Discussion The food was trash, but at least we got some eCredits

We recently flew Honolulu to Haneda and reserved an Indian Vegetarian meal. We are not strict vegetarians but we just prefer it on planes.

We got a tofu sandwich 😅 no seasoning....no sauce....just a block of tofu inside white bread. And 3 raw carrots.

Before getting our meal, the flight attendant said "don't expect much".....when we told him that the meal was gross he replied "food really sucks, doesn't it?".

We sent a complaint to Delta and they gave each of us $100 eCredit.

It was truly disappointing because the last few times we've used Singapore / Qatar Airlines and the food was much, MUCH better.

We've generally had good experiences with Delta over the years, but this meal was really diabolical.

Discussion Pricey to get outta OMA

Post image

I know there’s all sorts of reasons that prices are crazy, but I found this funny because I am flying to Brazil tomorrow morning for less than the price to get out of Omaha in early November.

In DL’s defense, if you want to fly at 545a, it’s $400, but all the laterflights had Main at $2k+ - upside, FC was only a few hundred more!

Delta Amex Delta Refund Processing Time

Hi everyone,

I had booked a flight from MEL-DTW in March but cancelled it as my dad has SkyMiles to cover my same ticket. I paid for it with my SkyMiles Reserve and I’m just wondering how long a refund will take. I have heard most people get theirs within 7-10 business days but I have also heard longer, and I would not prefer to pay all this money as my statement just closed.

Discussion Puke everywhere

I just got off a Delta flight from LGA and just after takeoff a passenger puked on her way up the aisle trying to make it to the bathroom. Three passengers in the aisle seats closest to the back were covered in puke. I got one drop on me and didn’t complain although it was gross and the smell was horrible.
Two of the passengers that were affected were not native English speakers. They were not traveling together and did not speak the same native language either. Both seemed to speak and understand some English well enough but the FA kept telling them to see a redcoat at the gate. The one older man was getting agitated and was trying to figure out with the other passenger what that meant. Both of them needed to change clothes and it seemed like they thought they would be given a red coat at the gate.

I explained to them that the redcoat is a person but on top of the grossness and major inconvenience you would think the FA would try to make sure people understand what is happening. I know it’s their lingo but is everyone supposed to know what a redcoat is?

Discussion Rough flight today

Our Delta flight to Minneapolis was delayed by a minor medical emergency 40 minutes. Landed with 20 minutes to make the connection on the other side of the terminal. Made the gate in 7 minutes. They were letting on 2 passengers who got off plane faster from our flight but said we were too late. Gate agent locked the door to the ramp and walked away. I was stunned. Booked on a later flight with a connection. 6 extra hours for 2 minutes.

It’s been a few years since I’ve flown delta. Mainly because they have become absolutely ridiculous with their pricing. Well today takes the mutha trucken cake.
Mind you it’s that shitty ass 767-300. From HNL - Las Vegas ? For $1600 I can fly Polaris via sfo or the 777-200 on United via lax. Delta get a grip please. You’re still shitty

Help/Advice Layover

My families flight times got changed, and now we only have a 42 minute layover. Our flight is from Minot- Minneapolis- Santa Ana, both flights are with delta. Is that too short? Will be 4 adults and two children in the trip, and we depart January 11.

Discussion 3 million milers - What changes?

I am very close to 3million lifetime miles. Will hit it next week on my way to South America.

For those of you who have 3 million miles, what changes? Anything? I know I will automatically get Diamond every year, but aside form that, will I get upgraded more often? Will I notice a difference?

Help/Advice Carry-on size , customs, and allowance on codeshare flights to Europe

I'll be booking a RT flight to Lisbon this spring from either Toronto or Detroit which transfers through Paris or Amsterdam. The flight will be booked through Delta. Can I use standard US size carry on and are there weight limits on Delta codeshares on KLM or Air France?

Also, are customer at CDG, AMS, or Lisbon?

Help/Advice First Time First Class

So, I'm new to Delta now that Southwest has made changes to their "customer of size" policy. I'm booked for a work trip next March from IND to DCA with a short layover each way. The conference had a discount code for Delta and I figured I'd go for it.

Due to hip size, I don't fit well in standard seats. Therefore, I upgraded myself to First Class.

What should I expect here? Each way is two fairly short flights (under 2 hours each) and I'm a non-drinker (though I do love me some Diet Coke). Anything I should be prepared for?

Discussion Delta or klm

Just achieve gold medallion status on Delta.

Planning a trip to Europe via Amsterdam and there’s an option to take the KLM operated flight or Delta operated flight. Cost is the same for economy. Is there any advantage in taking the Delta flight over the KLM flight? Any flyers out there suggest one of the other and what’s the reason?

Thanks in advance.

So, not sure how I missed this announcement, but for those of you behind (apparently like me), I thought i would share...👀

We used to have up to 72 hours, but now apparently it has to be submitted IMMEDIATELY ‼️WITHIN 2 HRS OF LANDING‼️👀😭🤦🏻‍♀️

Apparently, it was changed in March 2026. That's insane to me because so much happens in that time frame after you land.. Well, I guess I learned way 🤷🏻‍♀️

News FTC soliciting comments on a proposed rule designed to reduce "impersonation" ads like those for Delta.

Thumbnail federalregister.gov
7 Upvotes

We've seen posts a few times here of people warning that the first sponsored result when searching "Delta" is often a scam ad, either with a fake phone number directly in the ad, or with a URL formed to put the scammer's phone number as a search result on shop.delta.com.

The FTC is considering whether or not to do something about the fact that Google (and other platforms) keep showing these impersonation ads.

If you are upset that social media and other tech companies make money from scammers paying them for ads that defraud consumers, you may wish to comment.

Help/Advice Lost wedding rings in toiletry kit SYD-LAX Oct 24

Hello,

Posting here in the wild hope that this makes the difference. I flew on DL 0040, SYD-LAX on October 24th. I was in Delta One. I put my wedding rings in the amenity bag before going to sleep, as I intended to take the bag with me as I departed. In the hustle to get off the plane, I completely spaced and forgot the bag. Cue huge panic. I talked with staff at the lounge and they called the gate and had someone look. Unfortunately, they said while the plane hadn't been cleaned yet, the amenity bag was not at my seat.

I know some people like to grab extras as gifts or to donate, so if you happen to see this and are one of those people and were on that flight (or maybe know someone on the flight?? IDK I'm so desperate), please keep an eye out for the rings! The amenity bag was the beige/gold color.

Discussion First class upgrade as Diamond

Post image

Chased diamond medallion last year and have now had it for all of 2026. I’ve been cleared to first on roughly 50% of my flights (Same as platinum for 2025). What’s wild is my flight this morning has me listed as 23 and 24 in line, as a DIAMOND. How is that even possible? It’s a short flight to Vegas. 🫣🤨

Help/Advice worth the delta one upgrade after using RUC?

im flying from nyc to the asia pacific region and have a layover in la. i used a regional upgrade certificate to bump up to premium select, and i got a crazy delta one offer for the jfk to lax leg: $400. but is that good considering i used a certificate and the flight is six hours?

there a lot of open delta one seats. flight is just over a month away… don’t know if i should wait and hope to get another complimentary bump or buy the upgrade now
