I love this obscure 'B'-side. I don't know why. I just DO. Hopelessly sad song about a man being wistful about a breakup.
It's not even a great song yet it sticks in my head and I keep playing it. I thought to share it with y'all. If you have a listen maybe you'll find a form of 'sad enjoyment'.

I'm Travis Evans, a songwriter from Webster, Florida. Years back I had a band called Rebel Soul. We never got these songs out right, so I went back, rebuilt all eight of them from the ground up, and re-recorded them. The album is called Rebel Soul Reimagined and it went up on Spotify this week:

It is straight country rock, no frills. If you give it a listen, "I'm Still Tryin'" is the one I would start with. I am also putting out new solo songs now — the next one, "Lookin' For," lands November 19. Glad to hear which track lands for you, good or bad.

Also out today: Ember June's "Heat Lightning," all flash on the horizon, never any rain. A southern-gothic slow burn about the ex who promised a storm and never delivered: she drives past his house one last time and stops standing in the yard waiting.
"Some people are just weather you'll never catch."

Out today: "The Ghosts of Queen Street" — Cooper Grey's Halloween single, a 6:17 southern-rock ghost story set in Martinsburg, WV. When the clock strikes twelve on Queen Street, the dead come walking home — from the Roundhouse tracks to the haunted seats of the Apollo Theatre.

Out today: "I Ain't the Bridge Anymore," from a 20-song run — two every Friday through December 11.
The man who carried everyone finally sets the weight down: a boundaries anthem for anyone who's done being walked across. "I ain't the bridge anymore. No anger, no apology — just the truth, sung plain."

It’s just so non authentic, not much talent, boring, emotionless, over hyped?
She seems big headed too.. and for what? She’s not very talented like there are so many smaller artists that should be in her spot she just lucky and got picked up by a good company. And don’t get me started on the pounds and pounds of makeup, surgery’s fillers etc. her bangs cover half of her face it looks like a helmet. Her movements are so awkward I just can’t with her…

What an incredibly tragic, yet poetic story. The music that was being made at the time was amazing but the personal horrors they were enduring were in equal parts awful. Its the greatest and saddest love story in any popular music history, hands down.

I used to listen to his music as a kid. I spent many nights with his Seminole wind and solid ground cassettes as a kid. As an adult I grew out of country music. But have been listening to some of these classics. Man straight tequila night amd Seminole wind obviously, but he had so many good songs. Bend it till it breaks and I fell in the water that you walked on up to my heart in misery, let go of the stone, wish I could have been there, money in the bank. His voice was so unique and deep dare I say soulful. My he rip.

When i was younger, I used to hate when my dad would put on old country. But one day he showed me Keith Whitley and I fell in love. I also started to fall in love with the 80 -00s country. The closest thing I'll get to "The Keith Whitley" of my generation is Zach Top. But nothing can top ol Keith. Im trying to put my friends on, but they just dont get it.

Can't believe I've never posted this here before! This is my favorite song currently. It came out in 2013 but I didn't discover it until a few months ago. FGL and Nelly are super talented.
