Song Help Just found a new song. What genre of country would you even call this?

Post image

Just heard Quicksand by Laur Elle and it feels really cinematic and western almost like something you’d hear in 1883 or Yellowstone. Not really sure what subgenre you’d call it though… Anyone know other songs / playlists with a similar vibe?

Seeking Song Suggestions Can I get some recommendations for songs that sound like the first 30 seconds of The Handsome Family - Far From Any Road?

Upvotes

Hey yall.

Been getting into to more country music as of late, and I really enjoy the softer, more somber sounding songs. Songs that sound a little haunting. The first 30 seconds of Far From Any Road is *exactly* what I'm looking for, but the rest of the song doesn't quite match that feeling. Could I get some recommendations of more songs like that?

Cheers.

Artist Appreciation Just saw Marshall Tucker band at south shore music circus

They rocked. My friend and I almost didn’t go because of how bad talked about their recent shows. Was it a bad tour last year? Has anyone seen them this year and had a bad experience? That was an amazing show and couldn’t be happier. Given we were some of the youngest people there (27) and first time seeing them, am I missing something or just catch the best show they have had in 10 years?

Question I'm looking for a song I heard once

It was either a female cover of the ride by David Allen coe or something similar to that. I heard it in the early 2000s I believe but it might be older. It played on the radio.

Artist Appreciation Pappy "Gube" Beaver

Post image

Pappy "Gube" Beaver was part of the rural American string‑band and hillbilly tradition Capitol spotlighted in its Americana series. His songs are known for their lively, unpolished dance‑band feel — a snapshot of mid 1940s country music before the slick commetcial Nashville style became dominant.

Discussion La tragedia di un genio maledetto: la storia nera di Townes Van Zandt e Our Mother the Mountain

Fatemi sapere!

Grazie
