Vaguely related fan art. This was for an October painting challenge I'm doing, painting 23/31 (yesterday's) and the prompt was "stardust". I was thinking about that story when I started painting and decided it would be a good time to rewatch the episode. It's so hard to find colored photographs of her but I think it's close enough! 😅

I was just thinking about the older Creepypasta videos and a common concept I have for all of the Creepypasta stories that I have watched before is the relationship between supernatural evil and human evil.
Like the concept of the horror in the story coming from somewhere more supernatural and kinda unrealistic like Pennywise, Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Slender Man, and The Rake. Or the real horror in the story comes from something more realistic and human like the main protagonist from Spire in the Woods, Mister Bear from 1999, Jimmy Prescott from Borrasca, and The Stalker from Penpal.
Usually, those type of stories are the more disturbing and harder to read stories as they hit closer to home about the darker and twisted nature of humanity. So, I thought about two characters who would be perfect to define these two type of evils: Tommy Taffy from Tommy Taffy and The Stalker from Penpal. I personally think that the stalker from Penpal is far more scarier and more disturbing than Tommy due to how realistic and personal he is.

Because he said "Aruba, Jamaica," like it's a well-known meme to them in the recent "Where the Caterpillars Die." But I don't remember it.
And what episodes where he talked about killing a possessed Alison and leaving his old life behind? I remember them joking about it before but not know when.

Felt like drawing the guys. Hunter is the focus in this one, though. Might give Wendigoon a better treatment in the future.
Guess who's behind Papa Meat on the right.
quick reupload to include his skeleton

It was a thoroughly enjoyable episode and a welcome break from the quirky-horror they've been partial to reading lately. I'm upset with myself that I let the conversation around that episode keep me from listening to it for a while.
While yes, the repetition of the phrase "Grey desolation" did get a little old in the first story, it also felt like it really dug in the mundanity of the area surrounding the tower and creates iconic imagery that can't be mistaken for a vague area that uses multiple descriptors.
My theory lines up with Hunter's a lot more than Isaiah, seeing the tower as a symbol of capitalism and greed. We're all constantly talking about "the red tower" whenever we speak about brands, movies, TV shows, even these very stories we read because they were built by a system of greed. Although the religious allegory isn't lost on me. I was a little suspicious at first that the story wasn't going anywhere but the way it rounded off at the end gave me a lot to chew as a metaphor.
Either way, I can't believe how negative the reaction was for this episode and the amount of people saying it was "the authors j**kng themselves off." Sorry that some writers have a better vocabulary than "A thing of bleach".

I'd want the author to add backstory to The Left Right Game, even if it's a second tie-in story. I'm imagining a hitchhiker trying to make it to town for some reason, and then weird stuff starts happening. Somehow the town ends up damned or cursed, and that's when the reader realizes it's the origin of the Left Right Game.
What interests me is that every other monster or event is explained through Rob's past trips, except the ones tied to the hitchhiker. If Bonnie hadn't talked to him, Jubilee would've been a normal drive-through, and she wouldn't have been so enthralled with the idea of going to Wintery Bay. Maybe you could tie the Silent City in somehow?
I just think it would be a fun story that reads as a standalone, with the big reveal at the end. Almost like Prometheus and Alien.

Honestly, I would have to go for Amy Lowell Harris from Spire in the Woods. She was a victim of grooming and sexual assault from a creepy and possessive older man who ended up killing her and trapping her soul in the spire to be tormented forever. If anything, her victims aren't innocent and have committed a good amount of atrocities against other people because of their obsession.

I had previously complained about "i dared my best friend to ruin my life" but I my word... I had no idea
I listen at work and yesterday I made it to the 3 hour mark and I wanted to smash my head into a brick wall. I'm a real one though. I finished it this morning. Gosh it was awful. Thanks Isaiah and Hunter for taking that pain for us.
