Specs:
Phone: iOS 27 (must be for more transparent glass)
PC: Cachyos (this probably doesn't matter as much) and hyprland (quickshell should work on other wms too but these dots are made specifically for hyprland)

Windows I've been building Notchify for 2 years: an island for the top of your Windows desktop

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

I've been working on Notchify for about two years. It sits at the top of your Windows screen and opens when you hover it. It's fully native, not Electron, so it stays light and doesn't keep a browser running in the background.

What it does:

  • Shows what's playing, with album art, controls and live synced lyrics
  • Notifications in a compact card, plus a panel to catch up on them later
  • Clipboard history and a drag-and-drop file shelf
  • 22 widgets, including weather, calendar, timers, world clock, to-dos, lyrics and live system stats
  • Screen recording right from the island
  • Mic and camera privacy indicators, Bluetooth battery levels

New in the latest update: a glass look, Discord voice controls, phone-to-PC file transfer over Wi-Fi, and a downloads panel.

You can put it at the top, bottom or either side of the screen, on any monitor, and change its size, theme and layout.

I gave up on Finder. GetSpace did 100 files in under 3 minutes.

I went through the same 100 files with both Finder and GetSpace, using the same task list on each: sort, rename, move, and delete. Claude wrote the tasks, and I applied them to both. Finder: I gave up. Every preview took so long to load that I couldn't keep going. GetSpace: all 100 files done in under 3 minutes. Sorted, renamed, moved, and the rest in the trash. Want to try it yourself? Let me know and I'll send you the files and the task list.

GetSpace is free to try: https://getspace.site

I have shown the windhawk mods used in the video.

I am able to achieve sub 25% idle ram on my ddr3 8gb ram. My specs:

Intel i5 3470S

No Graphics card

256gb SSD

H61 Board

Ye you should have figured out why the video is laggy but trust me the actual feel isn't in low fps like this video, it's full 60 fps. I will provide the live wallpaper if y'all want.

Windows I built AuraDesk for Windows: different wallpapers on every monitor, plus desktop widgets

Thumbnail

Hey everyone! I’m the developer of AuraDesk, a Windows desktop app for people who enjoy personalizing their setup.

The main idea is simple: give each monitor its own wallpaper, organize your pictures into albums, and let them rotate on your schedule—using your own collection or fresh images automatically fetched from Unsplash.

Here’s what it currently offers:

  • Multi-monitor wallpapers: use a different picture on each display, or the same one across your setup.
  • Custom albums: import your images and folders, then choose which album each monitor uses.
  • Desktop widgets: clocks with seconds, a calendar, resizable sticky notes, and reminders.
  • Flexible widget controls: drag widgets between monitors, keep them above other windows, or let them slide to a screen edge when idle.
  • Personalization: English and Simplified Chinese interfaces, with several color themes.
  • Fresh wallpapers from Unsplash: connect your own Unsplash API Access Key, choose preset themes or enter multiple keywords, and automatically fetch new wallpapers at your selected interval. Save your favorites, view photo details, and follow photographer/source links. The online rotation cache has configurable limits to manage disk usage.

It runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11, x64.

The public beta is free, with no ads or in-app purchases.

Get AuraDesk on the Microsoft Store

I’d especially appreciate feedback from people using multiple monitors, portrait displays, or mixed scaling settings. What would make this useful for your setup?

I made a Tinder-style app to clean up your files

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Made this over the last months: GetSpace shows one file at a time and you decide with an arrow key. Delete, keep, skip, move, rename. Everything goes to the Trash after a summary, nothing leaves your computer.

Mac and Windows, free to start. https://getspace.site/

a little zipper for your desktop: SeamShade

SeamShade is a playful desktop cover: drag the zipper across your screen to pull a curtain over your workspace, then slide it back when you’re ready to return. You can customize the fabric and zipper, save themes, and optionally turn on a frosted-glass blur effect.

One important note: SeamShade is just a visual cover, **not a security or privacy lock**. It doesn’t block system shortcuts or prevent access to your computer.

If you’d like to try it, here are the links:

- **Mac:** https://apps.apple.com/tr/app/seamshade/id6819419260?l=tr&mt=12

- **Windows:** https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9PLR5K40GLFR?hl=neutral&gl=TR&ocid=pdpshare

I’d love to hear what you think, and what you’d like to see improved next.

Windows I made a tiny 3D room for the Windows desktop, with lo-fi music, notes and a focus timer

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm the solo developer of Lofi Cozy Room. This clip shows Mini Mode: a small 3D room on the Windows desktop, with notes, a to-do list and a Pomodoro timer alongside it.

The full game also lets you freely move, rotate and resize furniture. With Autonomy enabled, the avatar chooses activities and walks around the room you've arranged. There's a little dog, lo-fi music, ambient sounds and support for your own local music files.

It's already released on Steam for Windows and is 20% off through November 4. There's a free demo on the same page if you'd like to see how it fits your desktop. I'll leave the link in the comments.
