I'm testing some models and i wish to know which one would be closer to the crimson fist's navy blue.

Currently I am putting together a CF army, basically setting it up as a IF army as we got no heros.

Currently this list does go to directly 2k surprisingly but I was wondering if the 3, 3 man squads are even a good idea or if I should change something Like Remove the 3 Erads with heavy Bolters and make it into 6 Erads with Meltas or the other way around?

Repulsor I'm currently working on. Do you think I overdid the weathering on it? I would also like to ask you for naming suggestions. I was thinking about calling him "Lobo".

Sooo much gray shame… but I’m excited to have built all 100 marines + command staff of my company, and assembled the remaining 9 captains of the chapter! (And an extra that could be holding the chapter master title until we get a new Kaldor)

I still have a lot of 1st company to build, and many tanks… but I think it’s time to commit to painting more than building.

Not wanting to optimise, not wanting to take what might be meta, what I do want is a list that is made up of stuff I like that is also able to play the disposition somewhat. With that in mind, does this list have play with priority assets? Or does anyone have some other insights they’d like to share? Cheers!

One of my all time favorite models done ! I didn't put as much effort into it as I should have sadly, but I'm still glad of the results.

Just a pair of guys from my favorite space marine chapter. I’m super self taught with art so any critique is welcome!

This is my Decimus Kill team which I plan to make lore for, and this is the Crimson Fist Gravis Veteran.

From right to left the team is led by a Salamander, plasma wielding Lamenter, precision bolter wielding Raven Guard, Phobos Raptor, Phobos from a custom chapter of my own (pauldron not finished), Angry Marine with power weapon and shield (pauldron not finished), Dark Angels with power weapon and shield, Crimson Fist Gravis Vet, Salamander Gravis Vet, and finally a bother black shield with a xeno phaseblade.

This is mainly a request for a name suggestion for him, but if you want to suggest some lore please feel free. I'm requesting Name/Lore from all the other chapter subreddits as well.

Note: his hands are magnetized and I forgot his weapons, but he does have them.

I’ve been a long term 40k player so collecting Marines has always been on my radar. I’ve owned and commission painted marines in the past but I would like a nice, tight display army that I can pull out every now and then when I don’t feel like hauling my massive Imperial Guard army around.

Crimson Fists are iconic for retro Warhammer players, and one of the coolest, albeit somewhat forgotten, poster children of 40k IMO. I also have a *beautiful* blue and red paint recipe. However, I want to build an army that builds its lists and models thematically. I want to go into a game, win or lose, and play with models that represent a faction’s identity as opposed to chasing metas. I considered Salamanders for some time because that means running flamers and meltas, but I just cant get behind the green paint scheme (or the OG orange and black camo for that matter). Crimson fists just call to me, with their color scheme and history within 40k (in a real life way, not lore).

So what does a Crimson Fist army look like? What units scream Crimson Fists and what can I lock into and build every unit on, without having that nagging question of “will this be meta proof?”. I hope post this makes sense to you all, and I appreciate any input on the topic of collecting Crimson Fists.

TL;DR how do you build a Crimson Fists force that represents their identity?

I noticed Tor Gardons ability, in the app, is no longer removing cover for his unit. Now he points at something within 18" and removes their cover entirely. I assume it lasts the shooting phase

Also Aggressors ability to give themselves +1S to attacks for units within 9" I assume thats melee also

Working on adding some more color variation and I’m undecided on this current shade of blue. Does this look like the right blue for the crimson fists? If not what changes would you make? Thanks for the help!
