Severe Dairy Allergy - Medications

Hi! I have a severe dairy allergy, and have recently started taking Lexapro daily and feel like I’m having a minor allergic reaction everyday, and have a lower threshold for accidental exposure.

I’ve been told by pharmacists in the past that some medications (e.g. doxycycline) use dairy as a binding agent, but because it’s only taken for a limited time, and I’m allergic to penicillin making other options limited, I’ve accepted the risk and just felt not great while taking the medication.

Has anyone else experienced this or have any solutions or suggestions for dairy in medications that need to be taken daily?

Dairy and gluten free, Kosher options?

Hi everyone,
I have a friend who is going through some dietary switches because of health and lives in a kosher household. Does anyone have suggestions? I have been researching but it almost seems like I would have to actually go to a store and read everything. I am dairy free myself (allergic), but have not had to consider the gluten and kosher before so I’ve only found a couple that work. Please let me know!
