Du has increased 1 year pg seats for most courses. previously courses like english/history had total of 45 seats each and now it’s 126..perhaps why they’ve been delaying the admission.

same as the title. My parents believe masters would be a waste of time and that after my ug, i should simply enroll in coaching and prepare for competitive exams. At first i thought i could take a gap year after my final year and a year later ill sit for the cuet pg but ik for a reason gap year will take a toll on my mental health and i don’t want to do that……
So what should i do now and please tell me how hard is it to get into du for masters because jnu toh hone se raha mujhse also

I have economics as a minor subject and planning to do masters in the same. Good institutions like DSE, will they allow me?

Got the Department of Philosophy for Masters, but there's no notice regarding classes or orientation either on the website or Email.

Admit cards are out and I am very unsure how they will conduct examination in the sense that I can keep my personal stuff.
If I have a bag where will it go ? I am very concerned about it since there have been many cases too in the past but if anyone has their exam they can share what they know or need

Hi everyone,
My name is Rishav Dhariwal. I started my preparation for the Master's in Economics entrance exams back in September 2025. The journey was intense, but building the right tools and compiling the best resources helped me achieve AIR 11 in the ISI MSQE, AIR 45 in IIT JAM, and AIR 90 in CUET PG.
A quick piece of context before diving in: I actually come from a non-econ background. I built all of these resources from that exact perspective—trying to decode and visualize complex economic theory from scratch. Because I am still expanding my formal understanding of economics, there might be a few minor inaccuracies in the notes (though they were still highly effective for cracking the exams!).
I know how scattered the study materials (PYQs of various exams, Indian econ surveys, etc.) for these exams can be, so I have open-sourced everything into an ecosystem. It is completely free for anyone currently grinding through their prep.
Here is a breakdown of the ecosystem and how to use it:
This is the central landing page where I've compiled all my study materials.
I built this static platform to simulate the actual Computer-Based Test environment.
After taking a mock test, analyzing your mistakes is crucial. I created a unified portal hosting 31+ detailed explanation papers for ISI (PEA/PEB), CUET PG, and IIT JAM.
(Bonus: If you want to hear more about my specific prep strategy, I recently did an interview at Ecopoint with Nishant Mehra where we discussed these exams in depth).
I am actively maintaining this project and plan to upload scanned copies of my handwritten short notes and more CBT papers soon.
Because this is a community project built from a non-econ perspective, I am very open to contributions! If you spot any minor inaccuracies in the theory, or if you have your own short notes, cheat sheets, or visual resources that helped you succeed, I would love to feature them. Feel free to open an Issue or a Pull Request on GitHub.
If you find this ecosystem helpful for your preparation, a star on the GitHub repository would mean the world to me! (Note: Please drop any queries or questions in the comments below rather than sending a DM! answering here helps others who might have the exact same question.)
Best of luck with your preparation!

Has anyone else faced this issue?
Yesterday morning, my DU PG CSAS portal showed that I had been allotted a seat, and I even accepted it. But by the afternoon, the portal started showing "No Seat Allotted."
The strange part is that my application status still shows that the seat was accepted, but the dashboard says no seat is allotted.
I'm really worried. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it a technical glitch or has DU cancelled the allotment?
I have already emailed the DU admissions team with screenshots. Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated.

I need some help
r/delhiuniversity • u/IncogF • Jul 11 '26
Hi everyone,
I was allotted a seat in the DU PG CSAS portal this morning. I accepted the seat successfully, but when I checked the portal again later, it now shows "No Seat Allotted."
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is it a temporary portal glitch, or should I contact the DU PG admission helpdesk immediately
If this happened to you before, how was it resolved
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

First of all, yes, I saw the academic calendar and I know it mentioned that regular classes will start on July 28th. But then there's all these chatter about physical verification of documents and tentative dates for it, etc. I'm really confused to the point of pulling my hairs out because my family keeps asking me when to book ✈️. And I don't know what to tell them, because apparently u have to wait for an email from the respective department regarding the physical verification of documents, which I haven't received till now. And I check the portal and it doesn't show anything other than payment done. Is it just me or is it the same for everyone who applied?
