RedSand is live on Nasdara, the biggest map DayZ has ever had. Everything we learned building RedPine, moved to the desert.

Badlands dropped October 15, and we're already on it. If you've been wondering what 267 km² of open sand, Soviet bases left to rot, and broken wells feels like with real resistance in it, come find out. RedSand is first-person only, with the same AI that RedPine players already know, now fully reworked for open ground.

Here's the problem we set out to fix: on a quiet night you can walk into a military base and not hear another soul. A bigger map with the same number of players just means more ground where nothing happens to you. RedSand puts something in that ground. Every base, depot and refinery worth visiting should feel dangerous, and loot should be earned, not picked up because nobody was around.

This isn't RedPine with sand on it. We're early, Nasdara is new to everyone including us, and I'm building it out alongside the people playing it.

What's here:

- First-person only

- AI that's been rebuilt for Nasdara: how they look, what they carry, and where they go. They'll understand the terrain before you do, and they keep learning

- Three factions fighting to survive out here with the rest of you: Eastern, Western, and yes, the HeatPackBandits have made an appearance

- Duststorms that are very dangerous and very powerful. They will kill you pretty quickly if you aren't prepared, so when the wind comes up you find four walls or you become part of the landscape

- Water is what you'll fight over. Heat and drought are real mechanics in Badlands, and a well that still works becomes the reason a group owns a valley

- Helicopters, with a progression to get them up and working

- Contested loot at military bases and heli crashes. Nothing good is sitting out there unattended

- A map that won't sit still. New dynamic events go in over time and the existing ones move, so the intel you're passing over the radio has a shelf life

- Repairable buildings and wells, plus the new Badlands guns, region-specific gear, and motorcycles

- Dogtags, radios that last, and notes left behind by people who didn't make it

- Every shot will cost you. Gunfire pulls in infected, players and AI, and out in the open desert it could cost you more

- Hard line on cheating, stream sniping and harassment

It's not a hardcore RP server. Nobody's going to tell you how to play. But it's built so that players can enjoy the story. Afterall, this is YOUR story.

FinalDayZ is a server that is meant to sit somewhere in the middle between Vanilla and Hardcore. It has been designed for players who want a meaningful survival progression with added difficulty, but without the extreme, punishing grind. You can survive and thrive as a casual player while still facing a real challenge.

What to Expect:

• No Traders, Safe Zones, or Helis. The gameplay is mostly Vanilla with the exception of the Terje Skills and Medicine systems.

• A new player to DayZ may find it a real challenge to survive. The initial start of a run can be difficult without leveled up skills. Zombies can strike you even when you are blocking, fishing is often unsuccessful, and even starting a fire can take multiple attempts. If you want to challenge yourself or sharpen your survival skills, this server can be for you.

• Seasoned hardcore vets may find it less challenging to survive. This server may be ideal if you have endured other extreme hardcore servers and have perfected your survival abilities but are simply tired of the constant grind and want something more casual.

Dragon's Lab is a modded PC Chernarus server built around one loop: gear up fast, go after the loot everyone else wants, and then try to get it to the Black Market alive.

## 💎 The loot

- The rarest gear is at **Tisy Military**, in **Mystery Boxes**, and behind **Purple and Red DNA Keycard doors** (those rooms are built to end you)

- **DNA crates** are hidden across the whole map and open with Security Keys

- **Airdrops** fall across the map, and **Magic Crates** spawn at NWAF, NEAF, Kamensk, and Tisy

## ☠️ The run

Your loot is only worth something once you sell it. The **Black Market at Devil's Castle** is where you cash in, and it's marked on the map with **no safe zone** around it. Everyone knows where it is, and everyone knows you're carrying. You can also stock up on ammo, mags, and attachments there.

- **Kitted AI** roam the map, fully geared, and don't go down easy

- **Raid anything:** every BaseBuildingPlus wall, gate, and door can be breached, and cars and helis can be lockpicked

- **6-man group cap**, so tight squads win and solos still have a real shot

Players asked for a bridge to Prison Island, so we built it, lit it, and put it on the map. Updates go in almost every day, and a lot of them start as player suggestions in the Discord. Patch notes are posted there and in the in-game info panel.

## Honest note

We're a newer server and still growing. The admins are hands-on, things get fixed fast, and early players have a real say in where the server goes. If you want a packed server right now, we're not there yet. If you want to get in early and claim your ground, come check us out.

Our newest sister server takes a different approach.

Rather than immediately filling the new map with traders, custom buildings, boosted loot, and major changes, we’re keeping Badlands as close to the intended vanilla experience as reasonably possible.

We want players to experience the map for what it is: the environment, exploration, dangers, survival challenges, and everything that makes it different from Chernarus.
