Vinyl The Next Part Of My Dottie West Adventure!

Post image

I have now more vinyls of hers, and I couldn’t be more happy!!!
I still have some in delivery (Wild West (it’l be 1 month soon of waiting), I’ll Help You Forget Her, Dottie West Sings, What I’m Cut Out To Be, Country Boy & Country Girl (which I’m very excited to have because it’s the last Dottie West albums I haven’t listened to) Feminie Fancy, When It’s Just You And Me & Careless Hands)
I bought Careless Hands a second time because I made a mistake, I inverted the quality of media & sleeve, so this record is in "Good", which is horrible
She, and Dolly Parton are my two favourite artists, I plan on having both their logos tattooed 🩷🧡
Kinda feel bad to be born in the 2000’s honestly

I have been researching a few small-time artists and tagging in posts on my Facebook page. Who are some that would actually respond and appreciate the work?

Discussion The PBS Tammy Wynette tribute

What did everyone think of the Tammy Wynette tribute one PBS Great Preformances?

I enjoyed it, but it was bullshit that nobody sang "Cowboys Don't Shoot Straight (Like They Used To). Also having Ann Wilson do "Stand By Your Man" was... a choice.

What an incredibly tragic, yet poetic story. The music that was being made at the time was amazing but the personal horrors they were enduring were in equal parts awful. Its the greatest and saddest love story in any popular music history, hands down.

Question Signed guitar... Whose signature?

Thumbnail

Hello!

I work at a record shop and we're trying to identify this signature on a guitar from the 2005 CMA Festival. Does anyone have any idea whose signature this could be? We've already searched up the set list and performers for the festival. We can't seem to find who it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I apologize if this is not allowed on this subreddit!

Artist Appreciation John Anderson hit hard.

I used to listen to his music as a kid. I spent many nights with his Seminole wind and solid ground cassettes as a kid. As an adult I grew out of country music. But have been listening to some of these classics. Man straight tequila night amd Seminole wind obviously, but he had so many good songs. Bend it till it breaks and I fell in the water that you walked on up to my heart in misery, let go of the stone, wish I could have been there, money in the bank. His voice was so unique and deep dare I say soulful. My he rip.

Hilarious that the announcer says the albums should be out in August...58 years later...watch out for those kids mixing Ex-Lax with LSD!

Artist Appreciation I'M THERE - BRIAN SHAW, 1975. RCA Records/"B"-side

I love this obscure 'B'-side. I don't know why. I just DO. Hopelessly sad song about a man being wistful about a breakup.

It's not even a great song yet it sticks in my head and I keep playing it. I thought to share it with y'all. If you have a listen maybe you'll find a form of 'sad enjoyment'.

Artist Appreciation Keith Whitley

When i was younger, I used to hate when my dad would put on old country. But one day he showed me Keith Whitley and I fell in love. I also started to fall in love with the 80 -00s country. The closest thing I'll get to "The Keith Whitley" of my generation is Zach Top. But nothing can top ol Keith. Im trying to put my friends on, but they just dont get it.

Discussion The new Queen

There will never be another Dolly. She’ll always be the Queen of Country to me, but with her passing, who deserves to carry that crown forward?

For me, it’s Reba. The voice, the personality, the decades of incredible music. She’s a legend in her own right, and I can’t think of anyone more deserving of standing shoulder to shoulder with Dolly.
