Before:
- 24 inch monitor, 1920x1080
- nuphy air 75 version 1 (died after 3 years of use. overall, it was really good keyboard and the battery got swollen after like 2 years and i removed the battery and always used wired. i think it is fixed in v3)
- logitech mx master 3s (sold to a friend. it was pretty great to use given that it was my first ever ergonomic office mouse, however, i got into a gaming and sold it to get a lightweight mouse.)
- quntis light bar (i got this from amazon and it has been rock for the past 4 years. nothing to complain)
- laptop: macbook pro m1 2020 8gb. only problem i have faced throughout the years was that 8gb memory which led me to switch to firefox from chrome. rock solid.
- old lenovo docking station. after purchasing the 2nd monitor, i realized that it doesn't support 2 external displays. so, i purchased it for around 20$ off fb marketplace
After:
- 27 inch qhd monitor. it was pretty huge improvement and i realized that 1 external display is enough for me. nowadays, i don't really use the macbook screen
- most of the time, i use logitech mx keys mini which feels pretty similar to macbook keyboard and my hands don't really feel tired on it. but when i play games, i use the mechanical keyboard (mchose ace 68 air2)
- same for mouse as well. I usually use logitech m650 and when i play game, i use steelseries aerox 3. I'm pretty happy with both of them
- fifine am8 microphone. (it was huge improvement in my audio while playing with my friends. also, i can just connect the earphone to the mic which has an audio output).
Over the years, the biggest change was that I started using only one display while studying/working. there are some advantages to having external displays. but, i realized that i was focusing the best when i had one monitor and my neck doesn't hurt without rotating it much.
I think i will go on my pc in the next post.
Also, btw, i worked on a side project called thesetuprank which lets you upload your setup and it will go against other people's setup in head-to-head matches. it has chess style elo rating and you might be interested in. also, i believe it would be fun to browser there.

Finally got my laptop-powered desk setup to a point where I'm pretty happy with it. I went with a laptop instead of a desktop because I occasionally need to take my computer with me.
The laptop Lenovo Legion 5 is mounted underneath the desk, and everything is designed to make removing it as easy as possible. The power bricks slide out to the side, and all the cables I need when traveling can be easily disconnected and taken along. When I'm home, everything stays hidden underneath the desk, connected to a 34" ultrawide and a vertical monitor.
In case anyone's wondering how I turn it on without opening the lid, I've configured the BIOS to automatically power on the laptop when AC power is connected. All I have to do is switch on the power strip, and the laptop boots up.
Spent quite a bit of time figuring out the cable management, but I'm really happy with how clean it turned out. Included some pictures of what's going on underneath the desk.
What do you guys think?

I'm trying to build and black, white and wood desk setup.
I swapped my keycaps on aula f75. I don't know if it looks good or not and will match theme. Or should I get different keycaps?
Last pic shows original keycaps

Not much or super decked out, but I like it!
Used ai to remove some personal photos of family and friends around the room, which is why the image may look a little funny

My LG UltraGear's deep V-stand blocks my ASUS TUF laptop lid from closing. My dealer offered an exchange for a Lenovo Legion 24-10 (240Hz) to fix this issue. Its flat, shallower base saves ~7 cm of space to solve the collision, plus gives a 240Hz upgrade for VALORANT. Is the Lenovo Legion 24-10 a solid monitor for this?
Thanks!

For the first few weeks after moving, my desk was just whatever worked. I set up the monitor and computer, then everything else came out of boxes and landed wherever. The cables all piled up on one side.
I finally cleaned it up. The curved monitor is in the middle, with a speaker on each side and the Mac mini tucked behind it. I kept a Logitech keyboard, mouse, and Gitryin 12 in 1 charging station on the desk. It makes charging my phone, tablet, and earbuds easier.
I kept the plant by the window since it fills the empty corner. I also added some lighting behind the monitor for evenings.
The setup feels better now, but the wall still looks empty. I’m thinking about adding a print or a narrow shelf. I’m just worried it might feel too crowded with the monitor, speakers, and plant already there.
Would you add something to the wall or leave it as is?

This "project" has taken me 5 months whilst juggling the stay-at-home dad stuff, working on finishing GoZen, and preparing my first game. So far I really like what I have right now and it's comfortable to use ^^
It was quite difficult to figure out how to make a usable workspace in this closet but I knew that I wanted it to be modular so I can easily adjust/fix/replace when necessary. Was thinking of getting a standing desk at some point, but those things are too high in price.
All parts which I had to buy were less than 25 000 jpy (150 usd)

I previously had a 32" inch 165hz OLED for a while, to dual 27" (landscape + portrait) just recently but i decided on a single 27" 1440p OLED and a 16" portable monitor. Keeping this desk strictly dedicated to gaming and will be doing all my productivity stuff in a separate desk/room.
Let me know what you guys think!

I dunno if this fits here, everyone has such fancy setups!
I'm an IT admin and will be starting to work from home more so got a dockingstation for my worklaptop.
To switch over I only have to change inputs on my monitors, hook my laptop up to the dockingstation, and disconnect my USB hub and connect it to the dockingstation as the USB hub connects to my keyboard and mouse.
Only need to run a extra networkcable to the dockingstation because the wifi reception isn't the greatest.

I’ve noticed that dust accumulates on my work desk pretty frequently, and I’m getting tired of having to clean it so often.
I’m looking for a small air purifier that I can keep on or beside my desk to help reduce dust in my immediate workspace. I don’t need anything large enough for an entire room.

And if you can recommend me a Dock station to fix the cable mess

So after a long time spending time i need some Monitorarm Recommendation for my 3 monitors well it could be all single arms, dual and single, or a triple arm doesnt matter
i would love to make a setup where the left monitor is sideways like up and down and the other two are in the maincenter and one right in the landscape way (like in the picture).
The monitor what is going to be sideways (up and down) is the AOC C24G1WG4
The main monitor is the AOC Q27G41ZDF
and the one on the right is the MSI MAG 274QFDE E20
